Michelle was in our area today but only in brief spurts and she steered clear of me, which is fine by me In fact, I caught one of her dept (imaging) mistakes today. The app RX section looked like 60 MG, but the Dr office included a separate script that clearly showed 30. But the since the imager didn't include that in the attachments, the patient got 60 I had to get them to a pharmacist to make the correction and email my manager to send a return label. See what happens when you spend more time "policing" people not on your team than checking on your own team?

I hope you will receive some form of recognition for bringing the wrong script to your manager's attention so that the patient doesn't take the wrong one. That is serious when a prescription is not filled / labeled properly. Scarlet seems to be doing okay today. She has discovered a "private" place where she can't be found but she occasionally comes out to let me know she's okay. Have been doing some "creative" things on the computer today. Buster's mom let me know that she's keeping him inside as much as possible today because it's too oppressive to be outside. I hope she follows through with that this weekend because as oppressive as today is this weekend is really supposed to be dangerous to be outside.

Yeah, I doubt anything will come of that imaging issue from yesterday. But I had another one (same agent as always) updated the address in the ticketing system but not the ordering one. So, that's another re-ship we have to eat it on. And that one is an FTE

Heat being what it is, I took Taxi 7 home. At 1/2 a mile the fare was only 3.80. Tang was waiting for me and he's had his supper and shot and will get his treats later when I provision the local waifs. He seems well.

Scarlet has been very congenial towards me today which has given us some "bonding" time without her becoming aggressive. Ordered a few things for the house online today - - necessary air filters for the furnace / AC and an electrical plug that has a turn on / off switch on the plug that I can plug the fan on top of the kitchen refrigerator into and operate it from the plug instead of having to reach up to the controls on the fan. Acorn TV had some technical glitches last night when I tried watching one of my favorite British programs so I was able to watch it in its entirety without any challenges on the TV in the living room area this afternoon. And after that I watched the final segment in the PBS special on the Apollo 11 moon landing. It's a very interesting and well done 3-part series, and I'm glad I have the PBS Passport so that I can watch PBS programs at my leisure instead of when they're scheduled on the PBS channel. Sweet Buster came by late yesterday afternoon and we had a visit out on the front porch. It's always a special treat visiting with him.

Yeah, that re-ship didn't get done right away. Since it was "in transit" my sup made me call the PT back and give her the tracking number to reroute the package. Even though it was our fault! Bottom line is it got reshipped anyway when the PT called back and it almost became a sup call. I can't seem to land anywhere that cares about quality.

We didn't do a lot today. We went first to the old place to put food out. I saw that tuxedo cat again who ran under the fence when he/she saw me, but poked back out when he/she heard the food. No others I'm afraid.

From there we went to Kroger to get the reaming provisions foe the week. Then it was back here to enjoy some cooling off time the pool which opened on time thankfully. We were only there about an hour before that "arguing" couple showed up (sigh) The one where the man smokes even though it's against the rules and the lifeguard doesn't seem to care.

So, we came in and had some lunch and watch TV and then took a nap. Tang is well and has his supper and shot and will get his treats when I set the food (water is already out) or the local waifs.

I thought I was getting my new refrigerator delivered today but it didn't make the "delivery schedule". Very annoying especially since I got up early today in preparation for the delivery. Apparently Lowe's doesn't set the delivery schedule - - the contractor who makes the deliveries does. So I have no idea now as to when it will be delivered. Scarlet is doing okay today. She has already had a screaming tantrum at Buster who came visiting through the windows. She has just tonight to get through as my brother and sister in law will be back sometime tomorrow late afternoon to take her back home. I know she will be soooooo happy to get back to HER home!!!

Considering all the aggravation you've been through over the past several weeks I can't say it's a surprise that your blood pressure is elevated, and the added aggravation doesn't help a medical issue that affects the blood pressure. Speaking of the website, I noticed in the Cybershoulder Forum that Marc has adjusted the sunset date to December 31 to coincide with his beloved Tribble's angel-versary.

Yesterday evening the contractor came to pick up the kitchen refrigerator. He had to take the doors off the hinges in the laundry / utility room - - the one closing the room off from the hallway and the other one going into the garage - - to get the refrigerator out to his truck. So now I'm waiting for my new fridge to be delivered. I got a call from Lowe's early this morning letting me know that it can be delivered on Friday, so I hope this is the case. I should receive a confirmation telephone call tomorrow evening. I'll be very glad when this project is over with. Scarlet was not pleased having to be confined to the guest bedroom yesterday evening while the contractor was removing the refrigerator, so I'm glad she won't be here when the new fridge is delivered Friday (keeping my fingers crossed). My brother and sister in law came to pick Scarlet up around 1:30 p.m.. She had voluntarily gotten into her crate before they arrived but when they came inside they decided to let her out while they shared their trip with me. By the time they were ready to go home Scarlet didn't want to get back into her crate, and there was some mild skirmishing in an attempt to coerce her to cooperate. So they left without her to give her some time to settle down. Shortly after they left I managed to get Scarlet back into her crate, and my brother returned to pick her up. She enjoyed a brushing this morning after I got back from mailing bills at the post office and brushing her after her mom and dad left seemed to help soothe her frazzled nerves, which helped to get her into her crate again so that she could go home. She really doesn't like her crate. Tomorrow I have my infusion so I don't know if I'll be online at all tomorrow. Just wanted to give you a heads-up so that you won't be concerned.

Yesterday was a long day. By the time I got home I was very tired. Today has been busy working on financials - - getting the checkbook up to date with current bills paid, etc., - - AND - - my new refrigerator was delivered today - - YEA!!! It is sooooo much better than the one that came with the unit. I'm so very glad I got the one I did as it just fit through the doors without having to take them off the hinges, and it just fits into the existing space allotted for the fridge. So I have been busy getting all the packing bits and pieces and tape, etc., removed from the interior, getting storage bins inserted, etc.. And I r e a l l y like the pull out freezer compartment. Buster is here keeping me company as I'm writing to you.

I'm sorry Anne wasn't feeling well yesterday and hope she is feeling better. Please let us know how she's doing. I know from first hand experience what a difference it is "going it alone" when you're used to having the company of a loved one, but the good news is that Anne was home to greet you when you got back from work yesterday evening, along with your precious Tang.

The infusion went okay on Thursday. It was a long day as the office was brimming with patients. The schedule was off its routine as the doctor had a couple of emergencies that took precedence over the scheduled appointments, so my infusion started later. The nurse on duty cheerfully called my brother to let him know that it would be an hour longer for him to pick me up so that he didn't have to stop whatever project he was doing to come pick me up only to have to wait in the reception room for an hour for my infusion to be done. This is why I moved to Bedford - - to make his, and my sister in law's, life easier. Buster has been here twice today. The second visit he took a nice nap on the cushion in the chair to the big computer desk. He left about 10 minutes ago to do his afternoon rounds. He is such a sweet boy. Scarlet will be here next weekend while my brother and sister in law travel to see her mother. It will just be for the weekend arriving 8/2 and going home 8/4.

There were many adorable puppies and kitties. Anne found out from their FB page that Rupert got adopted. Bittersweet, but we're glad he's found his fur-ever home.

And the ice maker is making ice quite nicely, although according to the instructions I need to throw away the first 3 batches due to the start up process. So far so good.

We didn't do much today. Went to feed the waifs at the old place, but didn't see any this time around. Then it was on to Kroger and Dollar Tree to finish with the weekly shopping. When we finished with all that, we went to the pool. We only got to stay about 30 minutes though. That obnoxious couple (where the husband constantly complains and smokes) showed up early

So, we had lunch earlier than anticipated. Tang was pleased because I used the breasts of the marked down chicken from Walmart yesterday to make sandwiches and he got his own bowl

Sorry I didn't get your email but am glad to know the website was operating again yesterday evening. I can imagine Marc will be glad when he doesn't have to deal with hackers anymore. Glad to know all is "status quo" in your household - - "status quo" is good as long as the "status quo" IS good.

Needed to make a couple of errands today, one of them being to take my car in to have the tire pressure checked. Am glad I did as the left front (driver side) tire was seriously low. The service tech couldn't find any punctures in the tire, so I need to keep a check on it. If it continues to lose air then I'll take the car back in for them to replace the tire. So when I got back I ordered a digital tire gauge and inflator so that I can keep track of it here at home - - providing of course that my arthritic fingers and hands will allow me to use it. I'll let you know what happens. Buster has come to see me today. He was here when I left to take my car in for the tire check so I left the storm door open and locked so that he could leave if he wanted to but no one could come in. Much to my surprise he was still here when I got back, but left to go on his afternoon rounds shortly afterward. Perhaps he'll come back later on.

He needed the use of my van this morning to take several large items to the dump because they won't fit in his compact car. I'm glad I got the tires taken care of yesterday. Am glad you and Anne are being able to do your work without too much interference. I presume the people with the clipboards are "efficiency observers". That's one thing that I didn't have to contend with in my employment years as a secretary, although I did take in-service workshops about time efficiency studies. There were a few employees who needed to have them done but instead their work was relegated to me to do in addition to getting my own work done. Sounds like you, Anne, and your precious Tang had a good day yesterday. If I remember correctly he has a check up soon - - either later this month or in September? How nice you saw Siamese yesterday at your previous residence when you provisioned the waifs there. Perhaps she was the appointed "spokesperson" to watch for you and let you know you are remembered.

Scarlet went home this morning, and my brother and sister in law agreed that I should bring her to her home rather than them come to pick her up. This went a LOT smoother for precious Scarlet. She got into her crate here at her own volition, and when my brother took her out of the crate she immediately relaxed knowing she was back in HER home. I'm glad this worked out well for her. Needed to do a grocery errand at Food Lion before coming back to the condo. After I got groceries sorted and put away I then straightened up everything in preparation for sweet Buster's return. And no sooner had I opened the storm door to check for him that he came trotting across the common parking area straight for here. He investigated everything and has settled under the chair in my bedroom that I use for my "dressing chair" to take a nap. It's soooo good having him here with me again.

Buster came by for a visit and was resting comfortably in my bedroom when his sweet repose was rudely disturbed by the noise of the lawnmower. He does not like the noise from the powered maintenance equipment. He came flying out of my bedroom through the pet door and was headed down the slope toward the wooded area that separates the condo complex from the individual residential homes but had to change course because the contractor was mowing that area, so I saw him anxiously trying to escape in the opposite direction. He probably went down into one of the sewer lines to get away from the noise and equipment. I'm hoping he will come back later on.

I'm glad your day at work yesterday was uneventful, and am hoping you're not on any kind of "probation" for taking time off work for the GI upset. Please let us know how things go.

Today's project was working on the shred box. The shredder worked overtime today requiring a couple of times for it to cool down before I could finish that task. Buster has come by to share the day with me. He's taking a nap on the desk in front of the window on the garage side of the condo as I'm writing to you. Late yesterday afternoon one of the residents across the road from me came to visit with her precious canine companion Bella, a miniature Sheltie. She asked me to look after Bella for her while she hosted a group of people in her unit for a couple of hours today because she doesn't want Bella "in the way". Bella is a sweet dog, but she does not like Buster. Because of this I told her that if Buster wasn't here visiting I would be glad to watch Bella, but if Buster is here I wasn't going to put him out to look after Bella. I suggested that she try gating Bella in a room - - like her bedroom - - while she was entertaining, but the response to that was "she isn't used to that." So she told me she would try to make other arrangements for her sweet Bella. Buster gets displaced enough when Scarlet is here - - I'm not going to displace him to take care of another resident's companion. Bella's mom left a bit disappointed, but I really don't want to become the caregiver - - however temporary - - of every resident's four footed companion. I don't mind looking after Buster's fur family members or sweet Abigail because I can look after them in THEIR homes when their moms and dads need some assistance. But to look after sweet Bella because her mom is "entertaining" and doesn't want Bella in the way - - to me as a former caregiver of both feline and canine companions that's unacceptable.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and quite warm (85) Caturday greetings to you. I hope you are doing well. I don't blame you for drawing the line with Bella's mom. Although I feel sorry for poor Bella having such a self absorbed guardian. I hope she will be OK and that Buster and Bonnie are doing OK as well.

Today we had lunch at Zaxby's here in the area for a change as they open at 10:30. Always nice to have the place to ourselves before the crowds get there.

From there we went to a partially indoor art/craft fair just outside of downtown by the arts/antique center. A little to hipster for our tastes though; not to mention crowded. We decided to cut out of that early and go to the flea off market in the Highlands. Still a little hipster but not as much. Plus, it was outside so plenty of puppers.

Tang is doing well. He's had his supper (which these days is becoming more cat milk than can food, but whatever works) and his shot. He'll get his treats after while when I put the food out for the local waifs.

Sounds like you and Anne had a nice day yesterday, and I know your precious Tang always enjoys the quality weekend family time. Is your precious boy having difficulty noshing his canned food these days? He's so fortunate to have you and Anne taking care of him as he knows you will do whatever you can to help him.

Buster has been in and out at least 3 times already today. It's a decent day outside with more tolerable humidity levels so it's good he's making as much play time outside today as he can because the heat and humidity return tomorrow. Am trying to get caught up on a couple of emails today. Yesterday evening when I turned on my TV I was pleasantly surprised to see that two more stations have been added to my channels - - both of them showing retro programs that I had enjoyed at my beautiful Franklin County home. So my over the air antenna viewing pleasure has been broadened which makes the decision to "cut the TV cable" even better because these two channels weren't included in the basic cable TV service.

Hello moon_beam. Partly cloudy and warm (87) greetings to you. I hope you're doing well. Glad to hear Buster as been a frequent visitor today but also enjoyed the fresh air. I hope he and Bonnie are dong well.


We went to feed the waifs at the old place first thing this morning, but I didn't see any of them. We then went to Kroger and Dollar Tree to round out the weekly provisions. The pool was not in the cards because that couple with the grouchy old man beat us to it. I think the reason he sat there complaining and smoking (yes, apparently it's allowed) that first time is because they didn't have it to themselves (can you say entitlement?) Put that with us always leaving when they show up and it all fits. Jerk.

Tang is doing well and has had his supper and shot. I don't think the issue with the can food is his ability to eat it since he eats the Purina gentle dry just fine (likes it better than the Iams) I think he's just getting finicky. I'll give him his treats later when I put out food for the waifs here.

Sounds like you and Anne had a decent day yesterday even though your plans at the pool didn't work out. I'm sure your precious Tang appreciated the extra quality family time with you and Anne. Am glad to share your news that your precious boy does eat the Purina gentle dry food okay.

Been busy working on the big computer today getting caught up on printing off invoices, receipts, and statements in preparation for the upcoming bill-a-thon, I also got my monthly financial logs updated for next year - - just need to work on my monthly calendars now for the financial log book. Sweet Buster came by for a visit and took a nice nap in my bedroom. He left about an hour ago to make his afternoon rounds in the neighborhood.

Am glad yesterday was uneventful at work for you and Anne. Busy is okay as long as it's not overwhelming - - busy to help make the hours go by faster.

Have done some "window shopping" online today making a list of things to get for my next order. Am working on my Kroger order and will place that tomorrow for pick up on Thursday afternoon on my way home after my routine appointment with my rheumatologist. Buster is visiting with me today in between his rounds in the neighborhood. He always makes me smile when he's here.
