Hi, Tracy, sending you, your precious Theresa and little Tang cloudy gloomy Monday afternoon greetings from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I hope your visit to the local UE office is going well, and that perhaps you were able to get a few leads for jobs while you were there. You are frequently in my thoughts and prayers that the job just for you will present itself quickly.

I am sorry about Tang's ear. If there was a way I could put this right for him I would. You are doing the very best you can, Tracy. Just keep his ear as clean as you can. And you may want to check out the humane society to see if they have a fund to help with meds.

I know what you mean about how the Sunday paper used to be a good resource for job listings, but now everything is computer. There was a time when there would be page after page after page of secretarial jobs but now these jobs are few and far between - - even on the internet - - because secretaries are being replaced with computer specialists - - which I am not. So I am in a class that is quickly becoming as extinct as the dinosaurs. You, on the other hand, have GREAT qualificiations, and if it weren't for the overwhelming competition for jobs because of the economy you would be employed by now. Hang in there, Tracy. One day when you least expect it you will get an e-mail or a telephone call that will knock your socks off with a job offer.

Also if there are any holistic vets in your area you may want to give them a call to see if there are any "home remedies" that may be of help. It's worth a try, Tracy, don't you think?

Today has been a quiet one here. Worked on paying some bills online and enjoying being home with my precious Noah. I do not know how long we have together, for I have learned that life can change so quickly and not for the better, so each moment we have is precious to me.

I hope today is treating you, your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious furkids will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious furkids are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

I was only at the UE branch office for about an hour and 45 minutes, which was not too bad. Especially since I overheard a guard say that they were short staffed and only one person was doing the elligibility forms. But the lady looked it over to make sure it looked OK, and told me call for my check after 3:00. I did and it was processed as normal.

I sent a "heads up" email to the office about the rent being late as a courtesy. Just because I don't get any courtesy does not mean I should not attempt to give any.

I appreciate the suggestion about the HS, but I have checked with them as well as local animal advcocacy entities when I was in a similar place with Tom (Well, let's hope in Tang's case it's not life threatening) with no help offered sad.gif But I suppose I can put a message on the ones I subscribe to on FB again. Thanks for thoughts and prayers about finding a job. I read an article online that said if you don't hear back for a while from a job you think you'd be good fit for, don't worry, it's a good thing. Lets' hope that's true. Hope you and Noah are well. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy Tuesday afternoon greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I'm glad your UE check has processed and that your visit to the UE office went smoothly yesterday. I am continually hoping and praying that soon the UE check will be replaced by a bona fide stable paycheck that offers you and your precious fur family financial security.

Tracy, I am so very sorry that you have not received any positive responses for assistance from the HS and similar organizations. I do, truly do, understand how upsetting this is when you reach out for help from organizations that are supposed to be there to help only to be refused. This is so disheartening, and I am so very sorry this is what you are finding yourself up against. Just keep doing what you can for your precious Tang, knowing that your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers.

It's very cloudy and overall gloomy here, sometimes a little drippy - - not steady rain - - humid with cooler temps only in the 60's. We might see some sunshine by Thursday or Friday. Tomorrow morning I have an early morning trek to take the car in for service and State inspection. I'll be glad to get back home. Nothing significant on the agenda for today, though, which is so very nice.

I hope today is treating you and your precious furkids kindly, Tracy, and that you, your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious furkids are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

I applied for some assistance on a web site I found only to be told they have no funds due to drop in contributions (sigh) I did call Banfield and they told me to call the other one where Dr. Mills went. I spoke to a lady over there and she called me back after confering with Dr. Mills. I would need to level his plan up the preventive care option, and the procedure (based on what he did before ) would run about 160.00, which is not as bad as I thought. But right now it's still beyond my means. Not to mention the extra cab fare to go all the way over there and back. But I keep hoing things will turn around. Tang continues to be quite afferctionate, except when I'm trying to do the cleaning; dancing on egg shells doing that. I hope all is well with you and Noah. Peace and TTFN

LS Support
just a quick administrative note, this post has been moved to the 'New Beginnings' category of the forum. thanks to Tom's Dad for his understanding.
Tom's Dad
I have been relegated to a part of the forum that's rarely read or posted on. Apprently some people want me to "go away" I suppose the only way I'll have something to post in the "top spot" is if I am unsuccessful in getting Tang the help he needs in time. I pray that time does not come for some time. But if it sadly does, I will not be posting about on this site. It was never my intention to offend anyone or belittle their losses; quite the contrary. But in the complaints, the message I am getting is that my past losses mean less than thiers. I have really enjoyed sharing Tang's (and Theresa's) journey. But I get the message: "go away" I will post here if I have anything new to share or if someone on the off hand scrolls down far enough to see and makes their own post here. I felt a sense of accomplishment getting this post to manifest over 1000 replies; I have so few feelings like that these days. My apologies if this has angered some people. Peace.

Hi, Tracy, good morning greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

Please don't withdraw from sharing how you and your precious furkids are doing. Please don't fret about Tang's topic being moved to New Beginnings. I always check the different forums, but of course I will respect your decision.

It is another cloudy dreary day here in Virginia but sunshine may be returning for tomorrow and Friday - - thank goodness. Me bones are beginning to feel a bit soggy and Noah is so bored with the gloomy weather all he really wants to do is sleep. My chariot is getting its check up and State inspection today, and I should hear from the service folks later on how much the bill will be to get my car back. Since I haven't heard from them yet I'm taking this to mean they haven't discovered any major problems.

I hope today is treating you, your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

I hope that you get your car back in good running order. I am not sure what I will do going forward. I feel like some people (who choose to hide in anonymity) are chasing me away in an only slightly more polite way than on petloss.com. Maybe it's for the best, at least I'm not being kicked out all together. But it's hard not to feel more than a little hurt that here in a place of healing and comfort, the seeds of such pettiness exist. To those people: I am not posting anything offensive. If you don't like my posts, please don't read them or reply. I meant it when I said I enjoyed posting each day. If I have to do that from the basement, so be it. For now I need time to process this. Peace and TTFN(?)

I want to take a moment to thank those that sent me PMs with support. My experience with petloss.com was very traumatic as it seems much more "social media" oriented than LS. I will continue this thread in it's new home as much as I can. I look forward to the day that I only have a few minutes a day to read and post as I'm too busy working. A big thanks to all the people that made this thread over 1000 posts strong! Hugs form Theresa, Tang and myself wub.gif

Hi, Tracy, evening greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. It has been a busy day here with my car in the center of activity - - taking it in early this morning for service, coming home with a loner car, waiting for a call from the service folks, and then going to pick up my car and coming back home. WHEW!!! So glad this is done now until November or December when I will need to take it in for "winter prep" and routine service. I am VERY PLEASED that the cost this time around was less than $55 - - this is a RARE occurrence.

I'm so glad you will continue your postings in Tang's new location here in "New Beginnings", Tracy. I hope you, your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious furkids. Hi Tracy,

Just stopping by to say "hello". I hope you keep posting, I had no trouble finding your thread. I would miss you, Precious Theresa, and Tang if you left......About Tang's ear, have you ever tried cleaning his OUTER ear with peroxide? Or maybe dilute the peroxide with a little water. Don't put it in his ear, just wipe the outer ear with it. Just a thought............About Tang's surgery, won't they let you make payments? Anyway, I hope and pray everything turns out well for you all.

Tracy, I hope you and furbabies have a peaceful and cozy evening and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day....God Bless..

It's been mostly cloudy and warm/hot today. Just a while ago a thunder storm passed through, but not much rain. I'm glad you were able to get your mower fixed and a nice oven rack for your toaster oven. I know all about making do with what ever I can get my hands on. Today is Oaks, the race before the Derby and usually attracts the super wealthy and celebrities that then party themselves sick at all the gala parties tonight. It almost makes me sick how much I could do with just what they pay for a "plate" at those parties. It has been quiet though, even the leasing office was closed. I knew they would be tomorrow, but was surprised by today. Tang was not too pleased with me pulling the gunk from out of his fur outside his ear. But I think he's better now that he realizes that's what he was scratching at.

I let the vet know about having to reschedule for Tang, but the girl was none to interested in hearing about my problems (yadda yadda, what ever get off my phone, etc) My Banfield has really gone down hill since the personnell change sad.gif My phone has been ringing off the hook from Uninersity of Phoenix. No doubt one the fishers from my job application. Sheesh, am I that person's only account? I almost feel sorry for him or her. Until I realize at least they have a job. Not much else going on here. Hoping you and Noah are well.

TTFN.

Tracy, I hope Tang is doing okay. I found this on the Internet about natural cures for cat ear infections. Please read below, I hope it helps.

When a brownish-pink wax fills the ear c&%^ of your cat, chances are they are suffering a yeast infection that requires a thorough cleaning. Diluted white vinegar helps revitalize the chemical balance in the ears by removing unwanted dirt and debris. It is suggested to pour a small amount into the ear c&%^, massaging the area before gently wiping the inside of the ear using a cotton ball. Using vinegar is a once-a-day treatment that continues until the ear becomes better.

An herb called pau d' arco is an inner bark natural cure for cat's ear infection that originates in South America. This organic antibiotic works fast to eliminate fungi and bacteria. At the first sign of cat ear infection, mix equal parts of pau d' arco tincture with mineral oil and place several drops into the ears of your cat. For a couple of days, the treatment is given two to three times per day.

When ear mites are the source of a cat ear infection, consider putting a few drops of almond oil or olive oil in each ear, which kills mites and allows the infection to gradually heal. This particular regimen is necessary for three to four weeks – using three to seven drops of oil each day. Sulphur tablets are also considered a well known anti-parasitic used to treat ear mites in cats.

To treat severe cases with a natural cure for cat's ear infection when a loss of balance or head tilt surfaces, administer one tablet of gelsemium for three to four days (three times daily). Additional natural remedies for cat's ear infection includes vitamin C (reduces inflammation), an all-natural diet (reduces wax and boosts immune system), and hepar sulph or graphites to treat discharges of pus and foul smells.

Safe Administering of a Natural Cure for Cat's Ear Infection

When using a natural cure for an infection in the ear, it is important to administer the remedy into the horizontal part of the ear c&%^. First, gently pull the ear flap straight up, holding it with one hand. Apply a small amount of the remedy into the vertical portion of the ear c&%^ – making sure the ear flap is kept elevated. This position should be held long enough to allow the medication to run down the rest of the c&%^.

Place one finger in front of the ear flap at the base, as your thumb rests behind and at the base of the ear flap. Massage the ear c&%^ between your finger and thumb until you hear a "squishing" sound, which indicates that the medication has reached the horizontal c&%^. After releasing the ear, your cat will probably shake his or her head. It is normal to see dissolved wax fall out of the ear when applicable.

Last, clean the outer part of the ear c&%^ and the inside of the ear flap using a cotton ball (not a Q-Tip) that has been soaked in a bit of rubbing alcohol.

Sorry to hear that the Banfield people weren't so nice. I had a really bad experience at a Banfield here with my sweet Danny boy when he was only a few months old. The ditzy blonde vet who examined him picked him up with just one hand while trying to stick him with a needle, all the while singing some old hippie song from the 70s. She missed with the needle, and Danny screamed out in pain. I gasped and I wanted so slug her so bad. She just looked at me and said:"Who were you concerned about, me or the cat?" That's when I really wanted to slug her, but it's not worth going to jail for. I only took Danny back there a couple times to finish his shots, because he was on their Wellness plan. Every time he went there he shook like a leaf. He was absolutely terrified. When I started taking him to my regular vet, I still got all these reminders and postcards from Banfield. Telling them that I would never take my cat back there again and to stop these reminders didn't help. They said they couldn't remove me from the system. Yeah, right! I finally figured out that the only way to get rid of their pesky notes was to tell them I no longer had Danny, and that's what I did and the notes stopped. To me, they are just in the money making business. I only took Danny there because my regular vet was already closed, and then they sold me on their Wellness plan, so I was kind of stuck with them for a while. I still get angry when I think of that bad episode there.

Anyway, I hope one of these home remedies help your little Tang. White Vinegar is good for so many things, and it is a great disinfectant.

Thank you DannysMom

But Tang does not have a simple ear infection. He has a tumor, or with any luck a pollyp. Either way it's bad. He had the first one removed just before I got him. Perhaps your misconception has filtered to those people that also thought that he only had an ear infection leading to them wanting me and my "silly, useless" concerns to go away. Make no mistake. Unless I can get Tang the help he needs, and I can not afford, he is GOING to die. I was still kicked to the basement. Translation? The "people" and who knows else do not care if Tang lives or dies. His and my story is just not as interesting as the I love my dogs more than any of you other no name pet parents sisters that seem to rule here. They know who they are.

Tracy, I am so sorry. I didn't know that he had a tumor (or polyp). Do you know how much it would cost? I would be willing to chip in for his medical care, and I'd challenge anyone else on here who cares about animals to do the same. We're supposed to be here for each other, right? I definitely would not want your Tang to die. I've never met him, but for me the thought of Tang dying because of lack of funds leaves me feeling very very sad.
Tom's Dad
Thank you DannysMom

I have gotten an estimate, but I was not attempting to solicit donations. I'm sure that's a good way to get banned, and I don't need that. And I suppose there is a chance Tang could live with it for a long while (according to the vets; it was implied but never confirmed) I don't even mind being moved really. It's that people felt like I didn't belong there just because it started out as a new fur baby post. But, obviously it didn't stay that way sad.gif There are many posts in that forum that probably should be in other categories, but I never complained; what business is it of mine I always figured. It was not my intention of making you or anyone else sad. I just wanted the same right as everyone else to pour out my heart in journaling my feelings about the situation. The grief process, anticipatory or otherwise, is hard enough. But being told where and how to do so either by majority or minority rule just makes it harder. Thank you for for you caring and support. Bless you.

I wanted to take the time to thank people for all the additional PMs offering support and assistance - I'm not very comfortable doing this but here is the run down of the estimate I got from the Banfield where Dr. Mills (who did the original surgery before I rescued Tang) now practices:

If I upgrade his current basic plan (18.95/mo) to the Preventive Care (31.95/mo) to cover the anasthetic, the ball park was 160.00 or so. (assuming it's no worse than previously removed mass) I'm not sure of the transportation costs, I would have to check with the regular cab driver I have used in the past or get a general quote from the cab company. I'm only posting here since I've gotten more than one offer of assistance, which is much appreciated. Also, thank you Dannysmon for the list of sites to check out for help; I am follwing up on them too.

If I were working at the rate at which I was 2 years ago (a mere 5.5 months before I lost Tom) it would be easy. To that end I belong to over a dozen job search web sites with full profile, resume' and email updates. I have posted on or followed up on no less that 300 plus jobs in the last 2 months alone according to email and saved jobs bank. I have always prided myself on my ability to be independent and ability to fully care for my fur kids. But I am also touched at the outpouring of good will I have received since the move. A heart felt thanks to each and every one of you. Blessings.

Tracy, I just had an idea. Have you tried Care Credit? Friends of mine use it for their veterinary bills. It's like a credit card, and most vets accept it. You can always get a printout of Tang's history from Banfield. It shouldn't be difficult for another vet to look at his history and give him the appropriate treatment. You can always take his x-rays with you too. Here is a list of sites where you can do your own fundraising: http://vetmedicine.about.com/od/petadoptio...Fundraising.htm

I had posted this a while back in the forum for anyone needing help with vet bills, but never got any replies to it.

Hi, Tracy, good afternoon greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

Thank you very much for the update on your little Tang's ear. Please know your precious little boy is in my thougths and prayers that he will be okay and that you will be provided the way and means of taking care of him. Please keep us informed as to how things are going.

After yesterday's event with the car Noah and I are enjoying a slower pace today. We are also enjoying a visit with the deer this afternoon. It just amazes me how contented they are coming inside the fence and laying down under the trees and wooded brush. It is awesome!!

I hope today is treating you and your precious furkids kindly, my friend, and that you, your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. Thank you DannysMom. Yes Care Credit was explained to me by the Banfield rep. The problem is you have to have at least 500.00 in charges, and it's approval is just like any other credit card. Unfortunately my credit is terrible. But I guess it would hurt to try next time I'm in that area. Thanks for the fund raising link, I'll give it a try.

I think the deer come there because they know it's a safe place. It's a wonderful sight to imagine. Thank you for sharing. Today has been a nice spring day and lots of balcony time. While Theresa enjoys it very much, Tang is more reluctant. Perhaps it's the noise of all the machines uprooting the evergreens on the back walkway; which is sad. They are supposed top be planting something else, but I don't think it will be the same. Hope you and Noah are well. TTFN

I thought I would post about something positive I have noticed gradually over the past couple of weeks. I had a several cans of wet food on hand for when I needed to make sure Tom would eat before his insulin. I continued with it for Theresa after Tom passed, but stopped after she threw it up on more than one occasion. I decided to use it up before the expiration dates later this year for her and Tang. Not only has she not thrown it up (that I know of) but there has been marked improvement (decrease) with Tang drinking so much water and peeing so much. Perhaps all he needed was a slight change in diet. Not to mention he LOVES the stuff.

I usually will check the mail each day at abnout 5:30 PM. They take this as their sign that the can food is coming soon, and line up in the hall outside the kitchen. I clean Tang's ear first so he will have a positive reinforcement by getting can food right after (just a spoonful for each) Sometimes it's the little things we need to see to try to hold on to hope.
DannysMom
Hi Tracy, that is good news that Tang and Teresa like the canned food. My vet recommended that I put Mindy on an all canned food diet, but she does like to eat some dry food as well and has left canned food in her bowl, so I only feed her canned food once a day now.
Tom's Dad
Thank you DannysMom

I think a mix of dry and wet is a good balance for healthy digestion and keeping the teeth strong. Plus it gives them something to look forward to each day smile.gif

Hi, Tracy, sunny Friday afternoon greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I am so glad that your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing well with the canned food. I remember your stopping feeding it because Theresa had tummy upsets afterwards, but am so glad to know that she is doing well with it now. I had read an article on the internet that it is a good idea to give our furkids a variety between dry and canned food as a steady diet of just one type of food is not always healthy. Of course it depends on the individual needs of our furkids and if there are any special medical needs for diet as well. It is soooo special that you give your little Tang his "good stuff" after his ear cleaning - - I know he knows that you love you very much, Tracy. I give my Noah his canned food as his dinner and he can hardly contain himself with delight as I'm trying to get it in his bowl. He is on the counter pushing his face into the can and his bowl at the same time as I'm trying to get the food into his bowl. I let him lick the spatula and then I wipe the can with my finger for all the residue and he licks my finger until he's gotten every morsel. Then he gets the bowl to chow down. It is quite a sight to see him afterward with half of his dinner on his face - - but that doesn't bother him one little bit as he is smiling as he licks his chops and gives himself a spit and polish when he's finished.

I'm so glad giving your little Tang some canned food variety has helped him not drink so much water. I know this has taken a huge concern off your mind, Tracy. And I know your little Tang appreciates the variety, too.

If I may say something about Care Credit - - I have that, too, but to my knowledge there are no minimum charge limitations to the account - - only what my total credit limit is. I applied for my Care Credit online, and if I may suggest that you try doing the same thing - - as opposed to doing it through your vet's office - - or calling Care Credit directly to double check about the "minimum charge" information. If you are able to get Care Credit I think you will find this to be a good thing, as I have. I hope this helps, Tracy.

Yesterday I thought I might try to mow the front yard today but don't feel up to the task today. Instead Noah and I are enjoying the sunbeams and working on more quiet time type projects. I hope today is being kind to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang, my friend, and that you and your precious furkids will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious fur tribe are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Chuckling at the mental picture of Noah going crazy over can food. I was lead to believe from the Banfield rep that Care Credit was their thing and that 500.00 was the policy. Are you saying that CC is a separate entity? Because I was not aware you went to Banfield. If so, can you give me some conatc info; phone number or web site? Enjoy your sunbeams, here we have sun and 66 degrees with a light breeze - Spring, for a change. Hugs for Noah. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, YES - - Care Credit is a separate entity. You can access it online via www.carecredit.com. Telephone contact is 800-677-0718. You can speak with a live agent M through F from 9 am to 9 pm EST. I hope this helps, Tracy. Please let us know how things go with this. You will be billed directly by Care Credit every month and can pay your bill either online or via check by mail. It has really been a life saver for me and my furkids on occasion. No, I do not go to Banfield. My vet is a participating vet, though, and so is my dentist - - which is how I was able to finance my recent dental work.

Found it and applied. I doubt I will be approved because of my credit and the fact I'm already behind on my Premier MC. But I gave it a shot. Just got a call from Office Teams about a job in that generl area - only 11.00/hr but told her to go ahead and submit. At least I got a call.
moon_beam
Hi, Tracy, I'm glad you were able to get the CareCredit application submitted. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that this will work out for you. I know the salary is not what you're hoping for, BUT it is a beginning, and if it's a GOOD JOB perhaps you will be eligible for a raise within 6 months. If nothing else it gets you back into the work force and you can always continue your job hunt for a better job. I am so hoping this turns out for the best for you. Please let us know how everything goes.

A little while ago the deer were back for a visit. They came right up to the house, but something spooked them and they charged out of the yard. Perhaps they will come back later - - whenever it suits them.

You and your precious furkids are in my thoughts and prayers, Tracy.

I go for an interview at the client location Monday morning. Given the travel time it will probably take over half the day. But at least it's somethng semi productive to do. Today has been uneventful. I went to the bank to deposit my UE check and get the money order for rent which I will be putting in the drop box shortly when I go to check my mail. Other than that, not much to report. I always hearing about the local wild life in your area too smile.gif Hope you and Noah are well.. TTFN

Hello Tracy,

That is good news! Good luck with the interview on Monday!!! I hope it works out for you. And I hope you get approved for the Care Credit. I'm so glad that moon_beam found the website for you. I hope you and Tang and Teresa are well.
Tom's Dad
Thank you Dannysmom

We will see. Still it's an awful long way to go for not much more than I'm making on UE. But keep an open mind as they always say. And it will give me something productive to do. Hope you and your fur kids are well. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, Caturday evening greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

Congratulations on your interview on Monday!!! Yeah, I know what you mean about the hourly wage - - but HOPEFULLY, if you are offered this job, and accept it, you will be eligible for a GOOD RAISE within 3 month at the earliest, 6 months at the latest. Will look forward to knowing how things go.

Today has been a quiet one here. I worked on some things on the computer, and printed off my monthly bank statement in preparation for the challenge of reconciling the statement with the checkbook - - probably Monday or Tuesday next week. Since we're expecting more rain next week I decided to put off the thrill of mowing the front yard until the sun returns next Thursday or Friday. I just did not feel up to the task this week.

Noah has been keeping me faithful company all day, as he usually does. Soon it will be time for me to get my little boy his dinner and do the evening chores before settling down with my precious Noah for some dedicated snuggle time. No deer visits today -- they must be making their rounds in their territory.

I hope today is treating you and your precious furkids kindly, my friend, and that you, your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious fur tribe are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Not holding my breath about Monday or the wages, but thanks. Been very overcast here today, but no rain so far. Theresa and Tang are doing OK as they have had their can food and are settling in. Don't over work yourself on the yard work, my friend. Hope you and Noah are well. TTFN

Hi Tracy.....Happy Caturday to you and sweet little Tang and Theresa.....The temps were very pleasant today, wish it would stay this way. We did get a small rain shower about an hour ago.

Blackie is still coming and going. One day this week, he caught a little chipmunk (which I didn't like to see), but he brought it on the carport on the rug. Anyway he started patting and playing with it and it took off running. Blackie took off chasing it, but didn't catch it, because he came back pretty quick. I bet under all that black fur he had a red embarrassed face. biggrin.gif

Well, Tracy, good luck on your interview Monday. You and furbabies are always in my thoughts and prayers....TTFN..

Glad the poor little chipmunk got away. I suppose Blackie was trying to present a "gift" to show his appreciation. Bless his heart. It's cool here today and has been raining nonstop all morning (which made laundry fun) Me Theresa and Tang are taking advantage of such good napping weather. Hope all is well with you today. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes sunny Sunday afternoon greetings to you, your precious Theresa and little Tang from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

So glad you and your precious furkids are being able to enjoy a cozy snuggly day. Rainy days are good for that, as are sunny days, cloudy days, ho hum days - - EVERY DAY!!!

I know the salary is less than what you need, Tracy, BUT if the job is a good match and if the travel time is decent, it will get you back into the workforce - - which you can continue your job search for a better salary while you still have income. And if this is not a job for you, you will at least have had the experience of an interview and still have your UE. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers that this interview will be a GOOD one for you tomorrow, and please let us know how things go, Tracy.

The rain you are having today is forecasted for the region here with a flash flood watch in effect through Tuesday evening. Fortunately our little house in the woods is not in a flood prone area. Still my heart goes out to the people whose homes and livelihoods will be adversely affected if the forecast holds true for those areas.

Nothing exciting going on here. Yesterday was a busy computer day, so I'm looking forward to more dedicated time with my precious Noah today. I hope today is treating you, your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious furkids will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious fur tribe are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

I'm thinking you are misunderstanding though. I'm not going to the agency, I'm going to the actual job site. This is over 2 1/4 hours (each way) that will leave virtually no time for me to continue a job search. I don't want to turn it down necessarily, but neither do I want to get locked into something that will leave me no time at all not only to job searches/interviews, but pretty much anything else as well. But I will go and see what happens. I hope the rain does not cause you too much trouble. Hope you and Noah are doing well. TTFN

Well, THAT was a waste of time. I got all the way downtown and got on the Middletown bus. I looked at the map/schedule and realized it would not go down as far as I needed to go. Some of them do, but most do not. Needless to say, I was not able to make that appointment. At least I realized it before I got far away from downtown. I tried calling the agency for almost 2 hours and got a busy signal. I finally did get through though. What a day ohmy.gif
moon_beam
Hi, Tracy, I am so sorry that the bus connections did not work out for you. And I can so relate to the 2 hour plus commute one way - - been there done that many years ago - - and wouldn't do it again. I hope the person you spoke with at the company was understanding of your predicament, and that the agency working on your behalf for job searches is as well. I understand your disappointment - - a potential job lost. Still, at least you know what the transportation situation is for that type of commute, and can make your decisions accordingly for future referrals.

I hope today is treating you better, my friend. I know your precious Theresa and little Tang will do all they can to make their dad smile again. It's a rainy, gloomy day here, so Noah is taking a nap as I have been working on balancing the checkbook (done!!) and working on quiet time projects. I need to go to the kitchen and start warming something to eat.

I hope you, your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a peaceful and cozy evening, Tracy. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious fur tribe are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Just sitting here waiting for the maintenance man to (hopefuly?) come fix a leak I have discovered in my 'fridge; got a big bowl under it now. Waking up to half an inch of water under my crisper drawer last 2 mornings was not fun. But at least stuff is keeping cold.

Yeah it was a bust this morning, but at least I didn't get all the way out that way before discovering the problem. I finally did get through to someone at the agency and she seemed to understand. Back to square one (sigh)

Today started out rainy and gray, but has cleared up and there is a nice breeze right now that Tang is soaking up by the sliding doors. Theresa has taken to hiding in the closet lately. I hope it's just a phase. She comes out to eat and drink, and use the litter box. I think it's because I had to evict her form the computer chair a few times. She is getting so sensitive in her older years, bless her heart. Not much else going on right now. Hope you and Noah are well.
DannysMom
Hello, Tracy. It sounds like you've had quite a disappointing day, what with the job bust in the morning and your refrigerator leak. Hopefully, maintenance will take care of it today. I'm glad that you have little Tang and Teresa providing comfort and entertainment, and I'm hoping that a good job for you is just around the corner. Have you tried good old fashioned 'networking' for jobs? Sometimes the best way to get a job is through someone you know. I apologize if you've already tried that, just trying to help.
Tom's Dad
Thank you DannysMom

I don't have any close friends per se' - but on Facebook they have something called Branchout for job networking. A few of my aquaintances on there have signed up on my profile, and my resume' is posted there as well. Not mention about a dozen other "search" sites. I must get about 20 odd emails a day on my search profiles. The UE office requires six attempts in six weeks for the "review" Six? Try like about 200 and counting over the last 2 months for my part. Nobody came to fix the leak, but it's slowed and the bowl is more than up to the task of keeping the unit dry. Perhaps tomorrow (sigh) Management's sense of prioriries regarding repairs leaves much to be desired around here. Hope you and your fur kids are well. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sending you, your precious Theresa and little Tang cloudy afternoon greetings from Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious furkids doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I hope you will get your fridge fixed today. I know how frustrating trying to get appliances repaired can be - - both as an apartment resident and as a homeowner.

I was thinking that, if the job in "far away land" had worked out that perhaps you could have found acceptable alternative lodging for you and your precious furkids closer to your job - - perhaps even better lodging but without an incease in rent for the upgrade - - which might have made the commute much easier on a daily basis - - perhaps. But since I'm not at all familiar with the lay of the land, there is the possibility that the job could have been in an area that you would not have wanted to live in. In any case, I continue to hope and pray that very soon you will have a new job with a good employer that offers you financial stability, my friend.

I hope today is treating you, your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious furkids will have a very peaceful and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, and of your precious furkids. Please know you and your precious fur tribe are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

The job in "far away" land is in one of the wealthiest parts of town. So I doubt any housing there would come cheap. Not to mention these days I can barely scrape 2 nickles together, much less afford a huge undertaking as moving. And the salary would not have helped that any time soon. But, it's a nice thought though. Perhaps I can file it away with my other various day dreams that give me little bit of hope from time to time.

The guy is here working on the 'fridge. He pulled the face off the mechinism in the freezer and has gotten a ton of ice out of it. I hope it's fixable. Hoping this finds you and Noah doing well today. TTFN

Hi Tracy, I hope you get your fridge fixed today. That's the good thing about apartment living, they fix everything for you. I hope that Tang and Teresa are giving you lots of loving and attention. Hang on to those day dreams no matter how silly. Hope keeps us alive, and we need something to hope for and to hang on to.

Mindy has been trying to make friends with Shelley by chasing her, but Shelley gets scared and gives off low growls. It will take a while for the two to become friends.

Hey Tracey, just getting caught up on your news - I'm sorry about the job, but glad the guy showed up for your fridge! Sending you heaps of good energy to help in the job hunt, give tang and theresa their favourite pats and please accept a hug for yourself , thinking of you TTT, Leejaye

Today is starting out OK. All the jobs that came into my email I have already applied for or are not a good match. I did get a call out of the blue yesterday from an agency that's looking to fill an entry level computer tech position. Basically unboxing them, setting them up and making sure they are working with the defaults. Phone interview went well I think, and now just waiting to hear back. It would be a nice change of pace from call center. Theresa and Tang are doing OK. Hope all is well with you and your fur kids. TTFN
