Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy, sometimes stormy, Friday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm hoping you have received confirmation from MUSCL that your May rent is covered. Please let us know how things are going.
My friend, this time next week you will be celebrating "T G I F" on your new job, even though you will be working Sundays. I hope you are beginning to find some excitement about your new job, and hope and pray it will be a job of GREAT OPPORTUNITY for you. I look forward to sharing how things go for you, my friend.
I am sooo chuckling at your precious Theresa "picking on" her brother. My mom's kitty companion, Holly, pestered the dickens out of our canine companion, Samson, when he was a puppy and "newcomer" to the household. OH how she would tease him and goad him into chasing her - - trying to make it look like Samson was "picking on" her. One evening she got Samson to chase her all through the house, and as they were coming back into the living room Holly stopped short at mom's chair and Samson came barreling into the room. It was just like a cartoon - - Samson tried to put the "brakes" on before he reached her but landed on top of her. But instead of her hissing and spitting and clawing at his eyes, she just laid there under him until he got his feet back under him and stood up. Instead of taking off like a lightning bolt, Holly just laid there under his tummy for a few minutes. From that point forward, Holly "accepted" Samson into the family unit.
And so it sounds like your precious Theresa and little Tang are enjoying each other as well - - just as long as the "chase" play does not turn into a "battle" requiring daddy's skillful intervention - - as I know from experience from some play that got a little out of hand sometimes between my beloved number one kitty son Eli and my precious Noah.
Got a later start to the day this morning - - Noah and I just needed to "sleep in" this morning after all the activity with the roof stuff. It feels sooo good to be able to do this for my old body - - instead of having to force myself out of bed before sunrise to cart myself off to a job. I just don't have the stamina for that regimen anymore. However, to "redeem" the later start to the day I did get a load of laundry into the washer and will be putting it into the dryer in the next few minutes.
We are finally getting some of the forecasted rain over the homestead today. A few minutes ago we had a bit of a thunder boomer overhead but nothing out of the ordinary for a typical spring storm. It has been quite dry here this spring as opposed to last spring when it seemed like the rain would never stop long enough to get any outside chores done. We have been under a "red flag" warning for wild fires, and several such fires have needed attention by the forestry and area firefighters. Once in awhile one of the more ignorant residents here will set off fireworks in the evening - - which could easily spark a fire with the surrounding wooded area and spread literally like "wild fire" endangering the other homes - - including mine which just happens to border the property of the ignorant resident. There is at least ONE such resident no matter where you go, so I can soo understand your feelings about the residents you have to contend with, my friend.
Noah has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready. Perhaps tomorrow I can get in some yard work time in the front yard doing some clean up work there.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.
Peace and blessings,

Hello moon_beam. Sunny (finally) and breezy greetings. to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Thank you for sharing the story of Holly and Samson

It definitely sounds familiar. I think Theresa wants me to think Tang is picking on her. But I've seen her "start it" too many times as she did with Tom. I hear you on the idiots with fireworks

Luckily that hasn't happened for a while around here (knock wood) I hope the heavy rain holds off until your roof repairs.
I wanted to sleep in too, and was just going to give Tang his insulin and go back to bed, but then he and Theresa were fussing for fresh food and water, so I just said to heck with it and got to work with all that and cleaning the litter boxes. I swear they wait for that before doing their morning business. They are both doing well though. No balcony time then because of the rain, but I allowed for it after. It was cool and the fresh rain breeze smelled good. I even read a few chapters of my book out there.
I just got off the phone with MUSCL (right after she left a VM on my cell) That one church can only commit to one pledge, but the good news is the grant is approved and will cover what ever the difference ends up being (WHEW) She is contacting the apartment manager for the W9 and will be sending out the check next week. She wanted me to know that so my weekend would not be filled with the stress of not knowing, and congratulated me on the new job. I will have to send her a nice card.
I hope today is treating you and Noah well and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I am SOOO HAPPY that your May rent is paid with the help of your contact at MUSCL. This is WONDERFUL NEWS. Now you can begin your new job without terror in your heart.
It has been a busy morning. Today is the annual "drug collection" through the Sheriff's office and Drug Enforcement Administration where people can surrender their unused or outdated prescription meds for DEA disposal. I have collected several prescription meds through the years that I ended up not being able to take due to adverse reactions, so I was finally able to get them taken care of. Since I was making an errand run in the right direction I took some things to Goodwill as well. Noah is doing well. The Blue Jays got Noah up early this morning, so I got up and watched the birds with him. I little wren came right up to the big double door and Noah was very excited.
Not much else going on around the homestead. As always, my friend, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and warm Happy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Drug take back day, huh? That explains what was going on in front of the CVS in my area while I was out running an errand. This one woman had a whole trunk full and the guys were trying to explain they could not accept anything OTC
Theresa and Tang are doing well, and enjoyed some balcony time this morning while it was still fairly cool. No shenanigans this time

One of my other fans gave out the other day (sigh) the older one I had before I found the one in the spare room. Going back to work could not come at a better time as we head into warmer weather.
One of the bonuses of working at the paper is that it's just a block over form the main branch of the library. So not only can I do pick up/drop off of books during lunch or after work instead of a special trip to the one I've been going to, they also sell public transit tickets and passes. So, I'll save a 1.50 off shipping from getting them online. Not much I know, but it's a savings never the less.
Speaking of which I am really looking forward to going back to work. Still not feeling the "cartwheels" but after 4 years of battling uphill, perhaps it's to be expected. I won't have to work Sundays right away. There will be 6 weeks of training M-F 9-5:30 before that. And even so, Sunday is a half day. So it will be like a 4.5 day work week rather than 5 (still getting in 40 hours) Besides, I get up early on Sunday anyway to do laundry so I'll have Thursday and Caturday free of that chore.
Not much else going on here. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
There is a pharmacy in town that undertook the community service of being a year-round drop off location for drugs that needed to be discarded. When I called them earlier in the year to check with them about what they accepted they were very specific in stating they do not accept "controlled substances" - - such as meds combined with a narcotic. Yesterday the Sheriff's were telling people they could take their drugs to this pharmacy at any time during the year - - they didn't have to wait for the "drug take back" day. I told the Sheriff's what the pharmacy told me, and they were totally surprised and said they would check into it - - since the program was coordinated with the Sheriff's department, the DEA, and the pharmacy. I think perhaps there has been a "liability" issue arise for the pharmacy. The good news for me, however, is that fortunately the only meds I need to normally rely on are OTC's for the occasional pain relief and allergies.
I am so glad to share your news that the location of your job at the newspaper is also convenient for other things. Hey, saving a 1.50 is still a savings - - and it will mount up over time. That's a 1.50 you can put in a coin jar to use for your laundry, or to put toward the purchase of a fan, or food for your precious companions and you - - every penny counts toward something, my friend, and I'm so glad you are being able to look forward to a SAVINGS instead of needing that 1.50 and not having it.
The M - F routine during your training weeks will allow you to get back to the routine of working again until your schedule begins in June. I am so very happy for you that you have this blessing of a permanent full time job, my friend. You have struggled through many hard times to get to this point, and I am thankful to have this prayer answered for you.
Noah is enjoying the sunbeams today, as am I, as they will be the last sunbeams for several days beginning tomorrow - - according to the forecast. Rain is supposed to settle into the area until the latter part of the week. We do need the rain as it is very dry here.

Hello moon_beam. Warm and sunny greetings and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and glad he is enjoying the sunbeams. It's good you were able to dispose of your old meds in and environmentally friendly manner.
Theresa and Tang are doing OK and also enjoying some sunbeams on the balcony before it gets too warm. Laundry went fine with no issues. It struck me this is the last time I will be doing only one load for hopefully a very long time.
The tummy isn't doing so well today, probably something I ate (sigh) I just hope it's cleared up before tomorrow. That would be bad for my first day on the job. Yeah 1.50 is still a savings. But more than that, there is the security of not having to worry about the tickets or passes being lost in the mail.
Not much going on here, just watching the kids explore outside. I hope today is treating you and Noah kindly, and that you both have a pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, so glad to know you and your precious companions are enjoying a pretty day in your neighborhood, and glad your laundry time went smoothly.
I'm so sorry about you having a GI upset today. Stress can be as much a culprit as something not settling well from food. You have been under an extreme amount of stress, and now that you have a job to look forward to your body could be reacting to the stress levels - - and there is never a "good time" for this to happen - - including the day before you begin a new job. Hopefully your body can work through this TODAY so that tomorrow you will be feeling better. You are in my thoughts and prayers that you will begin to feel better this evening, and be able to get some good rest tonight so that tomorrow you will be feeling MUCH BETTER.
Noah has had his lunch and mine is on the stove warming. I'm watching a movie one of the CW subsidiary channels with Sean Connery called "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." It's a cross between "The Avengers" movie he made and the many challenges experienced by Indiana Jones.
Once again, my friend, I hope you will begin to feel better so that you and your precious companions can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening, and so that you will be able to begin your first day on your new job feeling strong and focused. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hi Tracy, Good Sunday Evening to you, Theresa, and Tang.
Just stopping by to let you know I am thinking of you as you start your job training. I know you will do well. As moon_beam said stress can cause GI problems. Believe me I know. Relax and feel better.
We are feeding 7 or 8 kitties now. The two-toned long hair one, I named Caramel. The tan color running through his fur looks like carmel mixed with chocolate. When we got those big bags of cat food I ordered from Amazon, hubby acted like a kid at Christmas. He knows now I won't be nagging him to make the food last til grocery day with those small bags.
Tracy, you are in my thoughts and prayers for everything to go well with your job. I am sending lots of positive energy your way. I know Angel Sir Tom is looking out for you too. Have a pleasant evening and pet the furbabies for me...God Bless..

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I hope you are feeling ever so much better today as you begin your new job. I hope all is going well with you this first day of your training, and I look forward to sharing your news after you get home this evening and after you take care of your precious companions - - who I know are eagerly anticipating your arrival to be the first ones with whom you share how your day went.
Have the security updates and scan going on the big desk top as I'm writing to you, and Noah is settled next to me keeping me faithful company. Will be pulling together a grocery list for the errand run this week. Just got a call from the roof contractor. With the rain forecasted this week I am on the schedule for the work to begin on Saturday, 5/3. If the work cannot be completed on Saturday, the crew will be back on Monday, 5/5, to finish the job. Supplies will be delivered here to the house on Friday, 5/2. The foreman told me that they may be able to start as early as Friday if the forecast improves sooner, or may have to wait to start until Monday, 5/5, if the rain lingers. But at least I know I'm on the schedule for the work to begin soon.
Otherwise it's a peaceful Monday here, and once again, my friend, I hope this first day on your new job is going well - - and that this will be a job that you will be able to find security with - - and growth opportunities with your skills, talents, and salary.
I hope your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Dreary rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear your roof repair project seems to be on track, and I hope it gets done in a timely satisfactory manner.
The morning started out shaky with it raining steady (and heavy at times) trying to avoid all the cars and trucks flying down the road thinking it's fun to splash people while waiting for my bus
The first day of work itself went well enough. The morning was spent doing HR orientation items, and the afternoon we took a tour of the building and then got to know our trainer. It's a class of 18 people in pretty small room, and I have to tell you an"interesting" bunch it is. Let's just say I now wonder why I was even worried that I'd not get the job. It's 3 weeks classroom and 3 weeks taking calls in a training environment. I can't say much about the health insurance (1500.00 deductible before they even start to pay anything) I may shop around to see if KYCONNECT.COM can get me a better deal. The incentives are not bad - every metric from attendance, adherence, QA all have bonuses attached to them. I'm curious to see how that all pans out.
Theresa and Tang are doing OK. I don't think they were prepared for me to be gone all day, even though I've been telling them for a week. They have been attended to and we are all settling in for the evening. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, rainy damp cool Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad to share your news that your first day went reasonably well. I'm sooo glad you are finally being able to have benefits again - - which I hope includes paid time off for holidays and vacations. I hope you are able to find a decent insurance carrier if you decide not to take your employer's. My current health insurance deductible is $10,000, and from what I can tell in my research for coverage for 2015 deductibles are to be capped in the $6,000 range - - the theory being the higher the deductible the lower the premium. However, in my case although the deductible will be lower the monthly premium will be 5 times higher than what I'm paying now. The good news is this is a short-term financial inconvenience - - but a very major expense nonetheless.
I can so understand your precious Theresa's and little Tang's "confusion" in adjusting to your NEW schedule. Our companions do get used to our being home with them, and when this schedule changes it's an adjustment for them as well. I know they were very happy when you arrived home yesterday evening, as they are always happy to have daddy home.
This morning has been very busy, and I'm glad to finally be home to stay now for the rest of the week. With the roof work scheduled to begin Saturday, materials to be delivered sometime on Friday, and the weather forecast to be on the very unsettled side storm-wise tomorrow, I decided to do the grocery shopping early this morning before the crowds gathered. After I got home with groceries I called the vet clinic to talk to Dr. Bolen for advice on giving Noah a mild tranquilizer while the work is being done. She agreed that it might be helpful, so I went into town to pick up his prescription. I just want him relaxed enough so that the pounding and stomping on the roof will not cause him undue stress. So now the errands are done for this week so that I can be home tomorrow when the weather is forecasted to be potentially hazardous. The region is under a flood watch until Thursday because of all the rain forecasted today and tomorrow.
I hope you and your precious companions, LoveMyMickey, and everyone in your area will be safe with the storms as they pass through your areas.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hi moon_beam. Sometimes sunny, sometimes windy and rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are doing well. I'm glad to hear the roof repair is proceeding on schedule and hope that Noah's meds help him relax and not stress.
I just don't get the is whole high deductible with no copay where we are responsible for all expenses up to that point and then they only pay 80%. I'd rather have the higher premium personally. I have 30 days before I have to notify Passport of KY of my changes. Perhaps I can get an appointment and stock up on my meds in order to give me some wiggle room. We'll see.
Today's work was OK I guess. But this crowd has WAY too many "side conversations" about nothing (usually sports) and the trainer has little to no interest in keeping the class on track - half the time she joins in (sigh) Well, I'll just absorb as much as I can and do my best. We do get 10 days of paid vacation per year, 7-8 paid sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 8 hours strait time for holidays regardless if we work them or not. I'm off on Thursdays and that covers Thanksgiving, Christmas, And New Years. Let's hope they get enough volunteers that I don't get drafted. Either way, I will come out ahead pay wise.
Theresa and Tang are coping with the new schedule. The up side is I sleep all night in the bed now rather than crashing on the sofa which is going over quite well for cuddle times

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a pleasant evening.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy, damp Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like you have a decent benefits package, aside from the health insurance. I think you would be very wise to "stock up" as much as possible on your prescriptions through your current insurance. I only have a couple of prescriptions that I use on a routine basis and I plan on doing the same thing before my current insurance coverage ends the first of December.
Sadly, the attention span of "youngsters" in the work force is minimal, so your observation of them having "side conversations" during the training sessions is not unusual - - it's also very rude, and it sounds like the trainer does not feel secure enough in leadership to keep the training sessions focused. Just do what you're doing, my friend - - keep focused.
I'm glad to share your news that your precious Theresa and little Tang are settling into the "new normal" with your new job. This is a POSITIVE change in routines, and I know they sense your relief in your having another job.
Last night I tried to watch one of my favorite programs on Amazon Prime, only to be met with "technical difficulties." I was concerned that somehow the account had been "hacked", but it was too late in the evening for me to take on the "battle" of customer service. A few moments ago I tried again and whatever the "technical" issues were last night have been resolved - - for which I am very happy about because I really do like the programs I'm watching on Amazon Prime, in addition to Hulu Plus. The cost of Amazon Prime has increased, so I'm setting some additional funds aside every month to cover the renewal for next year. I'm wondering how the latest "net neutrality" battle will affect my ability to have access to viewing programs through Hulu and Amazon.
Not a great deal going on today, for which I am very grateful. Noah is settled next to me as I'm writing to you. I need to make a trek to the mailbox as I totally forgot to do that yesterday evening. It isn't raining here at the moment, so this is a good time to do it.
Hello moon_beam. Partly sunny and cooler greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear your streaming video issues have been worked out. I get really steamed when the shows I usually watch on the free spot on demand are not updated or working right.
Today the trainer REALLY put her foot down. The others may not have "gotten" the subtext, but I very much got the feeling repeat offenders may be cut. And it's not just youngsters either, some of them are in their mid 30s or older. I've heard many of them mentioning someone they "know" in the company getting them the job. I know someone too, but I have the satisfaction that got in on my own merit and earned it. But we got free pizza today which was nice. I probably shouldn't have had that 3rd slice as my digestive system is telling on me now
Theresa and Tang are doing fine and are continuing to adjust to the new schedule - which they will have to do again in just over 5 weeks. Not much else going on, just really tired. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, SUNNY pleasant Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. As always I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like the trainer might have gotten some "advice" to try to help keep order in the training sessions. Once things get out of control it's hard to get it back sometimes - - as school teachers can tell you. Soak up everything you can, ask questions if you need / want to, which will show your interest in your job and the company, and keep your sights leveled on doing the best job you can in your position with the hope your efforts can also be an opportunity for advancement both salary wise and advancement wise.
Sunbeams are playing "peek-a-boo" today, - - still it's nice to see them ever so more plentiful today from all the rain and dreariness since Monday. My precious Noah is a very happy camper today with the return of the sunbeams. It's time for me to get some lunch in his bowl, so I will get this posted.

Hello moon_beam. Hazy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad to hear he had some sunbeams to bask in today

You may be right about the "advice" part as the trainers boss addressed the class today. She politely, but firmly laid down the law since we are now 1/2 a day behind on the material. Earlier the trainer had asked about people wanting off an hour early due to the Derby Parade. Most wanted it, a few didn't care. But I and another didn't. Because 1.) I need the money (no matter how insignificant they consider the loss of an hour's pay) And 2.) it would not have made any difference since Broadway was already blocked off. I would have gone along with the majority, and let it drop. But they decided the new "side conversation" was to give me grief about my "stupid hour of pay - what, do we need to give to the money?" So, I advised the trainer that this is where it starts with the people who always want VTO (unpaid leave early) try to "beat the system" on occurrences and whine when their paychecks are small and get written up. She agreed with me, but the rest of these clowns were mad because she had to run it past HR and they said "9-5:30 is the schedule they agreed to when we hired them - tell them to deal with it" The trainer (and by extension her boss) seemed to be on my side though, because she took me aside to ask if I was alright. Of 17 people, I'll be surprised to see more than maybe 12 make it all the way to the call floor - and I fully intend to be one of them. End of rant. I feel better.
Theresa and Tang are doing well and both greeted me at the door upon my arrival. They are such a joy to come home to after a trying day. I hope today has treated you and Noah well, and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny sunrise T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm glad to know the trainer was supportive of you yesterday about the "early dismissal" issue, and am sooo glad HR stood by the designated hours of training. It is nice to see that the "mob mentality" did not rule the day yesterday. Living and working in DC I can so relate to the frustration you experience in your transportation for the "special events" in the area - - such as the Derby. I hope today's travels will not be too much of a problem for you, and the good news is that the "hoopla" will all be over tomorrow, which I hope will restore normalcy to your transportation come Monday, 5/5.
The roofing materials are to be delivered sometime today, which has prompted the early rise for my precious Noah and me. Since I don't know when the materials will be delivered, I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to write to you - - hence the sunrise greetings.
Noah always enjoys the sunrise and early hours of the morning, and is perched on his window bench in front of the big door watching the woodland residents forage for their breakfast. Perhaps at some point today my precious Noah and I can enjoy a snuggle and a nap.
I hope today will treat you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Received a call from the contractor around 12 Noon letting me know that not all of the materials have been received, so no deliveries will be made today. The next anticipated date for delivery will be Tuesday, 5/6, with installation scheduled for Thursday, 5/8. I do like this better than having a contractor here tomorrow. So we shall see what happens. Once again hope today is treating you and your precious companions kindly, my friend. Peace and blessings, moon_beam

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. (it finally means something again) I hope you are both doing well. I hope he enjoyed the sunbeams, and I hope all goes well with your roofing project today.
I didn't seem to experience any "backlash" at work today, but there are still a few glowers here and there. But I have to expect that considering how, shall we say, demographically skewed the class is - and most definitely not in my favor. In any case the trainer will be out for at least the early part of next week and her boss is taking over. I have the feeling I'm about to see the training room version of a 30 car pile up
In any case, the turnout for the parade was fairly low and I got home in record time. Tonight about 10 minutes late, but it's Oaks/Derby. So I'm going to call that a win. Theresa and Tang both met me at the door when I got in; seems they are really getting with the program of the new schedule. Both are well. I tried to allow some balcony time, but the local bubbas are down there swilling beer, smoking, and generally "carrying on" Oh well, perhaps tomorrow when it's sunnier and warmer for Caturday

Well, my first real full time week for quite some time has finally come to an and. Time to settle in for the evening. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a wonderful evening of quality time and snuggles. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so smiling at your precious fur tribe "getting with the program" of your current schedule. They know you are working again, and are so thankful for that - - they are happy for you and ever so glad to see you home to them safely at day's end. Yeah, I know about the disturbances of other "dwellers" contradicting your precious companions' desires to enjoy the peace and tranquility of their "space". This happens in areas of individual homes as well. However, I'm hoping your precious companions will be able to enjoy balcony time today.
This morning when I got Noah his breakfast around 6 a.m. I had the mental alertness to take an antihistamine in preparation for doing the first mowing of the front yard. Noah and I went back to bed for a couple of hours to enjoy a quality snuggle time as well as to let the antihistamine take effect, and I'm so glad I took it because there was a LOT of grass pollen floating around in the air as I did the mowing. And because we are experiencing a drier spring, there was also a lot of dust being kicked up from the areas that have little ground cover. I'm sooooo glad I did the mowing this morning of the "green whatever patches" - - the yard always looks so much better when it's "groomed." I have some raking of leaves and debris from the winter to do at some point in time - - perhaps before the roofing crew arrives this coming week.
Noah is doing well. We are enjoying having the big door open and gated for fresh air and the songs of the woodland residents. When I got up this morning there was a beautiful red bird in the yard - - I don't think it was a Cardinal though - - it was smaller and shaped differently from a Cardinal. The Blue Jays are abundant this spring.
It's getting time for me to get some lunch for my precious Noah, and some lunch on the stove warming for me as well.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny, breezy and warm Caturday greetings (Derby Day too, if you're into that) to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is doing well and you had some snuggle time before tackling the yard work.
I really didn't want to get up this morning at the usual time - give or take. I guess this week took more out of me that I had expected. But I had Theresa and Tang "bookends" to help me struggle out of bed around 9:00. That made Tang's insulin a bit late, but not too terribly so. Both are doing well today.
Speaking of local wildlife, walking in the subdivision behind my apartments to run errands I heard what sounded like a wood pecker. I could not see him though. I also heard the usual rooster crowing and his accompanying hens. It's weird, I always seem to hear and see them in different yards every time. Makes me wonder if they are some kind of urban free range, or simply abandoned and people just leave them be. I also saw a beautiful wren alight with a worm it its mouth. I remember thinking I guess one doesn't necessarily need to be the "early bird"

It's been quite pleasant today with the sun and breeze and no warmer than 72. I allowed balcony time this morning and now. Only Tang remains outside as I write. It was also claw clipping day a bit ago. They were both unusually cooperative about too. The "lieutenant" only had a few, but the "princess" had a full set - no surprises there, my little huntress.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,
Happy Caterby Evening!

I hope you, Lt. Tang, and Princess Theresa had a good day. Things are about the same around here, but Smokey took a day and a half off somewhere. He came back this evening. All the others usually show up every day. I think that long haired one, Caramel, looks like a Maine Coon cat. Late at night the Ky. Coons (racoons) show up.
I see that the Derby is over except for the partying. I usually try to keep up with the info on the horses but just couldn't get into it this time.
I'm glad the furbabies got their balcony time and are doing well. Give them a special pet for me. I hope your work next week treats you well. You and furbabies are always in my thoughts and prayers. Always thinking of Sir Tom too.....God Bless..TTFN

P.S. Moon_beam, thank you for thinking of us during last week's storms. We had only a few mild thunderstorms and lots of rain. We went to the basement one night, but it was all over by the time we got down there.

Hello LMM. Happy Catderby evening to you, hubby and the kitties as well

I really don't follow the Derby, so I have no clue either. Glad to hear Smokey came back from his "walkabout" - Poor Caramel

most definitely a stray. Lost or abandoned. Have you seen any fliers?
Thank you for the well wishes on the job, etc. I still have not received a log in ID even though everyone else has

Given my luck, I feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. But I guess if there was anything bad in my background check, etc (and there should not be) it would have surfaced by now.
I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful evening and that you are all doing well, TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits, and hope your laundry time went smoothly.
It is always impressive and inspiring that wildlife can find refuge and sustenance even in the most urban of areas. Every life form was originally designed to peacefully co-exist with one another. The wildlife among us help to remind us of that connection.
I'm smiling at your precious companions' "pedicures" - - and yes, the procedure does go much better when our furkids are not squirming and pulling their paws away. I'm so glad your precious Theresa and little Tang were cooperative for you for their nail trimming yesterday.
The "favorite" horse did win the Derby yesterday, and earned the roses in the winner's circle - - it was not a "run away" race to the finish line. I did not have any particular "favorite" for the winner yesterday - - I just enjoyed looking at the horses and listening to their various stories that brought them to Kentucky for the day. I must say California Chrome is an impressive horse to watch, and it will be interesting to see how he does in a couple of weeks at the Preakness. If he wins the Preakness in the same style he won the Derby yesterday, he could very well be a serious contender to Affirmed's title come the Belmont.
It's another beautiful day here with sunbeams and a nice breeze. My precious Noah and I are enjoying the big door open and gated again today. At least once during the day a bee manages to find its way inside from around the screen I put up when the door is open, and this morning was no different. I was able to guide the bee back outside with the assistance of a broom I keep next to the door for this very purpose.
I hope you will get your login ID soon, my friend. When I started my job with my ex-employer I had to wait several weeks before I got my logins - - including my login ID for payroll. Please let us know how things go, my friend.

Hi moon_beam. Sunny and warm greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you are both well. I'm glad you got to enjoy the Derby yesterday, and the nice weather and wildlife today.
Laundry went fine, no issues. I have been thinking, when the time comes that is, I will make Thursdays laundry day. Most people are at work, so if I do it in the morning I should have similar privacy. Besides, when I'm done with my laundry on Sundays I'm pretty beat. So, I may as well sleep in a little so as not to be too tired for my 1/2 day shift.
The weather was nice enough after the laundry to allow balcony time for Theresa and Tang (who are both doing fine) They didn't stay out long. (I do recall seeing a bee too though) Oh well. We all had good cuddles throughout the day.
It's hard to believe I'm getting ready to start my 2nd week of full time work. I too hope my ID is ready soon, if they expect me to take calls that is. They did give me my USA Today system ID though, but we have not covered that material yet. The first system ID is for the 82 local papers we take calls for. Plus I got my access badge activated. I guess all that considered I should not worry about my "status" as it were?
Getting ready to take care of the kids' needs and settle in. I do hope today was kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy, sometimes sunny cool Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm always glad to share your news that your precious companions are doing well and enjoying their balcony time as they desire. Of course their preference is always going to be wherever YOU are - - particularly now that you are working again. They will want to get as much "daddy time" as they possibly can.
Sounds like you have a good plan for getting your laundry done once your regular routine begins. Doing your laundry and chores on Thursday will free up your Saturdays to just "hang out" with your precious Theresa and little Tang.
I'm glad you have at least some of your ID codes, and yes, having your access ID code is a good indication that you are an official employee. I hope this week will go better in the training classes, and I look forward to knowing how things are going.
The sunbeams are playing hide and seek with the passing clouds that sometimes bring a few brief rain showers. I hope the showers will help the grass seed I put down in the back yard a couple of weeks ago to take root and grow. Fired up the big desk top this morning to do the security updates and scans. Noah is settled next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and very warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both doing well. Hope you get just enough rain to be beneficial to your lawn.
Today at work was very different - and a bit disappointing. I was glad for the quiet and focus on the material, but I was hoping the training manager would see what I was up against last week. Then again, maybe she did hence the "talk". Apparently, my USA Today ID does not work if I can't log into the VPN security, and that's dependent on my main Windows log in (sigh) Perhaps tomorrow. Like I said, at least I can get into the building.
Travels home were not so good. Either my bus was 30 minutes late or I just happened to catch the next scheduled one. Judging my the driver breaking speed records, I'm guessing the former. But Theresa and Tang were both waiting on me with looks like "Well, THERE you are finally" Both are well and settling in for the evening. As I was coming up the stairs, I saw that Siamese mix waiting by the dumpster. I guess he/she was waiting on me to put out the food. I rushed upstairs to get some food hoping to interact. But by the time I got back down there, he/she was gone. Not much else going on here. I hope today was kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN.

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I am chuckling at your precious furkids' initial greeting when you arrived home yesterday evening. Indeed, I can see them sitting by the door tapping their feet remarking to one another, "where on earth could he be? doesn't he know he's supposed to be home by now? we'll have to talk to him about this!!" And then when the door opens and you're finally home - - all is forgiven!!!
I'm sorry you're not being able to access your log ins yet. If this persists I hope you will have an opportunity to ask the trainer about the situation so that it can be resolved before you are expected to begin your actual work. Please let us know how things go.
I'm sure the Siamese kitty was close by watching you put food out for him / her and the other homeless waifs. They will get used to your new schedule, too.
Spoke with the roof contractor a few minutes ago about the status of the delivery of the materials. The "new plan" is that the materials are supposed to be delivered to the warehouse by tomorrow, and then delivered here at the house on Thursday with the contractor here in on site to begin the installation. So we'll see what happens.
Doing a load of laundry this morning, and Noah and I are enjoying having the big door open and gated. It's still a little cool in the 60's, but the fresh air is nice.
Not much else happening around the homestead. I hope you are both well. I also hope you get your roofing project back on track. I'm sorry you are getting the runaround, I know that must be frustrating.
Today at work we started taking calls on what are considered the 2 easiest skills (vacation stop/start and service issues) I was Y-jacked in with another trainee when the training manager came to me with my ID (YAY) It was not too bad, I guess. Tomorrow to the end of the week, we will get trained on everything else. Then, the following week just calls from the training room. Then 3 weeks in the call center with OJT partners before going to our real shifts. I'm hoping all goes well.
Theresa and Tang are both well and greeted me at the door (on time tonight for which they were most pleased) I have taken care of their needs and they are settling in. I didn't see any waifs tonight, but I still put out some food.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most wonderful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm pleasant Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
CONGRATULATIONS on getting your ID's yesterday!! This is a definite step in the right direction, and I know this takes a lot of concern off your mind. Sounds like you have a schedule set for your ongoing training leading into your regular schedule come June. I know it sounds like a long time, but June will be here soon enough. I know you're looking forward to getting settled into your routine. Look forward to sharing with you how things go.
Worked in the front yard this morning beginning the raking and clean up process. Made some definite progress over a 2.5 hour workout. Raking is a good upper body strengthening work out, and the bending combined with the raking is a great cardio workout. Still have more work to do - - whenever. Everything is so dry - - everywhere I worked in the yard was accompanied by the sound of dry crunch under foot. It wouldn't take much to start a wild fire here. The best part of doing yard work is coming back inside where my precious Noah is patiently waiting for me.
Lunch has been served, so I'm enjoying some rest time now, and my precious boy is stretched out on my legs as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny, warm and breezy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. It sounds like you had quite a workout in the yard today my friend. Just be sure to be careful and pace yourself, I worry about you hurting yourself.
Today at work was OK I guess. We covered a lot of material, but are still behind because of this "rowdy" class (sigh) I'm hoping that with more time I spend on the phone, I will get better.
Tonight's trek home was without incident, I even caught a 4th street bus to my 18 bus stop that I usually walk to. It's only 4 blocks, but it was still nice. When I got home Theresa and Tang were there to meet me, I think we are starting to gel on this new schedule. Both are well and have settled in for the evening. Unfortunately, I had to "evict" Theresa from the computer desk chair to write this. She was mid bath too, bless her heart. But I promised she could have it right back as soon as I was done with this post.

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It's always a blessing to share your news as to how you and your precious companons are doing.
If I understand your training schedule, you only have one more week to endure in the classroom setting. I'm sorry the other participants are disruptive to the training environment which does inhibit the ability to concentrate. Still, I hope you are being able to endure with it so that you can excel in your new job, and hopefully be recognized accordingly. Please let us know how things go.
I'm chuckling a bit at your precious Theresa's choice of place for grooming -- the computer chair. Naturally she would choose that spot knowing full well that daddy uses that same chair at / around that very same time. I can just hear her, "hey, daddy, I was using that chair first!!" I'm sure by now you have reconciled any "ruffled nerves".
The contractor foreman arrived around 8 a.m. to accept delivery of the materials, and explained to me that the crew would be here either later on this afternoon to begin the work, or definitely would be here first thing tomorrow morning. The problem has been the weather in the region with some afternoon storms that have affected the completion of jobs already in progress. Even though no rain has fallen here at the homestead, there have definitely been some storms pass through other areas in the region. I cannot begrudge a customer whose job has already begun / scheduled ahead of me having their job completed before my project begins. This is simply good business, in my opinion, and it is what I would, and do, expect with a contractor. So, I am simply patiently waiting "my turn" in the line. The fact that the shingles were delivered today is a clear indication that my turn is near at hand.
Noah is doing well. We have the big door open and gated for fresh air and enjoyment of the woodland residents. Soon it will be time for me to get some lunch in his bowl and some lunch on the stove warming for me as well.
I'm glad to hear he is well, and I hope you are too. Sounds like your roofing project is coming along. I'm sorry for the delay, and hope the weather does not impact the work too much.
You are correct in that next week is the last in the classroom environment (which will be mostly on the phones) Then we go into a special area of the call center to take calls for 3 more weeks with help. Today was very different as we got into the technical side of things for the web site and mobile apps, etc. Since I seem to be the only one in the class with that kind of experience, I was finally able to talk and contribute. Amazing how ignorance of the topic will make folks get really quiet, and what I had to say actually listened to

Yes, Miss Theresa was right back in the chair after I posted and gave apologies

She and Tang are doing well enough and have settled in for the evening after greeting me at the door and vying for attention. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a most peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, warm T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
It's always a good feeling when you have an opportunity to share some experience and knowledge with others, and be respected in the process. I hope this will give you acknowledgement in that you are not only learning new skills / techniques but also being able to use, and perhaps enhance, the skills and talents you have acquired through the years. Good for YOU, my friend!!!
The crew was here around 8 a.m. to begin the roof work. The morning was spent taking off the old shingles and this afternoon is now focused on installing the new ones. I suspect this project will flow over into some part of tomorrow, or perhaps Monday, as rain and thunder storms are to prevalent throughout the area tomorrow. So I'm having to continue to be "fluid" in planning my activities / errands until this job is done.
Noah has had his lunch and mine will soon be ready. I gave my precious Noah a half dose of the tranquilizer med and hope this is enough to keep his nerves calm from the noise, as a half dose seems to make him act a little "spacey".
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Warm, but cloudy with chances for rain TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm hoping your roofing project continues to flow and not get side tracked by the weather. I hope Noah has minimal stress from the noise too.
Today we actually got through all of the tech material - amazing how quick things go when the "rowdy bunch" is quiet (more or less) We did some roll playing using the electronic job aid for the various browsers and operating systems. And due to some poking around on my part we discovered some updates that will require some tweaking of said job aid. This one young lady out right refused to participate even when the training manager asked her directly since all of the rest of us had already gone as agent and customer. I have to wonder how long she will last
Travels home were a bit less than lucky. We got out about 10 minutes early, so I though great I can get to PNC and get some quarters for laundry and still catch my 5:45 bus. This was based on the suburban branches being open until 6:00 on Fridays - not so apparently for downtown (sigh) Guess I have to go all the way out to the bank by Kroger tomorrow as the branch in my neighborhood is closed Saturdays. On top of all that, the bus was 15 minutes late.
Theresa and Tang are both doing well and greeted me at the door. Theresa got up on the computer desk demanding her "daddy hugs" Getting settled in for Caturday Eve

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, rainy, damp Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Good for you in discovering the updates for the electronic job aid. I hope your active participation will continue to show your new employer that you are a valuable employee. Sorry that you weren't able to get your coins for the laundry yesterday. Hopefully in the future you may be able to go to the bank during your lunch break to do this errand if there is a PNC within a reasonable radius to the newspaper. Hope you are able to quickly complete your errands today so that you can spend most of this day with your precious companions.
The crew left around 5:30 p.m. yesterday as rain storms began coming through the area. They completed the entire back area of the roof and the area over the garage. They returned this morning around 8 a.m. to remove the shingles from the remaining front part of the roof and begin the installation of the new ones. They stopped around 11 a.m. as steady rain began. Good weather is forecasted for Monday, so I'm hoping they will be able to complete the job. From what I can see from the ground the new roof really looks nice, and I'm so glad I went with the darker shingles.
Noah is doing well. To help cover the noise on the roof I have been able to find wildlife programs on TV that are soothing to both Noah and me. The rest of the weekend will be a nice respite from the thumping and stomping on the roof.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Good Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I am glad he is well and hope you are too. It's too bad the rain got in the way of your roofing project, but hopefully it will get back on track soon.
The weather is about the same here. I had a light rain on the way to the bus stop, but it seemed to clear up after I got down there. It started up again not long after I got home, but Theresa and Tang got some balcony time in before that. Both are doing well.
I have no idea why but not only did my PNC branch have a huge line (and all I needed was quarters) but the US Bank in the Kroger had one as well

I know tomorrow is Mother's Day, but the bank? Only a few were business people making deposits and getting change. The rest were cashing checks and taking out large sums of cash. Since when does one need cash to buy gifts and such?
It's been a pretty laid back day today with the kids, not much going on at this time. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, pleasant Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits, and hope your laundry time this morning went smoothly so that you and your precious fur tribe are enjoying this day together.
Your description of the lines at the bank yesterday remind me of the news reels of people lining up at the banks when the Depression hit in 1929. I have personally been through a bank failure that had to be taken over by the FDIC and it's not an experience I would want to go through again, which is why I keep some of my funds in a separate financial institution now. Whatever the reason for yesterday's activity the good news is you were able to get what you need, and that your account is protected.
Much to my surprise, and somewhat to my mixed delight and dismay, the crew was here early this morning to finish the roof. Needless to say I was looking forward to "sleeping in" this morning with my precious Noah only to be awakened before 8 a.m. by the familiar sound of pounding and stomping on the roof. However, the job is done now, with the crew leaving a little after 11 a.m.. I'm sure the work needed to be completed today so that the crew could begin another job tomorrow for another customer - - attempting to get back "on track" from the weather set backs with work scheduled. The crew supervisor will be coming at some point in time to inspect the work, and then the sales rep will come to also do an inspection. After the work is approved, the final billing and payment will be processed. I sure do hope this is the ONLY homeowner project I have to deal with this year.
Noah and I are now enjoying the peace and quiet of having our home back without contractors around, and have the big door open and gated for fresh air and enjoy the woodland residents. I have also been able to remove the dark shade from the bathroom window so that my precious Noah can once again looking out the window from his bathroom window perch if he so chooses to go there. As I'm writing to you he is stretched out on my lap.

Hello Tom's Dad, hope you and your fur kids are enjoying a nice Sunday. It's sunny and warm here. Mindy and Shelley have been enjoying their window perch and played a game of chase. Not much going on here. Talked to my mom and my sister earlier today.
I almost forgot...new people moved in to the apartment where Shelley's special kitty friend used to live. They also have a fur kid, but it happens to be a DOG! It looks like it's a cross between a dachshund and a beagle. I think Shelley has already spotted the little dog, but it's just not the same for her. I think she would have preferred a kitty friend.

Hello moon_beam. Sometimes rainy, warm and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear you got roused so early by the workers, but it's good they got it all done and out of the way.
Laundry was fine. I actually woke up on my own about an hour ahead of my alarm with some tummy cramps; doing better now. The weather early this morning was good, so I allowed Theresa and Tang some balcony time. Tang gave me a scare when I came out of the bathroom and didn't see him anywhere and the balcony was empty

The little bugger was hiding under the papasan chair
There have been cuddles with both kids who are doing fine. Getting ready to settle in for the evening, another day of work to start tomorrow. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hello DannysMom. Good Sunday greetings to you, Miss Mindy and Shelley.
Too bad Shelley didn't get another kitty friend with the new occupants. But maybe she'll take a shin to him/her; you never know.
Happy anniversary/Mother's Day to you and little Shelley too. I hope you all have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,
I hope you and furbabies had a good day. I know that really scared you when you couldn't find Tang. Not much going on around here, had a good day with pizza and chicken.
The same kitties still come around, mostly at different times. Tabby2 would always run while the food was put out. Now she gets a little closer to me especially when I have
a can in my hand. I feel sorry for her, she's the one with slightly crooked back legs.
Tracy, you and furbabies are always in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you have a good work week. Give the babies a special pet for me.
God Bless you all!....TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm pleasant Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I can very much imagine your total panic when you could not immediately find your precious Tang, and how absolutely relieved you were when you discovered him hiding under the papasan chair. I'm ever so very glad you were able to find your precious little boy, and that he is safe.
This morning I was able to get a lot of things accomplished. I mowed the back yard, and after my shower I changed the blankets on the bed from the flannel sheets to lighter summer cotton, and changed the coverlet on the basement sofa so that I could wash the one that has been on it for quite awhile. So now I have several loads of laundry to do at some point in time - - but not today. When the contractor crew was here working on the roof I had to put a larger cover over the bathroom window to block the outside view from the crew, and my precious Noah was not particularly happy about that arrangement. After the crew left yesterday, I was able to finally remove the larger window cover, and my little boy is once enjoying his bathroom window perch. We are also enjoying the big door open and gated for fresh air and the songs of the woodland residents.
I know you are thrilled to once again have a work routine, my friend, and I hope today is treating you kindly, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny, muggy and very warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad your little man has his perch back after all that work was done.
Work was hectic. Never less than 200 in the queue between us and the other call center in Greenville NC

Back to back calls pretty much the whole day. But it wasn't as stressful as it sounds. Perhaps because "service issues" is something I know all too well about from my previous posts about missed deliveries. I can "feel their pain" so it's not hard for me to listen and offer assurance and solutions. I could get an employee subscription for about 6.00/month - but why bother? The carrier service would probably still stink and there are plenty of courtesy copies in the 5th floor break area.
Princess Theresa and Lt. Tang are doing well and both met me at the door. I was running fairly well on time too. I've started them back on canned food each night again after a long absence due to finances and them being finicky - we'll see how long that lasts. So far, they have been gulping it down. Not much else going on. Feeling accomplished after a full day of work and ready to settle in. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It is always a blessing to share your news as to how your precious companions and you are doing.
I'm so very glad to share your news that you are once again able to provide a canned food feast for your precious Theresa and little Tang. I know they appreciate the resumption of this special treat, and I know it is a blessing to YOU to once again be able to provide for them.
I'm also very glad to share your news that your training is proceeding well. Most of customer service is being able to somehow let the customer know that you can "identify" with their problem - - and that you will try to do something to resolve it - - even if you haven't experienced their problem first hand. Many companies are now including a survey after speaking with a CSR to obtain feedback on how the customer's needs were met.
Sounds like you have an "alternative" to getting your newspaper now with the courtesy copies available for the employees. I was wondering about that, and am very glad you can save some extra funds in not having to pay for a subscription.
Noah and I were finally able to have a "sleep in" this morning, although I did keep waking up thinking that I heard someone on the roof - - known as "conditioned response". No one was there - - it was just my mind reacting to the stress of the roof work. Having my precious Noah snuggled next to me sleeping peacefully let me know that all was okay. Tomorrow morning will another early rise day as I will be taking my chariot (car) in for its annual maintenance and State inspection. So tomorrow is slated to be another busy day of sorts. Today has been busy printing off the monthly bank statement in preparation for the task of reconciling the statement with the checkbook.
My precious little boy has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages of warming on the stove. I'm looking forward to a quiet afternoon with my precious little boy.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Mostly sunny and warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry you're still "conditioned" from the roof work, but thankfully it's completed. Now you and your special boy can hopefully settle back into your routine. I also hope all goes well with the chariot tomorrow.
The queue was not as bad today - peaked at around 100ish. We got in down to single digits and finally 0 in a couple hours, but that does not last long

We reviewed for our "test" tomorrow, it doesn't seem too hard. One nice thing about being on the phones is that the rowdy bunch doesn't have the opportunity to get out of control as much. And 5 of them were taken down to the training module in the call center. The "last act" of the training manager before turning us back over to the trainer (I will miss her) I also discovered I can use my employee ID to access the E editions of all 82 newspapers (not just the local) That's kind of cool. I also got my enrollment packet from Gannett in the mail this evening; makes it all seem "more real" I guess.
Travels home were not too bad if about 10 minutes late. Theresa and Tang both greeted me, and proceeded to gobble up the canned food. Both are doing well. Right now, Tang has "appropriated" Theresa's favorite sliding window viewing spot behind the blinds. She is looking at me as if to say "Daaaaaaddy, stupid boy cat taked myz spot!" They are like true siblings, always trying to "one up" each other
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a very pleasant and peaceful evening. TTFN

PS: Is it just butterflies our departed companions send us? Yesterday while waiting for the bus, I felt something flick my face and thought nothing of it. When I looked down, I saw a ladybug had lit upon my shirt with seamless grace. I could not help but think of Sir Thomas

Hi, Tracy, sunny, sometimes cloudy, warm, humid Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I cannot help but chuckle a bit at your precious Theresa's dismay on her brother's acquisition of "her" spot at the window. I remember so very well the "dance" my precious Noah would do with his beloved adopted big kitty brother Eli and his beautiful baby sister Abbygayle when they would gather at the big door windows to look outside - - each one seeking their own "place" to get the best view. I'm sure you reassured your precious little girl "it's okay, my princess - - you'll get your turn when your brother is done - - it's okay to share."
Sounds like things are progressing nicely in your training as well as with access to other "perks" with your employee ID. I hope and pray this job continues to be a source of GOOD THINGS for you, my friend.
Got the car into the service department early this morning and received a call that there are couple of "big ticket" things that need to be done for the mileage on the car for the brakes, so the service this time around is going to be a bit on the "expensive" side - - but I assumed that would be the case this time. It will be ready in the very late part of the afternoon - - close to around the beginning of rush hour commute, so I probably will not be back on the computer when I get back home as it will be close to Noah's dinner time by the time I get back home.
Today's activities include updating the security programs and scans on the big desk top, and that should be done soon. My precious Noah is on his bathroom window perch taking a nap as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Cooler and rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear your car needed "big ticket" repairs - especially after the roofing project. But at least it didn't come as a surprise. I hope your travels to retrieve your car went well so you could get home to your little man before dinner time.
Yes, I assured Theresa she would get her turn - and that I don't kick her out when she is occupying one of Tang's favorite spots. She seemed mollified by extra "daddy hugs" Both are well after scarfing down the last of the first can of food I got the other day. Thank you so much for sharing your memories of Noah with Eli and Abbygayle
Well, I got a 93 on the test, which isn't bad. But I would have gotten 100 had I slowed down and looked at some of those questions more closely. Ah well, 85 is all that's needed, so it's good. Took some calls also and received more than a few compliments on my service. One lady called in thinking I would think it wasn't a "big deal" that her elderly mother was missing the comics, puzzles, etc section of the paper. But I set her straight that it WAS a big deal (because that's my favorite section too) Her mother likes to work the puzzles to keep her memory sharp (as do I) So, in addition to issuing credit, I walked her through printing them out off the E edition on the web site. She was so thrilled

Yeah, it's a lot of calls, but the people are so much nicer than say LG&E, and I really feel like I have helped people at the end of the day!
Not much else happening here. Me and the kids are settling in for some TV and cuddles. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most blissful evening. TTFN
