Hello moon_beam. Happy Caturday to you and your precious Noah. Hope you are both well and that Noah is still doing well on his diet.
Sorry you didn't know about the ER clinic and CreditCare in time, but glad you had the back up funds to see to your boy's care. That is obviously an ongoing concern for me these days
The UE check came today, but the banks were already closed when I got the mail. Would not matter anyway as the deposit would not have counted today. I guess I'll have to trek out Monday and do that. I'll need more Iams Senior soon anyway.
Today has been lazy and laid back. The temps were not too bad, but it always looked on the verge of rain. So, no balcony time for Theresa and Tang (who are both well) today.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,
Happy Caturday Evening to you, Princess Theresa, and Sgt. Tang. I'm glad to hear you're having a lazy and laid back day with your furbabies. It's about the same here with us, although I did clean the part of the carport where the animals eat. Smokey brought us a dead mole, a thank you gift I guess.

.....Same kitties have been coming by to eat. I had to go back to Kroger yesterday for more dry food. Hubby is pretty generous when giving it out and keeping it out there all day.....I made chili dogs yesterday so I cut up a weiner with chili sauce and put it out for the racoons. Yep, they ate it and it was pretty spicy.
The weather channel said we're in for some rough weather tomorrow, chance for a tornado. They said Louisville would get up to 73 degrees before the cold front comes through.
I hope you and furbabies have a peaceful and cozy evening. Give them a special pat for me......God Bless...TTFN.

Hi LoveMyMickey. Hope you folks had a good Caturday.
Sorry about the dead mole, but I really do think Smokey was trying to say "thank you" Actually, I kind of feel bad now for the mole. Glad to hear he and the others are still coming by to enjoy the kindness provided by you and hubby. I hope the chili dogs didn't give the raccoons indigestion
I woke up this morning about 15 minutes ahead of my alarm to Sgt Tang trying to dig his way to China in the litter box (again) At least Lady Theresa slept quietly through the nigh in the "daddy" chair. It's already raining here, which made getting laundry started fun
I hope today is kind to you, hubby and the kitties and that you all have a great evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy damp sometimes rainy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I hope your laundry time went well this morning - - no broken machines or coin slots to deal with.
I'm glad you received your UE check yesterday so that you can get it deposited tomorrow. I know getting this check will help to take some of the pressure from your mind - - if only a little bit.
Glad to know your precious little girl and boy are doing well, and maybe if the rain gets through your area quickly, and the temps are suitable, your precious companions will want to enjoy some balcony time - - knowing that daddy always has their best interests at heart.
What a difference a week makes - - and I'm so very glad to share with you my precious Noah is snuggled next to me as I'm writing to you. Life, for me, is at its sweetest with my precious little boy - - as I know it is for you with your precious Theresa and little Tang.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how each of you are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas. And please know you are continually in my thoughts and prayers that you will find another job very soon - - please let us know how this is going for you.

Hello moon_beam. Rainy, gloomy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is doing well on his diet, and look forward to hearing that his numbers are good later this week.
Laundry was OK in terms of machines, especially since I only had one load since I wore no "work" clothes this week (sigh) but the room was turning into Grand Central Station by the time I was getting my stuff from the dryer
The rain did let up for a while, but the deck stayed very wet and then it poured, so I could not let Theresa and Tang out. But I do have the sliding door open with the screen shut so they can get some fresh air. Both are well and spent the day cuddling with me.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers on finding work. This is a really rough time of year to secure full time regular work. Most places are hiring season only (in places I can't get to in many cases) and don't set their sights on filling anything "permanent" until after the holidays

But, I keep looking and hoping. I have gotten to a point where I just feel kind of numb about the whole situation

I'm not sure what stage of grief that is. I just know I don't want to reach "acceptance" in terms of unemployment.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Glad to know your laundry time went relatively smoothly yesterday, and that you were able to finish by the time the facilities were getting busy.
Just keep doing what you're doing, Tracy - - applying for the jobs that you know you qualify for and working with recruiters. You're doing everything you can to obtain another job. And please know we are here for you, my friend. Please let us know how things are going.
Not a great deal going on here today. Noah is continuing to do well, which is a blessing, and I know how blessed you feel with your precious Theresa's and little Tang's good health as well.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool Monday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Hoping you are both well. If memory serves, he's due for a check up tomorrow? Please let us know how it goes.
Today was kind of a bust in the job search as I woke up feeling horrible; stomach bug or something. I did good to get down to the bank and deposit my check and pick up a bag of Iams. By the time I got home. I still felt fairly yucky. Maybe it's stress. I'll start the never ending search again tomorrow (sigh)
Theresa and Tang are both well and provided comfort as I lay on the couch trying to feel better. At one point, Tang got off the arm of the sofa by my head and crawled onto my chest then settled at the end of the sofa by my feet. Just inches from where Theresa was laying on the other arm. I took it for an "AWWW" moment even though it's more likely he was being territorial
I hope today was kind to you an Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, chilly Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I hope you are feeling better today, my friend, and I'm very glad you were able to get your UE check deposited into your account yesterday. The effects of stress can cause a person to feel yucky, so I hope you will take it easy, my friend. All you can is your best in trying to find another job. I continue to lift you up in my thoughts and prayers that you will quickly find a job that will provide you both financial and employment stability. Please let us know how things go, my friend.
Noah is doing well, I am very happy to share with you. He is thriving on his low glucose canned food for which I am very thankful. It is such a relief for the both of us to know he doesn't need insulin injections. Have the lunch dishes to do and a trek to the mailbox to make after awhile. Am looking forward to a cozy evening with my precious little boy.

Hello moon_beam. Another sunny but chilly greeting to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is doing well on his diet and no longer needs the insulin. I know that's a relief to both of you.
Today I feel a tad better, but still feeling that general malaise that comes from not only being separated from a job so long, but getting back on the horse only to be violently kicked back off. The post shock, if you will. I'm having a hard time keeping any momentum for feeling like "what's the point?" I know, just keep doing what I'm doing, forging ahead. I do appreciate the thoughts and prayers though. I'm not sure they are being heard or answered right now.
I was awoken several times in the wee small hours out of REM sleep by both Theresa and Tang scraping the litter box to China. I say box not boxes because they seem to ignore the smaller one; I have no idea why. This got me out of bed on the wrong side the final time and I was a tad more brusque giving Tang his insulin shot than I intended. I worried most of the day on that, but he seems to be doing OK, as does Theresa. Going off on them for stupid things because I'm frustrated with my own inadequacies

I don't know how much more I can take.
Anyway, I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
I hope you are feeling even better today, Tracy, and that you know your precious companions love you. I cannot help but chuckle at your precious companions litter box digging. Sometimes my precious Noah gets very enthused with his litter digging as well. It's part of their "wild" nature.
Noah's toys have a tendency to disappear under things and there are several favorites I still haven't been able to find. So Tuesday I was able to find his favorite "pom pom" and rattle balls, and they are supposed to be delivered sometime today. I'm looking forward to his excitement when I take them out of the box for him.
Not much else happening here today. Hello moon_beam. Chilly greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I hope he enjoys his new toys.
You may notice I've taken the "days" out of my greetings here lately. That's because each day seems like that last

I applied online today for 3 or 4 jobs that looked like a good fit. From experience, I know I will probably have to eliminate about 2 of them for location. Of course, that would mean any of them actually calling me. Today (as most days) my phone only rang with 800 or other telemarketing numbers coming up on the CID and no messages.
Yeah, I know the litter digging is part of my babies "wild nature" but at 3 AM it's not so cute. I need to cool it on the huffiness though. They (well, Tang mostly) are spooked to the point that if they see me coming or going with the plastic bag, they run for the hills

Since Theresa and Tang are all I have, and as you mentioned, love me very much I need to make them feel more at ease. I guess that's much easier to do when one has a regular, paying daily routine.

I'm so glad you found some jobs to apply for yesterday, and hope you will hear something POSITIVE from them quickly. Just keep doing what you're doing, my friend. You're doing the best you can under very difficult circumstances. Please let us know how things are going.
Took care of errands this morning. My poor little boy was so afraid that he would be going with me that he hid from me, even though I reassured him that it was just me going out today. The good news is that he eagerly greeted me when I got home - - what a precious blessing!! Before I left to do errands we did enjoy a nice game of feline soccer with a couple of his new toys. Need to start getting some lunch on the stove warming, and will have a trek out to the mailbox later on.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and I'm glad to hear your little man is enjoying his new toys

I'm so chuckling at at Noah hiding because he thought you were taking him to the vet. Tang does that too just about every time I go to leave here, as he did today. About the only time he does not is when I'm working and leave in the early morning (sigh) Speaking of which, I ran errands today because it was supposed to start raining this afternoon and continue throughout all day tomorrow. So far, it has not started (knock wood) I still ended up forgetting a few items though, so I guess I'll have to go back out Saturday when it clears up some. I have to go the the library to pick up a held book anyway. I found a few more jobs to post on today, but am not hopeful about hearing back any time soon as it's only a week to Thanksgiving. My phone only rang once today from a random 800 number. I created a new folder in my email to drop the auto replies into to save for my UE job search records.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy Friday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits. It is always a blessing sharing your news and knowing that your precious companions are doing well.
I'm glad you are finding jobs to respond to, my friend. This is better than it was a couple of weeks ago when you weren't finding any jobs. The important thing is to just keep doing what you're doing, my friend. I know going through this procedure so soon, and as frequently, as you have does not lend much reassurance as to how soon you will receive another job offer. Just hang in here, Tracy - - what you are going through is a reflection of the sad state of affairs our country is in - - it has little to do with YOU.
Today was spent finally balancing the checkbook. It was a challenge this time around, but I finally managed to get the same figure three times in a row - - so now I can focus on doing the "bill-a-thon" for December tomorrow. I pay my health insurance premium online, and tried doing that a couple of days ago and kept on getting a message that the online bill pay was experiencing "technical difficulties" - - so we'll see how things go Monday. I may need to call the billing department to do a phone payment this month.
Noah is doing well. He kept me company while I took my shower this morning, and is now settled next to me as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. Hello moon_beam. Rainy, gloomy Friday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear your financials are coming along.
Yeah, there are a few jobs to post on out there. But of the hundreds of emails I get each week from the boards, it's hard to sift through. Today I posted for a help desk position through an agency, only to get a voice mail from them it's for Time Warner (sigh) I'm torn as to weather to even call them back, as I don't want to get into all the "whys" of my separation. Plus it's probably @ Commerce Crossings which is hard to get to (why I had to let the Yum! Brands job go) Besides, I'm sure that "manager" made sure my name is on some sort of no rehire list. What do you think?
Other than that, I had the usual collection of 800 number calls with no messages. Not much else going on. Theresa and Tang are well and providing what comfort they can. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang and Theresa. I hope all three of you are well and that you are enjoying the weekend. It is cool and windy here today, and the leaves are blowing around outside. The trees are getting really bare, but we had a nice colorful fall. Mindy has been keeping watch over the neighborhood from her window perch. She even sat there late last night and kept watch. This weekend will be nail trimming time, and I hope it will go smoothly. Mindy isn't a problem, but Shelley is skittish about having her nails trimmed. I hope you and your fur kids are staying warm.

Hi Tracy,
Happy Caturday to you, Princess Theresa, and Sgt. Tang....I hope your day is going well for all. Sounds like we're in for some colder weather, oh well, it's Nov. after all.
We were kind of worried about the animals yesterday. Yesterday morning all the food was still out there, it's usually all cleaned up by morning. Something must have scared them, wonder what?

..Anyway, the kitties were back last evening and all the food was gone this morning. So all is well in animal land.
Well, I had better get busy on some of my mother's paper work. About the time I get one thing straightened out, 2 or 3 other things pop up...................I hope you and fur babies have a relaxing and pleasant weekend......TTFN..

Hi, Tracy, windy still sunny Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
Tracy, I personally think it would be wise to follow up with ANY prospective employment response you get at this point. As to an explanation for why you left your previous position - - you can say something like "it was not a good match", or "the responsibilities assigned to me did not permit me to fully utilize and expand my technical skills," -- you do NOT have to go into any details beyond a simple response. Keep the focus on your skills and abilities and willingness to improve / upgrade your skills. So, this is my opinion - - for whatever this may be worth.
Today was "bill-a-thon" day, and things are still looking good. With all the hullaballoo over the Affordable Care Act and insurance companies canceling existing policies, I again reviewed the paperwork my carrier sent to me - - and from listening to the new reports - - my existing policy is one of the few that has received a one year "extension" - - but come this time next year I will be expected to find an alternative policy for 2015. I am among those who have comprehensive coverage with the exception of maternity and child care benefits - - neither of which I need at my age, and do not wish to have to pay the additional premiums for those benefits. Even some of the companies that have been providing private Medicare coverage are pulling out of those policies as well.
Noah is doing well. He has been keeping me faithful company all day long - - which is indeed a blessing. Still need to make a trek to the mailbox after awhile. Hope you were able to make your errands quickly today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang have been able to enjoy the majority of today together.
As always, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. Hello moon_beam and sunny but cold Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Glad to hear he is continuing to do well.
I hope you are able to get the insurance coverage that meets your needs going forward. I got a letter today from the state board of family/health to see if I qualify for Medicaid or other assistance. Probably from where I signed up for SNAP.
I think what I'm going to do about that recruiter that called from the agency about TWC, is make them aware that was my last position w/o too much detail. BUT have them check my rehire status before any of us wastes our time. I have to admit, there is a small part of me that would love to see the expression on a certain manager's face if I was to get rehired for internal help desk. I'm not holding my breath though. I also noticed the hotel by where I live had on their digital sign "hiring for front desk" the other day, but it's not there any more. I sent an inquiry via their web site, but have not received any response.

Smokey and Tabby have come up to me like that if the food had run out. One big white cat that just comes around like an inspector, came by this week and I think he scares the others away. He comes by checks out the food and leaves. The other white cat is okay.
About my mom, she has been in a nursing home for several years and can't communicate well. I'm her POA and I have taken care of all her business, sold her house, etc. All her assets are used up and she is now on Medicaid. I have to deal with them every year plus other things that come up.

Sounds like you have a plan developed to further investigate the TWC position, and I support your approach to have your re-hire status checked before too much effort and energy has been expended. Please let us know how things go, my friend.
I hope you will qualify for Medicaid, my friend - - it seems like you should at this point. I have been thinking about you with the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and what the new laws would mean for you. You have been without health insurance for quite awhile, my friend, and I'm hoping somehow the new law will help give something that will cover you should you find yourself needing medical services.

Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your kind words about my mom.
You might be right about the big white cat. Tabby and Smokey ate this morning. Tabby came from across the street where the morning sun was. Some of the neighbors have a garage, so they might find a way in one of them...Thank you for the funny video.

I hope our cats don't get that smart, although Tabby does have body language. Tabby went over to the water container, pointed at it with his nose, looked up at my husband as if to say, "fresh water, please" which he got.
Moon_beam is right about the health insurance. You probably have seen the ads for Ky. on TV. If you qualify, Medicaid will help with the premiums. You can go to Google and find some links.
Have a pleasant afternoon and night with your furbabies. I'm always thinking of Angel Sir Tom too. Stay warm.....Back to Kroger for me tomorrow.....TTFN...

Hello moon_beam. Cool and overcast greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Poor little man, afraid he's going to be shanghaied to the vet. I can understand his trepidation being that his condition had him there more times than over the whole past year.
The TWC job turned out to be a bit of a SNAFU. It was for Pomeroy, the client was not TWC and it was only a 2 day project. Doing the math on the earnings (that have to be reported to UE) showed I'd come up short on over all earnings for that week. She said she'd keep my resume for future reference though.
I did get an email from a recruiter at Brooksource about an IT/Agent Access Support role though. So I emailed her back for details. I wish they'd all contact me via email, I feel like it gives me more control over the process.
I got a brown bill from LG&E, but I got hold of the church organization on the first try today and have an appointment to try to get help there tomorrow at 11:30 (that was pretty fast, actually) I got together my brown bill, UE/SNAP approval letters to take with me. Crossing my fingers they can help like they did 3 years ago.
Theresa and Tang are well and napping comfortably. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cold, wet, rainy Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
I hope your appointment today went well and that the organization will help you with your electric bill. Please let us know how things went.
Also, I hope and pray the job opportunity for the IT/Agent Access Support role will lead a POSITIVE outcome for you. It sounds more in line with your skills, my friend. Please let us know how this goes. And I think you made the right decision in not pursuing the 2 day project with Pomeroy. You've had a difficult enough time getting your UE benefits - - you don't need to try something that will only give you 2 days of employment which would jeopardize your benefits. It's wiser to keep focused on getting something more permanent / long term.
Not much happening here today. Enjoying snuggling with my precious little boy. I guess I will need to brave the elements in a few minutes to go get the mail. Ugh.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together.

Hello moon_beam. Cold and rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both doing well.
Still no response to the email I replied to about the other job. It may be due to the upcoming holiday - who knows

My appointment at MUSCL was OK. I did have to wait in the lobby for over 30 minutes before the case worker got to me. Probably because today was the last day this week for appointments due to the holiday. Unfortunately, they were not able to match/pledge on the spot like they did last time. She gave a me a list of churches to call - 2 in my zip and several outside that have been known to pledge. I left my info with the 2 inside my zip, I hope they can help. The case worker seemed to think they should be.
Just as I was finishing the above paragraph, I got a call back from one of the churches and they have pledged 50.00 toward the brown bill. Only 76.03 to go. I still have yet to hear back from the other one. The one that pledged gave me numbers for 5 for churches to try. Also, before I left MUSCL, the case worker took me to the food pantry out back. I came away with 4 loaded bags of can/boxed foods, laundry detergents, shampoo, soap etc. I figure it all would have run about 50.00 in the store - that was nice of them
Not much else happening. Theresa and Tang are both well. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, snow flaky gusty windy Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
I'm so glad you were able to get some assistance and referrals from your meeting with MUSCL yesterday. Food banks are a blessing in this time of great economic stress for individuals and families, and I'm so very glad to know you received provisions yesterday that will help you. I'm glad to know that as of yesterday you have received a commitment for some of your electric bill, and hope other contacts will come forth to help you with the rest. Please let us know how things go.
I also hope you will receive a positive follow up to the IT/Agent Access Support position. The holidays can be very frustrating when trying to obtain employment. Please let us know how things go.
Occasionally there are snow flakes that float in the air but it is warmer here today than it was yesterday - - temps have crossed over into the 40's here today. My precious Noah is doing well - - for which I am very thankful.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Similar weather greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
Well, I got another 50.00 pledge from a different church just a little while ago. So, that just leaves 26.03 - so the case worker may well be right about it being doable. Nothing new on the job front, but that's to be expected this week I guess.
I have noticed the food I put out for they poor little homeless waifs disappearing faster, so I'm checking twice a day now. At only 1.99 for a 3.5 LB bag of generic it's doable. The other evening I was going out to put out a refill when I scared off the most beautiful semi long hair Siamese. I stood and watched to make sure she came back though. I thought, who would put out a pure breed like that? Then it hit me, probably a breeder that decided she was not so "pure" after all

I know what I do isn't much, but I figure it's better than them starving or picking through trash.
Theresa and Tang are both well and resting comfortably. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a wonderful evening and Thanksgiving. TTFN

I am so glad to share your news that you have received another pledge to help pay for your electric bill. This is very good news indeed. Hopefully you will receive assistance for the balance. Please let us know how things go.
It is nice being here with my precious Noah - - enjoying the day together - - no expectations from anyone. I hope and pray that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will be able to enjoy this day together - - peacefully and truly feeling the many blessings in your life together.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny but chilly Thanksgiving greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
Last night I got another call to pledge the final 26.03, and then another call after that. It is a relief for sure. It's been nice to spend the day relaxing with Theresa and Tang. Between what I already had, and what I got from the MUSCL food pantry, I threw together a modest meal for the holiday. Tang got himself a few nice chunks of turkey ham which he quite devoured
He has me a bit worried as he's been napping in the papasan type chair for hours. He usually follows me everywhere. I hope it's just the colder weather. He seems fine otherwise.
There is not much else going on here. I hope this holiday has been most kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,
I hope you and furbabies had a good Thanksgiving day, and I'm glad you got to fix a good meal. I hope Tang is okay, he's probably sleeping off that turkey ham

.......We had a quiet relaxing day here. I bought some already made turkey dinners and lemon meringue pie. Just the two of us don't need a lot to eat.
The animals have been eating well, been putting out extra for them. Also more birds are coming around, especially doves and some small ones. They like the birdseeds and bread. The cardinals are so pretty and we have a woodpecker that comes by every few months......Tracy, that is kind of you to keep feeding the poor little strays. That sounded like a very pretty cat you saw, maybe he belonged to somebody, I hope.
I hope you have a peaceful and cozy evening with your furkids...God Bless you all......TTFN...

Hi LoveMyMickey. Hope you folks had a good Thanksgiving.
I'm glad to hear the kitties and other wildlife are eating well due to the kindness of you and your husband.
Sgt. Tang is doing better. I have cleaned his ear, gave him his insulin and canned food. I switched to salmon to change things up, and Miss Theresa turns her nose up at it (sigh)
I have not seen the Siamese lately, so I hope you're right. The food is still disappearing just as fast though. Not much else going on here. I hope you folks also have a peaceful cozy evening as well. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Friday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
I'm so glad to know that your precious little boy is doing better as you shared with LoveMyMickey. I know this takes a HUGE concern off your mind. And I'm soooo very glad to share your good news that your electric bill now seems to be paid, which takes another major concern off your mind. I hope come Monday you will receive a positive response to the IT/Agent Access Support position - - as well as to other positions you are applying for. Please let us know how things go, my friend.
I received my electric bill yesterday and so far I am running a modest credit balance. Since the electric company significantly raised my monthly payment they have only been billing me less than $100 a month. But I am continuing to pay the full monthly budget amount to hopefully help decrease the February "annual reconciliation" payment. I have begun setting some funds aside in the checkbook toward this payment and hope it will be adequate. The February payment is only 3 months away.
Noah is doing well, for which I am always thankful. Not a great deal going on around here.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and a tiny bit warmer greetings to you and you and your precious Noah. I'm so glad to hear he is continuing to do well.
I keep forgetting you are on what we used to call the budget plan on your electric. I do hope it helps you out come February. My UE check came today; I could have gotten to the bank but I'm not entirely sure they were open today anyway. I'll get it Monday as I'm holding off food shopping until then as my next round of SNAP is due to kick in on the first. Since I plan to pay my rent on time (for the first time in over a year and the last time at the old rate) money will be tight until I claim the next UE on 12/08. I hope they have the payment glitch fixed by then. But then again I hope to be working too. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes on that. I did get a call from Tek Systems on the several jobs I posted to on Wednesday, but he seemed to just want general info for the system. Of course, he may simply have no interest either (sigh) I was not expecting any calls the day before the holiday after all.
Not much else going on. Theresa and Tang are both well. He took a pretty long nap today too, but seems OK. I'm thinking this is the first time since I had him it's been truly cold, so it may be normal for him. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang and Theresa. I hope the three of you are enjoying a relaxing weekend and are staying warm. I put up the Christmas tree yesterday, but I didn't feel very happy about it. And of course Mindy started chewing on the tree again. It's a fake, but still...
Shelley just laid quietly under the tree. She has better manners in some things than Mindy. My poor Mindy is a bit better, but still somewhat "itchy". I keep putting the ointment on her big rash above her eye and hope it helps it heal.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes sunny chilly Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
I'm glad you have received your UE check and am very glad to share your news that you will be able to pay your rent this month before any overdue penalities are applied. This in itself is a very welcome positive, my friend, and I am so very happy for you. And I hope and pray with all my heart that your follow up conversations with Tek Systems will provide you a good job very shortly. Please let us know how things go, my friend.
Today I finally bit the bullet and went through all the copies of receipts for upcoming taxes and organized them so that now all I need are receipts for December, my bank statement for my little savings account to report the meager interest earned - - which may be as high as $12 total for 2013, and my year end mortgage statement reporting interest paid - - which is significantly more than the interest earned on my little savings account. Also did the security updates and scans on the desk top. Still need to file some receipts for payments made - - but that will be another time.
I'm keeping your precious little boy Tang in my thoughts and prayers that he is doing okay with all of his health challenges. Please let us know how he's doing. My precious Noah is doing well - - he is enjoying laying in front of the space heaters.
Lunch is on the stove warming and sometime later on there will be a trek to the mailbox to make. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will be able to have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and warmer Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is continuing to do well.
Sorry to hear your mortgage interest outpaced your savings; an all too familiar situation for many folks these days. Looking at the state of our economy, then seeing people line up to beat each other up Thanksgiving night for garbage they don't need makes me weep for the state of the human soul. But then I come here and see the better part of humanity.
Thanks for the well wishes on the job search. I was thinking that I have never been unemployed this time of year the whole 24 years I have lived here. It makes me very sad. Plus when I'm unemployed for an extended period of time, it starts to take a terrible toll on my whole psyche. Paying my rent on time is starting to look harder and harder, but I REALLY need to get that old rate even if it's just one time. I do hope they fix the glitch on my UE payment for direct deposit this next time around. Bad enough that next Sunday will be Tom's 3 year angelversary

I don't need that on top of it.

Hi Tracy,
Happy Caturday Evening to you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa. I know you can't be happy thinking about sweet angel Sir Tom's angelversary next Sunday.....My Mickey's will be in Feb....The 3 years have really gone by fast since we have been on the board.....
I saw the two orange Tabbys before dark this evening. One was giving the other the evil eye and they left. Smokey is pretty smart. When I got up this morning he was sitting under the bird feeder tree waiting for a bird, but none was out there. I opened the back door and yelled "Go, go, go!"......He left and went around to the carport and was looking up at the door window. He doesn't get mad even when husband accidently steps on his tail. He just hisssssses and goes on eating.
I did a small amount of online shopping, mostly surfing today. This thought came to me, when a person is younger, they buy things to make themselves happy and when they get older they buy things that make them more comfortable or things they really need. Of course not everybody thinks like that.
I hope you and furbabies have a pleasant and cozy evening and stay warm.......My thoughts and prayers are with you...God Bless...TTFN.

Hello LoveMyMickey. I hope you folks had a nice Caturday.
Yeah the time does fly by fast. Where did the last 3 years go? In a way, I'm glad Sir Thomas isn't here to see what a royal failure his dad has become.
Glad to hear the kitties are still coming around for your kind hospitality. I do hope Smokey does not actually catch one of those birds

You and your husband provide more than enough sustenance. But, the wild instincts are hard to overcome.
I know what you mean about the shopping. If I could afford to do so, I'd very much be in the older person's category. These so called Millennials make me sick in their shopping habits. But, given their parents are my generation (give or take) it's not surprising given what I know about my so called peers.
Theresa and Tang are well, thanks. I hope today is kind to you and hubby and that you both have a great evening and that Angel Mickey is always watching over you. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, chilly Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. As always I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits. By now you have your laundry done and are hopefully enjoying the day with your precious companions.
There are several things that can make the holidays depressing, and being unemployed in one of them. Sadly, in our society the holidays have come to represent an individual's "prosperity" reflected in how much "stuff" we already have and how much more we can buy instead of our society collectively, and as individuals, taking the time to reflect on our blessings and trying to find ways to improve the daily lives for each other. The opportunity for employment is now bonded to what our elected officials do, and don't do, and the stability - - or instability -- of the stock market. It is also dependent on an employer's "profiling" of prospective employees to determine if the applicant will be a suitable "match" for the "social environment" of the company / department. It is no longer a matter of being able to do the job and do it well - - an applicant must have the suitable "personality" to "fit in."
YOU, my friend, are NOT a failure - - but rather it is our society that is failing you, and many others who are unemployed and homeless and no longer "eligible" for public assistance. I hope and pray with all my heart, Tracy, that you WILL have another job soon, and please let us know how things go.
Not much happening here at the homestead today. The TV programs are now Christmas oriented which makes me very thankful for my subscription to HuluPlus. Amazon has changed its programming - - the programs I would like to watch via Amazon are only available as rentals or purchases now instead of being included with a Prime subscription - - but the Prime subscription is still coming in handy with online purchasing. The most important news of all is that my precious Noah is doing well.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and somewhat warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is still doing well.
Thanks for the encouraging words. You are right about how the process of hiring (and keeping said jobs) works these days. I realize now it's these previously mentioned Millennials that are making these decisions these days. For example, when my "boss" at AIG was being born, I was 24 and a fairly well paid professional in the telecommunications industry. In fact, had I stayed in Dallas, I would be a defacto TWC employee of many years. Could of, should of, would of (sigh) But if I'd done that I never would have been able to intervene in the lives of some pretty special fur kids. I'm having a hard time seeing that as an accomplishment just now though
Speaking of whom, Theresa and Tang are well today and even got to spend some time on the balcony when the temp hit 55. I hear you on the TV shows. It's the radio too, unfortunately. Two of the stations I listen to are playing nothing but Christmas music. It's like we are losing sight of why we celebrate this time of year in the first place.
Tomorrow starts a depressing new week of looking for work. I hope success is in the cards soon. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers on that too. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, what was supposed to be sunny, chilly Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.
Hopefully now that the Thanksgiving weekend is past, and companies are back at work for the next 3 weeks, at some point in time you will receive a call or e-mail confirming you as an employee. This would be a WONDERFUL gift to you - - and I hope and pray with all my heart this will happen for you. Please let us know how things go, my friend.
Noah is doing well, and am so glad your precious Theresa and little Tang were able to enjoy some balcony time yesterday to get some fresh air in their lungs. And I assume your "amazing Tang" behaved himself - - no aerial feats of "daring do" performed. Looking back over his high wire acts of younger days I chuckle about them now after all this time, - - and can still feel myself holding my breath as you shared with us YOUR rescues of him from the opposite balcony. I'm sure you continue to closely supervise your precious little boy while he enjoys balcony time now "just in case" he may get the glint in his eye to attempt another high wire act.

Hello moon_beam. Another sunny and fairly warm (for the season) greeting to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is doing well.
Being another fair day, I allowed for balcony time when I got home from exhausting all 39.00 of my monthly SNAP (how do they expect one to get by on that?) Tang refrained from his acrobatics, but I kept a concerned eye on him hanging his head over the ledge like a vulture. Theresa also joined in but didn't stay out long as she likes it not only warm but hot which is strange since she looks like a denizen of the arctic
I emailed Brooksource again and the only response I got was that she's waiting for her manager to get back to her; she also said it may be that the client no longer needs people (sigh) I've never had the best of luck with that particular agency. I have a feeling this is going to be a black Christmas, but I push on; not like I have a choice
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I am so chuckling at your observation of your little Tang on the balcony "hanging his head over the ledge like a vulture." I can picture that in my mind's eye, and hear the wheels of his thoughts "hmm - - I wonder - - how many times would I need to somersault in the air before I land on my feet?" Your precious little Tang in many ways reminds me of my very adventurous beloved Eli.
I need to call my nifty jiffy contractor to arrange for a time for him to come look at my garage door. The weather stripping on the bottom of the door is warped in one section which is not allowing the door to close with the opener without some manipulating of the weather stripping.
We are enjoying a bit of early spring temps today in the upper 50's, but this respite from the chillier temps will not last long. Come Sunday we may be having another "frozen whatever" event with temps returning to the 30's for highs. I am already looking forward to spring which is only 3.5 months away.
Noah is continuing to do well, for which I am very thankful. I can endure through just about anything as long as I know he is okay.
My friend, I am so hoping and praying that you will receive word back from Brooksource that the IT/Agent Access Support position is still available and that you are the top candidate for it. Applying for a job nowadays is like a covert operation - - the candidate is denied access to the "need to know" information of what is happening behind the scene - - information and action that directly affects the applicant's life. Hang in here, my friend - - just keep doing the best you can, and I continue to hope and pray that very soon you will be notified with the "need to know" information that you have a good job. Please let us know how things are going.
As always, my friend, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang.
