Waif attendance in the morning continues to be abysmal; as in zero. I will keep up with all due diligence and hope they are doing OK. At least I did see the boys last night as you say.

Tang was in pretty good spirits this morning and we managed about 40 minutes of snuggle time before I had to finish getting ready for work. And he stayed right by my head purring away the whole time More on how he’s doing when I get home.

I have been hearing “chatter” around work from other people about the early release “rumor”. I sure hope it’s true; it would explain why they are trying to get people to quit. Two already have, so I guess it is working somewhat. Not for this man though. That being said, 27 days and counting (maybe) I’m just counting down my time until this end of this workday. Then I can turn my thoughts toward getting home to my precious boy.

This morning waif attendance was through the roof. I saw none during the provisioning, but heading down to the laundry room to put my clothes in the dryer I saw Bobtail and White Cat. Waiting for them to "fluff" I saw Tux Sr. For some reason I decided to walk the back way to get my clothes out of the dryer and I saw Siamese and Tux Jr. Bringing my folded clothes in for good I saw Little Gray. It's almost like they got together and decided to let me know they're OK

I had to go to the library so my provisioning was done at Kroger. I managed to get home by 10:40 with buses running earlier now.

Tang cuddled with me the rest of the afternoon, but has me a little worried. He loudly begged for his can food and milk then completely turned his nose up at it So either something is wrong or he's being an ungrateful jerk (sigh)

I saw no waifs at the first post this morning, but I saw a flash at the second that may have been some sort of gray tabby; I didn't get a good look. I thought it might have been Little Gray, but I saw her coming up to the third post. I also saw Bobtail by the entrance to the gym looking on "full alert" - which may have explained that blur I saw. I hope the "newbie" is eventually welcomed into the community.

Unfortunately that's about as far as I got. When I went to have a lie down with Tang my tummy started acting up So he and I has A LOT of cuddles today.

It's been a nice enough day for him to enjoy some balcony time too. In a while I get his supper and insulin so we can both settle in.

Got the rest of the weekly trash up and out to the trash bin for my regular volunteer on Thursday. I didn’t see any waifs this morning provisioning or heading to work. I did, however, see a possum and the jerk in the camo (army surplus) pants walking his dog during the latter. I said a silent prayer for the waifs to stay out of sight until he moved on.

Tang was in good spirits this morning and we had about 30 minutes of snuggle time – give or take since I opened the window to let some air in and he had to investigate of course We had a mishap while I was putting my lunch together though. He got too close under foot wanting a bite and being as clumsy as I am, I accidentally stepped on him He seemed more startled than hurt (he was moving/walking normal when I left) I will let you know how he’s doing when I get home.

Glad you were able to make into work yesterday even though it's your least favorite place you want to be. Still it's a paycheck which keeps provisions for your precious Tang, you, and the community waifs. I can so relate to those "accidents" of not seeing my precious Noah and inadvertently stepping on something - - a tail, a paw, etc. - - that sends him screaming in the opposite direction from me. Our precious companions are very resilient from mishaps - - and forgiving - - thank goodness.

It has been a busy day here at the homestead with chores. My regular Thursday volunteer takes my recycling to the recycling center when she goes, and she told me yesterday that she would pick up my stuff tomorrow. There's a lot of stuff collected over the winter months - - I hope she can handle it all. So I got that "stuff" better organized for her to load into her car tomorrow. Am still working through the bags of groceries from yesterday putting things away and bringing items downstairs that I need immediately. While I was doing that Noah's package of food and supplies were delivered so I was able to get that taken care of. And now I am definitely enjoying some rest time before I get my Noah his lunch. He has been keeping me faithful company with all the "doings" today, and is now settled comfortably next to me as I'm writing to you.

It was an "early rise" day for my precious Noah this morning around 10 a.m. He heard me get some water from the kitchen faucet so that I could take my iron supplement and thought it was time for something for him as well. So he has been keeping me company while I worked on the big desk top doing some work on financials and trying to work on something "creative" just to keep the brain cells somewhat active - - as the neurontin really dims the brain. My regular volunteer will be here in about a half hour so need to get my precious Noah his lunch earlier today.

I saw no waifs this morning. But it had been raining most of the night, so perhaps they were still in whatever shelter they could find. I did notice some of the food had been eaten at he 1st and 2nd posts, so that’s a good sign.

Tang was in pretty good spirits this morning even though snuggle time was limited, as it often is on Fridays. But the weekend is coming and we will have more time then. More on how he’s doing when I get home.

The meeting with HR/UE was about what I expected. I was able to confirm what I’d heard before; in Kentucky we are allowed to get the UE payments while receiving severance. So that’ll be nice I guess. Just 21 more working days to go – assuming we don’t get an early release. I’m not sure how that would affect the UE benefits though.

A busy morning here at the homestead. Got an order placed online with WalMart and took care of some necessary chores. Maybe at some point in time today I will be able to begin tackling removing some of the laundry I did on Saturday from the dryer. Can do just so much with my arms as the more I use my arms the more pain I'm in with my neck and shoulders.

My precious Noah is doing well. He roused for the day around 11:30 a.m. to greet me at the big computer and keep me company as I finished up my tasks there. He is now settled comfortably next to me as I'm writing to you.

Today has been spent online in live chat with a rep for my internet security program fixing it on the big desk top. Mind you it was working just fine yesterday but today it wouldn't update - - got message update failed, and the update now button wouldn't work. So after all is said and done the entire program had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. At least 4 hours of this activity - - so needless to say I'm pretty much "fed up" with computer stuff for today. Otherwise my precious Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages cooking on the stove.

I saw no waifs this morning and a bit of a plumbing emergency kept me home today doing clean up and waiting for maintenance. Plus I spilled boiling water on my left middle finger the other night making pasta and the blister broke this morning making for further unpleasantness

I communicated on FB with a co-worker this morning and 1.) My desk is unmolested indicating I still have a job. 2.) Her sup texted her this morning he got the word our last day is 04/21/2017 - and we have to be gone by 3:00 So I guess more paid time off is in our future. Well. minus what unacrued PTO I have taken so far in the final pay out mix.

Tang has been by my side the whole time which has been nice. It's been nice outside so he's had some balcony time. In a bit I will give him his supper and settled in. He is well.

Been another busy day here at the homestead, but thankfully nothing technology related. My precious Noah decided to start the day around 8:30 a.m. shortly after I got up¸ and he has been keeping me faithful company with all the chores and projects that have required my attention. Yesterday evening I was able to get the laundry out of the dryer. Now I just need to put the items where they belong. Much to my surprise the yard work crew were here this morning to do the first mowing and clearing of the leaves that were blown back into the yard for the past month with all the gusty winds we had. It's nice to be settled down for a bit now with my precious boy next to me until it's time to get him some lunch.

Both Siamese and Tux Jr came bounding over to me at the 1st feeding post this morning. But Only Tux dug right in while Siamese hung back a ways. I also saw Little Gray on my way out to the bus stop and she seemed in a good mood and she did some “rolls”

Tang was also in good spirits this morning and we managed about 30 minutes of snuggle time before I had to finish getting ready for work. More on how he’s doing when I get home. My finger is doing better but it hurt to try to put a bandage on it this morning. I guess that means it’s healing.

The next waive of the “demolition” crew was in here tearing up more desks this morning. It was strangely cathartic. The clock is counting down to 04/21 thank heaven (I’d thank pitch forks and pointed hears if I thought it would help) For now I’m just counting down the time to the end of this day. Then I can think about getting home to my special boy.

Sent an email to Noah's primary veterinary care provider that I would not be able to bring him into the office for his check up next month and asked for her guidance as to what to do. Received a call this morning from one of the techs letting me know that Noah's doctor would be very happy to come here to do his exam. So Noah's doctor and one of the techs will be here on 5/11 around 11 a.m. to do his exam. Needless to say this takes a huge concern off my mind. However, the telephone ringing did disturb my precious Noah's sweet slumbers, but he has enjoyed the sunbeams through the big door windows and is now settled comfortably next to me take a nap as I'm writing to you.

It's been a busy day here at the homestead. Had some financials to take care. Usually get an email alert that my electric bill can be accessed online but didn't get an alert this month. It's fortunate I was able to realize this so that I could schedule a payment on time as the pain medication keeps my brain in a fog it's hard to focus and remember things. The yard contractor was here as well doing mowing and other yard maintenance. Have a delivery from WalMart that's expected to arrive sometime today as well. My precious Noah was up for the day around 10 a.m.. He has been keeping me company with all my activities. Soon it will be time to get some lunch in his bowl, which I know will make him very happy. The reason I cannot take my precious Noah to his doctor's office for his check up is because I'm in too much pain to drive.

After my precious boy roused for the day and greeted me at the desk, I did some chores and am now thankful for a few minutes rest with my precious boy comfortably settled next to me before it's time to get him his lunch. My regular volunteer will be here in about a half hour or so, so I'll need to get him his lunch earlier today.

Tang was in fairly good spirits this morning, but due to unforseen circumstances we had no cuddle time I'll make it up to him though. More on how he's doing when I get home.

This morning while provisioning I saw one of the tabbies at the 1st post and Little Gray up toward the 3rd. Always nice to see at least some of them.

Like you said, one day closer to Friday then just one more week. I checked ADP for the following week and the 40 hours are already keyed. So for now I am counting down my time until the end of this shift. Then I can think about getting home to my special boy.

Not much happening around the homestead here today, which is nice for a change. My precious Noah was awake when I finished getting ready for the day. He has kept me company during the various chores and is now settled comfortably next to me as I'm writing to you.

Yes, just 5 more days to go not counting today. My lady friend and I are both looking forward to having that week off with pay to just decompress. I'm now counting down to the end of this day and the end of the penultimate week here. then it's on to Dollar Tree and home to my precious boy.

This morning I saw Siamese at the first post. Later doing laundry I saw Tux Sr, Bobtail, White Cat and Little Gray. Quit a turnout

After laundry I did my grocery shopping at Save a Lot and was home by 9:30ish. The rest of the day has been spent with Tang and my lady friend. He not only doesn't run from her now, he gets right up in her lap demanding to be petted. He will also accept food from her; both good signs.

It's too hot for Tang to have balcony time, but he had some this morning before it got that way. He's had his supper and is settling in. He is well.
