This morning I only saw Tux Jr and Siamese at the first spot. Since the big orange and white one was not around, Tux didn't follow me down to the other spots and I didn't see any other waifs down there.

After that it was a sleep in day. Today we had a mini road trip to Mt. Washington to try the "cheap" Chinese buffet. It was OK, but the staff was rather rude We were hoping to hit the farmer's market while there but we were too late. So we found a little street fair with live music and crafts and various animal rescue groups at a local high school.

We are back here via Anne's apartment to resupply. Tang was rather impatiently waiting on us st the door. He's had his supper and is settling in as we will be soon for the evening.

Thank you for your continued thoughts and encouragement with my current health challenges. I called the rheumatologist's office on Friday afternoon per my weekly query into any possible cancellations that were earlier than August. I was told the staff are now keeping a cancellation list and will call me if an appointment earlier than August becomes available. I don't know if this is true, but I think the staff is trying to stop the query calls. But life here continues despite the pain levels. Had a couple of chores to do after my morning routines. My precious Noah greeted me for the day around 11 a.m., and we are now enjoying some "down time" together as I'm writing to you. Not much else on the agenda for today.

This morning while provisioning I saw one of the orange tabbies at the first spot. He/she didn't run away though; just waited until I moved on to eat. Coming down to the second spot I saw Little Gray and Bobtail. As I was putting the food down at the third spot Tux Sr darted from out of the pool area. I hope all the others are OK.


Today after lunch and doing her laundry at her apartment we went to a little fair by the water tower at the river front to benefit various local animal rescue groups. There were a lot of dogs there, but no cats. After that we cooled off a little walking through the mall.

Got back from the doctor's office around 12 Noon, and my brother and I enjoyed a sandwich from Subway with good conversation. This morning's provisioning brought the return of Tux Jr (friendly as ever) and many of the other waifs as well. I keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

We seem to have hit on a cheap and fairly healthy way to eat lunch. Get the Subway foot long of the day and split it. Today it was roasted chicken and it was pretty good. We went to a museum downtown that was free but it didn't really have much that was very interesting since they were renovating an entire floor. But, oh well. We checked out a Half Price Books location I had never been to before after that.

We are back here now after a side trip to her apartment for resupply. Tang met us at the door as usual ans has had his supper and shot. He's settling in as we will be soon for the evening.

This morning's feeding brought out only Little Gray. But she was friendly as usual. I'm keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers.

Today we thought if we got to Gattiland (pizza/salad buffet with games) right at 11:00 we'd beat all the kids. We were wrong as a summer school/camp was there. Also Wednesday is senior's discount day. But we managed to salvage a fairly good time out of it. We are both getting pretty good at skeeball. We then picked up more waif food at Walmart and came back here to relax by the pool.

We swung by Anne's apartment so she could resupply and are back here now. Tang met us at the door and has had his supper and shot. He is currently curled up in my spot on the couch next to "mommy"

My volunteer will be here in a half hour or so to help me with some things, so will need to get my precious Noah his lunch a bit earlier today.

Since it was raining this morning, I didn't expect to see any waifs. But I saw one of the orange tabbies cautiously approach the first spot as I was leaving and Tux Sr as I was leaving the third.

Anne and I found a nice free museum over the bridge in New Albany Indiana. They had some cool history of pop art and a really nice and somewhat interactive display on the underground railroad with authentic documents and artifacts.

We then picked a few things from Walmart before heading back to her apartment to resupply. We are back here now where Tang met us at the door. He's had his supper and shot and it settling in as we will be soon.

Received the results of my blood test on Monday this morning. My regular MD is referring me to a hematologist since I am not responding to the iron supplements. I'm supposed to keep taking them, though. My brother and his wife are out of town beginning today lasting through the end of the month celebrating their wedding anniversary, so it won't be until July at the earliest that I will have an appointment with the hematologist. So I'll keep you posted on how things go. My precious Noah is doing well despite my infirmities. He is eagerly anticipating lunch in his bowl.

This morning's waif turnout was better. Tux Jr came out right away at the first spot but followed me to allow one of the orange tabbies and the big orange and white boy to eat. Tux Jr settled in at the second spot and I saw Bobtail, Tux Sr and White Cat up around the third spot. I had to stand guard over them as I was waiting on my clothes in the dryer because some guy was skulking around; he finally went into the gym though.

Today we went to a place called Henry's Ark in Prospect KY just outside the city. They are basically a private zoo/preserve. The admission is free but they do take donations. The animals seemed well cared for and peaceful. I have to admit I have never seen a duck with a red head They even had what I guess are their version of barn cats.

We are back here via Anne's apartment to resupply. Tang met us at the door and has had his supper and shot; the latter I taught Anne how to do tonight. She was nervous at first but picked it up pretty well.

Today we went to a park in the east end that was supposed to be a train show with an actual train ride. The train ride was a kiddie ride and they had a barely passable model train setup. The rest was shameless vendors and cheesy carnival games and rides So we just cooled off afterward with nice cold drinks and a mall walk.

We are back here now via Anne's apartment to resupply. Tang met us at the door and has had his supper and shot. We are getting ready to settle in with leftover pizza, salad and a DCU animated feature on Netflix.

This morning I saw most of the usual gang of waifs. I'm keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. We then went over to Anne's apartment to do her laundry while she visited her parents. Her mother is under the weather and may still be contagious; Anne's had it and is immune.

We then went to get a nice Mexican lunch and visited an antique mall we haven't been to while we were in that part of town. We then picked up a few things at Kroger so I can make my tuna/egg salad for dinner and some lunches before swinging by her apartment to resupply.

We are back here now where Tang met us at the door. He's had his supper (and some water from the tuna which he loved) and his shot. We are all getting ready to settle in for the evening.

Most of the usual waifs were out and about for this morning's feedings. I tried to greet each of them as I much as I could. Thanks for thinking about them.

Today we slept in (as it were - after I fed the waifs) and spent some time poolside when they opened at 11:00 this morning. Getting there early generally ensures we have some peace and quiet as well as the "nicer" lifeguard.

After that we had some lunch and visited a Peddlers Mall we somehow managed to miss in our travels. After that we went by Anne's apartment to resupply and are finally back here. Tang greeted us at the door as usual and has had his supper and shot. He was cuddled up on the sofa next to Anne last I looked.

Today Anne and I visited a vintage toy/games/comics shop by me and a comics shop we never have been to in the other part of town I found online. We both also applied to jobs at the same company; it would be nice if we got on at the same place at the same time.

This morning there were 2 newbies among the waifs. A black cat and a smaller orange and white one (not the bigger one) They wouldn't come up to me but didn't run either. They approached the food at the first spot as soon as I walked away. Bobtail, White Cat and Tux Sr were at the second and third spots too.

Today we got to the pool early and enjoyed a nice swim and some quiet time as there were only a few people there. Bobtail was stalking something in the bushes too

We then had some lunch and ran a few errands. We are back here now via Anne's apartment and Tang met us at the door. He's had his supper and shot and is cuddled up with Anne on the couch.

Today I saw Siamese at the first spot, Little Gray and White Cat at the second and Bobtail and Tux Sr at the third by the pool.

Anne and I bought discount passes for Kentucky Kingdom at Kroger yesterday that we used today. It was not a pleasant experience. On 2 of the roller coasters the seat belts were too short for anybody that isn't a twig. They singled me out about not having the seat belt on on the latter ride even though several others did the same and had nothing said to them. The rude attendant then proceeded to press the bar down so tight it made her cry out in pain I'm pretty sure it was deliberate in the action itself and the fact he smirked as we exited the ride before it started. We did enjoy some other attractions such as Hurricane Bay water park. I sent a strongly worded email to them about their horrible and obvious size shaming.

Waif turn out was really good this morning. Siamese, Tux Jr and that new orange and white cat at the first spot. Tux Jr followed me to the second spot and Siamese patiently waited for the orange and white cat to finish eating Down at the second spot I saw White Cat with Bobtail, Tux Sr and Little Gray rounding things out at the third.

I have received no reply from Kentucky Kingdom and to indication that it was even read. Big surprise. Thanks for the kind words in that regard though.

Today we went to the 2.00 Tuesday movies at the Village 8. Alien Covenant which was OK I guess. We had a nice lunch before that though.

Waif turnout was a bit thinner today. Just White Cat and the Tux boys. I'm hoping all the others are doing OK.

We slept in a bit (after the waifs were fed and Tang tended to) and hit the pool right as they opened at 11:00. We swam a few laps, read and got some sunshine for about an hour and a half.

We then got some lunch at the Ruby Tuesday salad bar and the service was terrible. We asked for more lemonade and got the check instead; then when we went for another round at the salad bar our drinks and silverware had been removed Service in this country is really going to heck in a hand basket.

We are back here now via Anne's apartment to resupply. Tang met us at the door as usual and has had his supper and shot. He is currently getting pets from Anne on the sofa

I did get a response on FB, but it was totally generic corporate pablum. I fired one back but I really don't expect a response. We won't be going back again except for the state fair, but that's outside the park. We also found a water park in southern Indiana that's only 8.00 to get in we want to try soon.

Today we actually found a Peddlers Mall in southern Indiana we hadn't been to. It was an old super K-Mart so it was really big.

Today we went to a place called Locust Grove which apparently was the home of George Rogers Clark at one time. It was free today due to the holiday. There were some re-enactments with muskets and "actors" dressed in period costumes giving tours of the house and grounds. It was very interesting. This morning's waif feeding brought out Siamese, that orange and white cat, White Cat and Bobtail. The latter approaching me from the front of the property. Apparently someone put one of those white plastic flea collars on him. While I appreciate the sentiment, he was probably just as liable to end up choking on it so I removed and tossed it. He seemed fairly grateful for that.

Anne and I saw him again sitting by the pool waiting for the lifeguard to show up as it wasn't raining then and I told him Anne was cool so he rolled over and let her pet him The lifeguard never did show up though So we went to Walmart and bought some things to make sandwiches and such at her place and watched Mystery Science Theater 3000 reruns on her Roku box; probably will do that again tomorrow to save money since we have done just about everything that's free around town.

We are back here now where Tang met us at the door as usual. He's had his supper and shot and is holed up in the bedroom as Anne runs the "big red Tang eater" i.e the vacuum.

The waifs do a lot of wandering around their territory. Wearing a collar endangers them with the collar potentially getting snagged on something and them ending up choking or hanging. So you did the right thing in removing it. And I'm smiling Bobtail got a tummy rub from Anne.

I'm also smiling at you and Anne watching the Mystery Science Theater 3000 reruns. One of the local retro channels shows that program on Saturdays. I like the retro channels the best and also enjoy my programs that I can view on my Roku box.

Without me knowing it the substitute volunteer was here around 11 a.m. to take the trash can out to the street. Since I didn't know he had already been here I called him to ask him when he was planning on being here. When he told me had had already been I asked him what he did with my mail. He confessed it was still in the mailbox, so he had to come back to get me my mail. I will call or email the volunteer coordinator to ask her to please make sure this volunteer knows that he needs to call me to let me know when he will be coming and to remind him of what he needs to do for me. He has a kind heart, and I know that beggars cannot be choosers when it comes to getting help. Otherwise life here is status quo. My precious Noah was up around 10:30 this morning to keep me company as I did the routine chores. He is now settled comfortably next to me as I'm writing to you.

Hello moon_beam. Rainy day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm sorry to hear about the mix up with your volunteer, but glad he came back to bring you your mail.

This morning I thought I saw Siamese over my shoulder as I put the food down at the first spot and was walking away. As I got to the third spot I saw Tux Sr, Bobtail and White Cat sheltered under the overhead of the gym. The boys ate right away as I put it down

Anne and I did more of the same for lunch and MST3K today on the Roku box. I'm so happy to have found a kindred spirit in my nerd girl She had a spare Roku that we brought over to my place a while back but it doesn't have the You-Tube application.

We are back here now where Tang met us at the door. He's had his supper and shot and is keeping my spot on the sofa warm next to Anne.
