Hi, Tracy, cloudy damp coolish T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm smiling at your precious fur tribe's elation of having you home for your weekend together. They know the routines and also count the days you're at work until they know when you will be home with them again.
Like your employer, my previous employer also invented ways to "inspire" employees to improve their performance. One of their methods was to issue "stars" to employees who went "above and beyond" to help other employees or patients. At first this "incentive" was for all employees, and then it disintegrated to be for the chosen few "elite." So I can understand your feelings about the balloons. My previous employer's management also introduced the "Disney" work ethic where employees would be "sanctioined" for not smiling (the managers had read a book about the Disney work ethic). At least management did not demand that the clinical and office staff dress in Disney costumes.
The weather is still too damp to work outside - - so no yard work today. My precious Noah is comfortably settled beside me with his paws over his face as if to say, "let me know when the sunbeams return." Earlier I did see a squirrel out and about in the yard looking for a mid-morning snack. Otherwise even the woodland residents are getting weary of the cloudy damp weather. I keep encouraged though that the "sun will come out tomorrow" - - one of these days.
I hope you were able to get your chores and errands done early this morning so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy most of this day together, and will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, as well as the waifs under your loving provision, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.
Peace and blessings,

Hello moon beam. Cloudy, warm and humid TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I feel your frustration over the weather - seems like we didn't even have a spring. Chuckling at Noah with paws over eyes; my kids do that too
Got up at 5:30 to get laundry started, give Tang his insulin, and feed the waifs. I only saw Grumpy Cat this morning and just a little while ago. I wonder if that lady has spirited the others off to the shelter
Laundry was good with no people in there. I got the bus to Save a Lot, but it was late. Turned out OK though, because between that and how long shopping took, I was done about 10 minutes before the 8:50 UPS bus. The driver is the same one that picks me up to go to work during the week and drops me off at the light.
Not much else is going on here. Just chilling with Theresa and Tang, who are both well. I had a weird dream during my nap. I was living in a mobile home that kept jumping off it's spot and rolling out of control down a steep hill into traffic . Probably an allegory for how helpless I feel in real life
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I hope you and your precious fur family are being able to enjoy this day together - - perhaps some balcony time, too.
Got about an hour's later start to the mowing project in the back yard than what I wanted but got the job done. After a time out in the garage I was also able to do the trimming in the front yard that I was not able to do last week because it was just too hot to do it after I finished the mowing - - which was the priority. I have had my shower, the big door is open and gated, and my precious Noah is letting me know that it is now time for his lunch - - so will get this off to you. Looking forward to getting my lunch, too, and settling down to watch the Belmont race - - we may have a new Triple Crown winner this year.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, as well as the waifs under your loving provision, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear you and he could have the big door open today, I'm sure that raised both your spirits. Wishing the best of luck to American Pharoh in the Belmont.
Got an early start today to give Tang his insulin, fresh food and water for he and Theresa, and food for the waifs. I did can food for the latter this morning and it was quite popular. So much so, I had to come back up for another bowl. Siamese got to the first bowl fair and square, and I tried to guide Tux and Lulu to the other bowl but they only cared about the first one (sigh) Next thing I know, Lulu is chasing Siamese through the parking lot with growls and howls. But Mine have been living together in the same apartment for over 4 years, and they still square off from time to time. Not over food over toys, but me - which I will never understand. Putting out dry food just a while ago, I saw a white butterfly - not once, but twice. Thank you Sir Thomas
Theresa and Tang are both well, and we have enjoyed cuddles, purrs, and kisses for most of the day. It was cool enough for balcony time this morning if not now. I also discovered I have the Smithsonian channel on cable. I found it on on-demand and searched the guide online. It's in 900 range of HD. I don't have an HD TV but I do have an HD box. Always something interesting on there 24/7 with no infomercials - ever.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

YAY!!!!! We have a Triple Crown winner! I'm so happy for them......
Hi Tracy...Good Caturday evening to you Lt. Tang, and Princess Theresa. I hope you all had a good day......I have been seeing a few butterflies here lately. I saw a small Monarc on my small butterfly bush on the patio this week. Mostly I see small white ones.
Fluffy and Socks still come by for food, especially breakfast. We don't see a lot of cats like we used to. They passed the TNR program for the city also recently, so maybe they have been picked up. I read that they have around 50 waiting to be operated on. I'm kind of worried about Fluffy, her belly is so big. I hope we don't end up with a bunch of little Fluffies.
Tomorrow is "White Collar's" 2nd year angel-versary. The little waif that passed away in one of our shelters on the carport. I keep remembering how she was looking toward the door when she died. So sad.
Well Tracy, I'm running late tonight, I want to go watch "Wonder Woman". Yep, I'm just a kid inside.

Have a cozy evenng with your precious furbabies and a good work week.....God Bless....TTFN

Hello LMM. Good Caturday evening to you, hubby and the waifs. Good to hear about American Pharoh.
Thank you for sharing White Collar's Angelversary. Monday will the 4 1/2 year mark for Sir Thomas. I hope they have met up in the perfect world.
Glad to hear Socks and Fluffy still come around. If Fluffy is pregnant, I'm sure she will come by for nourishment. As long as she keeps up her strength, she can provide for the kittens. Do you know of anybody that might want to adopt them?
Chuckling at you wanting to go watch Wonder Woman on Me-TV (we get it here too) I'm still a big fan. I was about 12 when it premiered.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your news. I hope you, hubby and the waifs have a good evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
It sounds like the community waifs are thriving under your provision and protection. Your beloved Sir Thomas is very proud of you for doing this, my friend.
Not much going on here today - - as Sundays are low key days by design. I did watch the Belmont yesterday and congratulate American Pharoah for his well-earned title. When I saw him win the Preakness 3 weeks ago in the throes of a major rainy downpour on a muddy track looking like he was actually skipping across the finish line in delight I suspected that he may very well have the "right stuff" to challenge Affirmed's record. So now it's on to next year.
My precious Noah and I are enjoying having the big door open and gated again today, and my precious boy is settled comfortably next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy afternoon and evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear you could have the big door open to appreciate nature's splendor again today. Yeah, American Pharoah was all over the newspaper/website today (even though they did spell his name wrong on his cover) They had a party on the waterfront, and lit up the Big Four pedestrian bridge too.
Travels to work didn't bode well for the day when I discovered, while well under way on the bus, I'd forgotten my ID badge to get in the building. The lady at the guard desk was nice and let me in with no fuss though. I also had to get my water from the sink instead of the filter fountain, and I had to remain in the call center for my break (I didn't want to try to follow anybody else in)
It turned out to be a dead day in call volume though. Up until about 11:00 that is, but it cleared out enough for early release at 11:30 exactly giving me just enough time to get the 11:45 UPS bus. It was 5 minutes late, but not many people on it, so I was getting off at my stop at 12:30 exactly. I didn't see any waifs, but still put out food - and water because it's so hot and humid.
Theresa and Tang are both well, I happy to say and provided cuddles for a nap on the couch. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy...Good Sunday evening to you and furbabies.....Thank you for sharing Sir Thomas' angel-versary with us. I'm sure he has met up with White Collar and play together. I saw a little white butterfly this evening while sitting on the patio. That is Angel Mickey's way of sending us his love. Or maybe it was White Collar thanking us for taking care of him. About Fluffy, if a cat has kittens the local humane society takes them and gets somebody to foster them until they are old enough to be adopted.
I was quite a bit older than 12 when Wonder Woman started. I didn't get to watch it last night because the ME channel had disappeared. We watched some old Andy Griffiths on another channel. I also saw the bird story one day that you mentioned. They portray Andy as a good father. Anyway I scanned the TV this morning and got the ME channel back. Now I can watch Columbo tonight.
I think the cable people were messing with the cable. They're always "improving" something.
Have a great night with your little furbabies and a good work week. ...God Bless......TTFN

Hi LMM. Good Sunday evening to you, hubby and your waifs Fluffy and Socks.
If she is preggers, I hope she and the kittens will be cared for. Just doing what you are doing can make all the difference sometimes. Bless you and hubby for that. I think the butterflies are from Mickey and White Collar both - as well as all the others you have helped that may have crossed the bridge.
You didn't miss much on Wonder Woman. It was from the 2nd or 3rd season - I feel that after they set it in the 70s after the 1st was during WWII, it didn't have the same magic. I'm glad you found ME-TV again though.
Thanks for stopping by to share your doings. I hope you all have a great evening

Hi, Tracy, cloudy stormy at the moment Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad you did not encounter any problems yesterday without your ID badge - - been there done that from time to time during my employment years. And I'm glad your travels went well and that you were granted an early release - - an indication that you are not forgotten for this benefit.
Today has been busy on the big desk top doing the security updates and scans which haven't been done since last Wednesday, 6/3. The day started out with sunbeams but storms have now come into the area. So far they are not severe so Noah and I are enjoying having the big door open and gated enjoying the freshness of the air. My precious boy has had his lunch and mine will soon be ready.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy afternoon and evening. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy, cooler but still humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear you could have the big door open for another day - I'm sure Noah appreciates it.
We were supposed to have some nasty storms right about now, but it looks like they may have passed us by. Work was slow for a Monday topping out at 150 in the queue and emptying out by the time I got back from lunch at 12:45. No early release though. Apparently the apocalypse is neigh according to the email my sup sent out. I was one of only 2 people on our team to make 6 metrics this week, and had the highest OPS score on the team at 3.55

Even my saves were a whopping 55% (how much do you want to bet a certain director will be investigating that with a fine tooth comb)
Travels home were not bad as my bus picked me up on time, but it didn't stay that way. Still only lost about 7 minutes by the end, which isn't bad for a Monday. Tonight's feeding gave me Lulu, Grumpy Cat, and the green eyed tux I haven't seen in a while. I had no takers in the farther colony, but someone had put food in the container I'd put water in and another container full of water; I put out my food and topped off the water. Sharing wasn't on the menu back at the closer colony, so I put out another bowl. I wonder if this "confuses" their pecking order? Just trying to be fair, I have plenty. I topped of their water too.
Theresa and Tang are both well I'm always pleased to report. Theresa didn't stir from the couch for a while but finally came around demanding her "daddy hugs"

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
CONGRATULATIONS on your scores, my friend!!! I hope "whoever" may review them will graciously give you the credit you deserve - - and have well-earned.
I'm smiling at your precious little girl. In many ways she reminds me so much of my beloved Abbygayle - - who was a "princess" during her earthly journey as well - - and KNEW IT!!!
As you may remember my precious Noah had his dental cleaning procedure today. I received a call from Dr. Bolen around 12:30 p.m. letting me know that he came through the procedure just fine and is in recovery. Thankfully this time he did not require any tooth extractions (he has 3 teeth missing on the right side of his mouth from previous dental cleanings that required extractions). She has given him an antibiotic to help prevent any potential infections from the procedure, and she did a post-surgical blood glucose test with his blood sugar levels at 123 - - still well within the acceptable levels. So - - this is all very positive news. I will be able to pick him up anytime after 3 p.m..
So, while my precious boy is in hospital today, I was able to run a couple of quick errands and then focused on giving the bathroom a thorough cleaning / vacuuming, as well as finally got the steps to the basement living quarters vacuumed, and did some spruce-up vacuuming as well.
I wanted to let you know how my precious Noah is doing, and to thank you for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Sunny, hot but less humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm so happy to hear Noah's dental procedure went well and didn't lose any teeth this time. Tom lost about 3 or 4 during his time with the dental plan. I'm glad to hear his BG levels are good too!
Thanks for the congrats on my score. "Whoever" is just too busy with other nonsense to notice, or you can bet he'd be tearing into my scores. Such as another round of Plinko. But at least this time they only took a few at a time. I still don't report mine, and chuckle at the newbies on saves prancing around every time they, well, DO THEIR JOB (save). I'm waiting for one of them to throw their % at me so I can say "Really? that's pretty good. Let me know when you get to 55%"
Travels home were later than yesterday at 15 minutes late - just no winning there (sigh) Someone else has been looking after the waifs. The colony just off the office had the plastic bowl full as well as my paper one - that can't be lefter over from last night. And full water bowl. Same with the colony by me (including the water), but I did put out one extra food bowl because there are more waifs by me.
Theresa and Tang are both well, I'm always happy to report. Two nights in a row for "daddy hugs" Yes, she is the princess and knows it

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah (again, so glad his dental work went well) and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant Wednesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
It sounds like you are setting an excellent example to others in your area to become more aware of the needs of the community waifs, and your beloved Sir Thomas is so very proud of you in your endeavors to provide and protect those who cannot do it for themselves. You, and LoveMyMickey, are an inspiration for me as to what I may be able to do when my precious Noah is no longer physically with me.
My precious boy is doing well today. Last night he was still "under the influence" of the anesthesia - - very restless - - difficulty getting settled. Eventually - - I think out of sheer exhaustion - - he came to settle next to me in bed and we both fell asleep together. He was absolutely famished last night when I gave him something to eat - - gave him about 2/3 of a 5.5 ounce can of his low glucose maintenance food - - which is more than what he normally gets in a serving - - but he was totally starving. Not surprising since he hadn't had anything to eat for about 24 hours. This morning he ate his regular breakfast serving with gusto and seemed satisfied afterward. Also this morning I took down the gates to the basement living quarters steps so that he could have access to the upstairs if / when he wants it. I think he did go upstairs for a few minutes while I was working on the big desk top but seems contented to stay close to me. We have the big door open and gated today.
Have been working on some financials today scheduling the last online payment for bills due this month. The bank statement will be available next week to do the "balance-a-thon" with the checkbook. The big desk top is going through its security updates and scans now, and I'll be able to shut it down when those are done.
It is a low key day here which is a welcome change to yesterday's activities. When I got up to get Noah his breakfast this morning around 6 a.m. I told him there would be no "excursions" today - - and hopefully none needed until his next checkup in November.
Soon it will be time to get some lunch for my precious boy, so will get this off to you.

Another sunny and hot day's greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sounds like your boy really was hungry. I'm glad to hear he's settling back in after his vet visit an that he could enjoy the view with the big door open.
Work would have been slow but for the internet connection crashing for about 45 minutes in the afternoon piling up the calls in queue almost 100 deep

We spent the better part of my shift clearing them out. Travels home were a bit more timely today, however.
Thanks for the props on mine and LMM's efforts for the waifs. I hope Noah is with you for many years to come, but don't let that stop you. You'd be amazed at how good it feels to do this little thing. Who ever my "helper" is, they were on the ball again today. All I had to do was bring a bowl of water to the closer colony as there was food in the one I'd been using; the 2nd colony was good to go on both. I just saw a tux and Lulu this time around.
Theresa and Tang are both well and glad to see me. I wasn't thinking when I bent down to pet Theresa and she sniffed my hands - I'd petted Lulu a bit and she was not pleased with that scent. She looked at me like a cheated on spouse. I assured her she's still my little girl, and all is well (after her can food)
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It is always a blessing sharing your news that your precious companions, and you, are thriving.
I can relate to your precious Theresa's reaction to the scent of Lulu on your hands. Whenever I have come in contact with another fur person, it has deeply wounded my precious Noah's heart. And I still remember his total rejection of me when I tried to introduce a baby brother 4 months after his beautiful baby sister Abbygayle joined the angels. My precious Noah is my first and only priority right now. If I have the financial ability and good health after he joins his baby sister in eternal joy, I will then try to follow your and LoveMyMickey's wonderful example.
Not much happening around the homestead today. My precious Noah has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages warming on the stove. I know you are already looking at the clock counting down the minutes to when you can begin your trek homeward to your precious companions who are eagerly anticipating having you home for the weekend. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and very hot greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both doing well. I can understand how much Noah is your top priority (Theresa and Tang are still mine) It's too bad he rejected the baby brother though. I know I feel better knowing mine have each other for company while I'm gone.
Today was a roller coaster in terms of call volume. In the end it was busy enough for the whole afternoon to prevent early release. These people really need to get a life. Travels home were timely (if hot an sweaty; my fruit bars half melted) The far colony was "fully stocked" but I put out fresh water and a bit more food for the one near me. Only Lulu was braving the heat today, I didn't see any others.
Theresa and Tang are both well, although I was too hot and sweaty for "daddy hugs" But she didn't insist - I guess even with the AC the heat can get to them as well. But then, this is the same little girl who I had to force inside from the 100 heat last summer

Both have had their fill of fresh food an water and are settling in. Funny how they are more mellow than a usual Thursday evening though.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes sunny humid T G I F greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get errands done yesterday on your way home, and hope you were able to get your chores / errands done early today so that you and your precious fur family can enjoy most of this day together. Yeah, even our precious companions "feel the heat" when temps and humidity levels rise. I'm glad you're seeing at least one of the community waifs letting you know they are still around. When it's hot and humid the others probably wait until the evening to venture out of their refuges.
Received an e-mail notice that my bank statement is ready to print off so will do that tomorrow when I have the big desk top fired up - - which means that I will be working on the checkbook "balance-a-thon" at some point in time. It's too humid today to have the big door open, so my precious Noah is keeping me faithful company next to me as I'm writing to you instead of being stretched out on his big window bench.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear the conditions don't allow to have the big door open. It's the same here in regard to balcony time. It was already 79 when I got up at 5:30 to do laundry
There was just one guy finishing up drying and nobody else to bother me. I put out wet food for the waifs this morning and saw Lulu, of course. But I also saw BOTH tux cats playing too (A rare sight to see them both together) My bus going to the store was 10 minutes late. This caused me to have to walk home as I wasn't going to wait 20 minutes on the next UPS bus. Still it's nice getting there right when they open - in and out with no lines.
The rest of the day has been relaxed. I tend to sleep a lot on my days off, which is no surprise considering my brutal schedule Monday through Wednesday; barely get 6 hours sleep those nights. No wonder I'm dragging by Thursday. It's gotten so bad, I caught myself mumbling my "I hate this (bleeping) job" mantra when I was in the store
Theresa and Tang have been wonderful company with cuddles and purrs

I'm finding he's more social toward me in the mornings, while she is in the evenings. Both bases covered I guess. Both are doing well, I'm always glad to report.

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm sorry you had to walk home yesterday from your errands, but am glad you and your precious fur family were able to enjoy most of the day in leisurely comfort. I'm so smiling at the "system" your precious Theresa and Tang have developed in their "social interaction" with you. Indeed, our companions "confer" with one another about who gets what and when and how.
Since it has been consistently hot and humid here for several consecutive days - - and in going upstairs yesterday evening to get some supplies out of the upstairs freezer I looked at the thermostat temp and saw that it was registering around 85 degrees. Since it was still feeling on the hot stifling side this morning I decided to turn on the central AC to the upstairs unit. I set the thermostat to 80 degrees and 3 hours later the air here in the basement living quarters is beginning to feel much better so I'm sure things are better upstairs as well. When I go out to get the mail later this evening I will probably turn off the AC. I try to run it as sparingly as possible to help keep my electric bill manageable.
Was able to print off the bank statement this morning and have successfully reconciled the statement with the checkbook. YEA!!! So now I'm ready to work on the "bill-a-thon" for July in a couple of weeks. My precious Noah is doing well and is settled next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you.

I hope you are both well, brutally stifling weather permitting. Summer is off to a vicious start and its not even officially begun. I run my AC at 76 and notice it is coming on more frequently than usual. LG&E recommends 78 - I tried 77 and couldn't stand it, even with fans.
Yes, it's funny the "system" my babies have for getting their "share" of attention. Since I'm bagged out on the sofa on my days off, it's generally "first come, first served"
I got up at about 5:00 on my own this morning, about an hour ahead of the alarm. At least this time I didn't fall asleep with my glasses on like the night before. I tried my best to pop the lenses back in, but that left one just would't stay in. So, I had to rummage around for the ones that had been my main pair. Even being a bit out of alignment, they still seem to fit better than the others. Time for new ones I guess as I've had these 12 years; not even sure if I have optical insurance
I took care of my kids, then put food/water out for the waifs. Someone continues to well maintain the far colony; I still check it and contribute when I see the need. Closer to home I saw Lulu and the Tux siblings (again) one of whom started following me
The rest of the day has been relaxed with Theresa and Tang, whom are both doing well (even their ears) Both even ate (at least some) of their can food too

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Sunday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sorry about your glasses which can be expensive to replace. I hope your insurance policy offers some form of vision coverage but that is usually "optional" these days requiring an additional premium.
Not much happening around the homestead today - - another low key Sunday. My precious Noah is on his bathroom window perch napping the day away. Running the central AC yesterday for a few hours helped a lot. Temps and humidity levels are forecasted to be in the "tropical" range for most of this week so I'm sure I will be running the central AC to the upstairs unit again before the week is out.
Looking at the clock you are probably well on your way in your travels home to your precious fur family who are eagerly anticipating your arrival. I hope today treated you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
Work was up and down and conditions right for early release, but it didn't come until 11:45. This did me no good in getting an earlier bus home, but allowed to me to take my time and a more scenic route to the bus stop. The ride home was timely and uneventful. I saw no waifs, but topped off the food and put out fresh water.
Theresa and Tang are both well and have provided excellent company. I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut this short. Between the heat, humidity, and a fitful nap, I'm feeling a bit queasy.

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm sorry you were not feeling well yesterday evening. Indeed, weather can be a culprit in how we physically feel. Hope you were able to get a good night's rest so that you can feel up to going into work today.
Have begun the process of looking over information on Medicare supplement plans that I have received so far and I cannot believe the monthly premiums. To me they are outrageous. Combined with the monthly Medicare premium I could be paying as much as I am now for my basic ACA medical plan. Am glad I am beginning this review now so that I can make some decisions by the end of the year.
My precious Noah is doing well. The hot humid weather does not permit comfortable cuddles. He is on his bathroom window perch taking a nap as I'm writing to you. It was an early rise day this morning because neither of us could get "settled" for a nap together after I got Noah his breakfast. Perhaps I can settle down and do some reading after I get this off to you. Not much happening around the homestead - - just "lying low" staying cool as the temps and humidity levels rise. We may have triple digit heat indices over the next few days, so will be keeping the activity levels as minimal as possible.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam, Another hot and humid day's greetings (climate change, anyone?) to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, considering. I know all about "too hot to cuddle" as I have to tell Miss Theresa on these days. As for the ACA, I really think we got messed over with all the "loopholes" the insurance industry found.
Thanks for the well wishes. I did feel better after a decent night's sleep, not that I would have had any choice about going into work whether I felt up to it or not

It was a typical Monday topping out at 200 in queue and not falling until after 3:00. No early release. I was top performer is OPS scores again this week with one other. I emailed the sup back I have a reason for it if he ever wants to hear it. Doubtful, but I'll tell you. I hate this job with a passion, and say/think it to myself dozens of times per day. And yet, I strive to this level of performance. Common wisdom of "leadership" would be "Despite it all, he works hard to be a top performer. We should try to see what we can do to hold on to him." Right? WRONG! I'm doing this to prove ALL business decisions are made based on the personal feelings of the leaders. Pure and simple. Between that and all the stupid, irresponsible things the director says, I'll own him when it's time to finally quit. <end of rant>
Bus home was late (as usual) Only waif I saw was one of the Tux kitties and he/she was glad for the food AND the water (the other colony was fully stocked already) Theresa and Tang are well. Both ate their can food tonight. I have a new trick (for however long it works) I deliberately pass Tang up, both bowls in hand, and give Theresa hers first. Then I give him his

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
CONGRATULATIONS on your scores, my friend. You should be proud of yourself for striving to excel in a job atmosphere that offers little / no encouragement. As you apply for positions elsewhere you can prove your ability to rise above the challenges and exceed expectations. Just keep doing the great job you're doing, and continue to keep your options open for other opportunities.
Turned on the central AC to the upstairs unit this morning to run for the day. My precious Noah is feeling more comfortable with the AC running and is curled up next to me as I'm writing to you. I can only imagine what it is like to be wearing a fur coat in this heat and humidity.
Yesterday afternoon I could not access any of my programs on the British ACORN TV channel through my Roku box. Kept getting an error message that the video could not load and to try again in a few minutes. So after 2 hours of this I e-mailed the tech folks at ACORN, and whatever the problem was earlier had been resolved by the time I accessed programs in the evening. I really like the British programs.
As always, my friend, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Another hot and humid day's greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well and finding ways to keep cool. I too worry about my kids and the fur coats in this heat. I've been keeping my AC at 77 with fans and am getting used to it. I'll briefly notch it down to 76 when I get home though.
Thanks for the encouragement with work. They are coming back around with the after call and hold time harassment again though. I always come back with if taking as many calls as possible is so important, whey do you care about handle time? Why did you take 30 people off the phones with 100 calls in queue? Funny, they never seem to have an answer for that. They push, I push back. Not like I'm going anywhere there anyway. I'll keep being a fly in their ointment
Travels home were a bit more timely today. The far colony needed a food top off and fresh water, so I took care of them; even saw 3 waifs waiting too. Closer to me, I only saw Lulu while provisioning their food and water.
Theresa and Tang are both well, as I'm always happy to report. My "trick" on the can food worked again tonight too

This time is was Tang (on the bed) who smelled Lulu on my hand. He reacted differently though; almost intrigued. I explained to him she's a girl tabby that lives mostly outside because her mean mommy won't let her inside. And that's why I bring her and the others food and water. He looked at me almost as if to say "Good for you dad" Like I always say, they DO understand us.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful and cool evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm humid Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It's always a blessing sharing with you how your precious fur family, you, and the community waifs are doing.
It wasn't too warm this morning after Noah got his breakfast so he came to snuggle a little bit and we both took a nap together for awhile. It was a later rising for me however, and when I woke up my precious Noah had gone to his bathroom window perch at some point in time. When he heard me finally get up he came to greet me with his rubs and purrs.
Got an e-mail last week from AVG about updating their security programs for W 10 - - which I understand - - however, the wording confused me about it continuing to offer updates for W7 and other operating systems. So I "chatted" with an AVG tech rep this morning who reassured me that security programs will continue to be offered for W7 and other operating system users. So, this is good news and takes a concern off my mind. The security updates and scan are going on the big desk top and will be able to shut it down when that is completed.
Otherwise it is another low key day due to the warm humid temps. We did get a bit of a thunderstorm last night that threatened to shut off the power, but the power flicked back on before the emergency generator began its backup service. I'm so glad I have that generator. My precious Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know mine is now ready, so will get this off to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello noon_beam. Warm and humid with scattered thunderstorms greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Smiling at you both spending some quality time in the morning with lower temps. Glad to hear you were able to get your security programs squared away. Also glad to hear your power was not out long enough to need the generator; but it's good you have it. Still able to get your Acorn-TV shows OK?
Had a team huddle this morning and it was pleasing to sit back and let everybody else vent about our lousy upper management. I just looked at my sup as if to say "Did I hold up a cue card?" Now he can deal with the fact it's not just me
Travels home ended up being 20 minutes late due to downtown traffic; I'm pretty sure this is why I get so little sleep Mon-Wed. There was a nasty storm on the way home that cleared up in time for me to step off the bus. The food in the second colony was damaged by the rain, as was what was left in the bowl closer to me. I put out fresh for both and the rain provided fresher water than what comes out of my sink I'm sure. I saw Gray Tabby, Lulu, and boy (I think) Tux whose staring to follow me around a bit.
Theresa and Tang are both doing well, I'm always happy to say. My can food "trick" didn't work on Tang tonight, but Theresa stepped up and cleaned both bowls

One more day in the Pit of Despair before I'm off again (sigh)

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
You must have had a feeling of vindication during yesterday's meeting when the other employees voiced their similar dismay about upper management. One person's voice can easily be discounted - - united voices not so easily. I am so glad you have silently obtained support from the other employees (as you did not actively solicit their opinions) and that their opinions are now on record with the supervisor during a group meeting. Just keep doing the great job you're doing, my friend, and continue to keep your options open for opportunities elsewhere. Please let us know how things go.
We had two rounds of boisterous thunderstorms come through the area and directly over the homestead yesterday evening. Both storms threatened to shut down the main power but were not successful. However, I have the digital clocks to re-set today. We may get the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill sometime this weekend, and temps are forecasted to continue to be hot and humid over the next several days into next week. The yard work continues to be on hold.
Not much going on around the homestead. My precious Noah is doing well. He is on his bathroom window perch settling in for a nap as I'm writing to you.

Hello moon_beam. Stormy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Glad to hear the storms didn't knock out your power.
Yes, it's nice to know I'm not alone in my disgust for the boy who would be king. Bit by bit, subtly I will expose him for the arrogant, lying, manipulative tyrant he really is, It was a dead day and VTO came at 3:15. I caught the 3:45 UPS bus, made my Dollar Tree stop, and (ironically) caught the next UPS bus that is the one I normally take when I don't get VTO on Thursdays.
The skies opened up pretty much as I was getting to my apartment. I got pretty wet, but not drenched. It;s still churning out there, so I'm not sure I will be able to feed the waifs tonight

Theresa and Tang are both well, but a bit on edge from the storm, rather than their usual exuberant selves on Thursday evening. They seem calm now for the moment though.

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Friday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get your errands done and get home before getting totally drenched in the rain. Don't worry about not being able to get food out in the bad weather as the community waifs are probably not venturing forth until the storms pass. They know you will get food to them when you can.
We had two very boisterous thunderstorms come through the area and over the homestead both Tuesday and Wednesday, 6/16 and 6/17, which threatened to cut off the main power, but the power managed to kick back on both times within a couple of seconds. The adage the "third time's the charm" proved accurate as yesterday evening another thunderstorm came through the area which managed to damage a tree somewhere along the grid line that knocked the main power out for about 1.5 hours. I called the power outage number to get an idea as to when the power might be restored and the recording stated it could take about 4 hours. The emergency generator worked beautifully. Thankfully the main power was restored relatively quickly for this area, but having the emergency generator takes a huge concern off my mind that I will continue to have the refrigerator and well working in power outage situations.
My precious Noah is doing well. We have little lizards that sometimes find a way into the basement living quarters. My precious Noah continues to be quite the "hunter" and this morning I had to rescue a lizard from him and managed to get it back outside alive and well. Needless to say he was quite peeved with me for a little bit, but we soon enjoyed rubs and hugs again. My precious boy is on a strict diet - - no supplementation is permitted. Since I denied him his late morning snack of lizard, he is letting me know that his tummy is running on fumes, so will get this off to you so that I can get some lunch in his bowl.
I hope you were able to get your chores and errands done early today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy most of this day together and will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Warm, humid, with occasional rain TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear you lost power, but glad it came on sooner than expected and that you have the generator. Poor Noah being denied his lizard snack. I had a similar situation once with Tom who had "captured" a locust on the balcony one summer night. I'd thought he got another sore on his chin at first. Poor locust was scared to death as I set it free. Tom, on the other hand, was rather indignant.
We actually got a break in the rain after I posted yesterday; down to barely a sprinkle. I looked out and saw the Siamese waiting by the bowls. I figured if he/she could make the effort, so could I. I gave them wet food this morning during laundry, but the raccoon got the helping from the far colony. Bowl and all

Just a little while ago I put some dry food and water out for both places and saw gray tabby and one of the tux cats. The latter sneaking up on me as I bent down to pour the food and water
I got a late start grocery shopping as my UPS bus in was 12 minutes late, for no apparent reason as there were no other riders on there

This created the situation of having to walk home as I wasn't going to wait 20 minutes for the later bus home. I still ended up forgetting a few things, but nothing I can't do without (like salt which I probably should not use anyway)
Theresa and Tang are both well and have provided excellent company. I decided to take the afternoon nap in the bed as it's naturally cooler in there and the regular History channel actually had interesting programming on for a change. I had kitty bookends the whole time
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening (without storms) TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get some food out for the community waifs, and some of your patrons visibly waiting for you and greeting you. I know you feel better when you see them out and about. Have you tried calling them when you're setting out their provisions?
I'm smiling at your beloved Sir Thomas' snack attempt with the locust. I remember when my precious Noah was outside with his beloved adopted big kitty brother Eli and his beloved beautiful baby sister Abbygayle in their younger years. They had managed to catch a baby bunny in their collective "hunt" and were NOT pleased with me when I responded to the bunny's squeals for rescue. Boy did I hear it from all three of them as the baby bunny scampered off into the woods. I was not on their "favorite" list for awhile.
So glad you were able to get your errands done yesterday, although you ended up walking home. I used to do the same thing in my much younger days - - I found walking was as reliable - - if not more so - - than public transportation.
Today was an early rise day so that I could work on mowing the front yard which was beginning to be in need of a major trim. I was outside by 8 a.m. before the sun made its way through the foggy overcast, and managed to get all of the front yard mowed. I needed to take a couple of time outs in the garage after the sun made its way through the foggy overcast, but I still had some shade to work in. Am ever so glad that is done for awhile. I wanted to take advantage of the "cooler" temps today - - in the 80's - - to do the mowing as next week is forecasted to be hot with temps in the 90's every day and heat indices into the triple digits.
After I got my shower I fired up the big desk top to do some financials in preparation for the scheduling of bill payments next week. It is going through its security updates and scans as I'm writing to you and will be able to shut it down when they are done. The rest of the day is going to be devoted to my precious Noah.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Warm and humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished with the yard work today. You may not have been the favorite of Noah, Eli and Abbygayle that day. But you taught them that it's not nice to be bullies. I've had to be the "bad guy" a few times stopping mine from the hunt of the small critters.
It was raining pretty steadily when I woke up on my own a little after 4:00 this morning. But sometime after 5:00, we had a break in the rain and for most of the day. So I put out provisions then, about 12:30 and just a little while ago. I saw Gray Tabby, Lulu, and one of the Tux kitties early this morning. Calling out to them may not be in our best interest as that would just draw attention from the certain nasty neighbors. And they are why I try to do things on the QT, only being overt in defense of the waifs.
The temp on my computer says 82, but with all this rain it feels like a sauna outside. Theresa and Tang are both well, I'm always happy to report. They have been a good source of cuddles and purrs. Only Tang joined me for afternoon nap on the bed, while Theresa staked out the couch. Been hearing strange noises (including a kind of scraping) off an on all day with Theresa and Tang both accounted for in my line of sight. Angel Tom visiting maybe? I did see a few white butterflies throughout the course of my provisioning today.

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot humid Sunday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I can understand you not calling the community waifs. Your attention needs to be providing for them as THEY need it. I know they truly appreciate your provision and protection.
Our beloved companions find various ways to let us know they are still with us, so there is little doubt that yesterday your beloved Sir Thomas was letting you know he is still with you.
Only received brief rain showers over the homestead from the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill yesterday afternoon which helped to briefly cool temps down into the 70's - - the trek to the mailbox yesterday evening was most pleasant. Today is definitely a low key day here at the homestead for my precious Noah and me. Speaking of my precious boy he is settled next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you.
Looking at the clock - - hopefully - - you are now home with your precious fur tribe to enjoy the rest of this day together. Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
Work was slow - like all day slow. maybe it being Father's Day had something to do with it. VTO wasn't called until 11:45 (I swear she does that on purpose) so it didn't help with getting an earlier bus. That bus was 7 minutes late picking me up and ran considerably later dropping off a wheelchair/scooter and picking one up - neither owner of which had a clue how to operate them. Then a guy who was so drunk he could barely stand held us up asking the driver all sorts of incoherent questions. I'm surprised (and a little angry) she even let him on.
The only waif I saw (briefly) was Grumpy Cat while putting out food and water. Closer to home, Theresa and Tang are both well and provided snuggles for my all to brief nap. I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth it on Sundays as disoriented as I feel waking up from them - especially with this heat and humidity. Both were good and ate their can food though. Not much else going on.

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm humid Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sorry your travels home yesterday were not timely. The important thing is that you arrived home safely to your precious companions who are always ecstatic to have you home whenever you get home. Persistent heat and humidity can make sleeping / napping uncomfortable and cause physical reactions such as disorientation upon awakening. Extreme persistent temps - - hot or cold - - do cause physical and emotional reactions. So please know what you're feeling is normal. It would be nice if we had some of this warmer weather moderating the colder winter temps - - and vice versa - - so that the summer and winter temps would not be so uncomfortably extreme.
Have been working on scheduling bill payments online this morning and logging payments into the financial log book. Just have one more bill to pay when I get the invoice - - the electric bill. I also took time to update my address contact book including the new address, telephone number, and hours for Noah's doctor. Have the desk top going through its security updates and scan now and can shut it down when that is finished.
My precious Noah is doing well. He is on his big window bench surveying the back yard for any woodland visitors. Yesterday afternoon for the first time ever in living here for 19 years we were visited by a flock of big black crows. Noah was fascinated by them.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. What a fascinating surprise for Noah the arrival of the crows! I hope you both enjoyed the new arrivals. I too experienced an unexpected, and less pleasant wildlife appearance which I will get into below.
Today was much better. It was dead after lunch time and this gave me VTO at 4:30, so I could get the 4:45 UPS bus home just ahead of all the traffic

Got another "harass-o-gram" email from sup about ACW and hold. This time I flat out replied I am done with it and am stepping up my efforts to find a new job (and I am) I also replied stating I challenge the sups, ops managers, and director to take calls for one day, or even half a day, with no holds or ACW and see what their AHT and QA looks like (LG&E did this to their credit) No responses of course (because it will never happen) But it made me feel better. My thinking is if they have all the answers telling us what we should do, they should be able to execute 100% dead solid perfect calls, right? But considering the nasty and arrogant way I have heard one of them take sup calls, I doubt it.
Now my wildlife surprise. I came down from the mail boxes to the back path to see gray tabby and her little friend scared to death. Why? Because there was not just the little baby raccoon, but about 5 or 6 full grown ones bullying their way through the food. Turns out I scare them as much as the cat hating dog people (perhaps more) so they scattered. By the time I got back down there with more food and water, I was able to calm down the waifs telling them I got their backs and they proceeded to eat. The older man whose wife also feeds them came out onto his balcony to help keep the bullies away too. I also saw Lulu, a tux cat and (I think) Grumpy Cat.
Theresa and Tang are well and were delighted at my early arrival. They both scarfed down their can food and proceeded to "tell" me about their day
I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful (and cool) evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny hot Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I know the community waifs were ever so thankful for your intervention yesterday with the bully racoons - - who can be quite possessive, and aggressive, when it comes to food. The community waifs are so blessed to have your provision and protection.
I'm sorry this job has turned into a royal nightmare for you, my friend. It seemed promising in the beginning - - as all new jobs do - - because of your high scores on the entrance tests. I'm glad you are increasing your energies on pursuing other employment opportunities. Please let us know how things go.
This morning was an early rise day. I made an early morning errand run to the post office to get some things in the mail today rather than wait another day or so. The severe weather that is coming across the mid-west States is to arrive here today and tonight with the potential for damaging storms. If the homestead is affected by the storms I want to be home with my precious Noah. I have turned on the central AC to the upstairs unit today to freshen up the air a bit, and if the storms materialize later on I will be able to turn it off with the house cooled down.
My precious Noah is doing well keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. Haven't seen the crows since their brief visit Sunday afternoon.
It is always a blessing sharing your news that your precious fur tribe is doing well, my friend. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, as well as the community waifs under your loving provision, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.
Peace and blessings,

Hello moon_beam. Another hot and humid greeting to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I hope the storms pass you by, and if they don't that there is no damage.
Thanks for the kind words about the job. To be honest, It was never promising. As you may recall, I wasn't doing handstands about it, knowing all to well what to expect in call center work. But I was relieved. Still, I didn't expect it to be this bad. We got VTO again and I was able to get the 4:45 UPS bus home - for all the good it did me. Between the overcrowding (where are these people going anyway?) and another wheelchair pick up that didn't go well, we lost about 25 minutes and the mall bus behind us passed us right up. I walked in the door about the same time I would if I took the 5:15 and it was on time
No raccoons to fight off today. Gray Tabby and her little friend were waiting on me as was one of the Tux cats. Miss "animal control" (I really don't think she works there - I think dog jerk sent her to confront me frankly) was out there smoking in 100 degree heat

She didn't say anything to me this time. I really don't trust her; keeping an eye on that one.
Theresa and Tang are both well I'm always happy to report. Tang didn't care for the can food tonight, so Theresa got a double portion. They are both settling in and taking their evening "baths"
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a cool and blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, hot sunny Wednesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It's always a blessing sharing your news that your precious fur tribe, and you, are doing well.
I'm so glad you are seeing some of the community waifs when you're setting out provisions for them. I don't blame you for not completely trusting the woman knowing the animosity toward the precious souls. The waifs are so blessed to have you for their provider and protector.
Not much happening around the homestead today. Thank you for your thoughts regarding the storms forecasted last night. Nothing materialized here at the homestead as the storms' path passed to the north and east of the region. My thoughts and prayers are with those of every life form who are adversely affected by the damage inflicted by the storms.
My precious Noah is doing well. At some point after his breakfast and enjoying some private time upstairs he came back downstairs and settled next to me on the bed for a cuddle nap. It was a treat waking up finding his sweet precious body cuddled next to me. The main AC unit to the upstairs is running today as temps continue to be in the 90's and hopefully I will be able to turn it off this evening. As the next storm event forecasted for tomorrow moves eastward through Virginia temps are supposed to "cool down" into the 80's over the next several days.
As always, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Continued hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well and keeping cool. I hope the storms continue to pass you by. Smiling at your precious boy surprising you with afternoon cuddles

Another slow one at work today with early release at about the same time as yesterday (this is some kind of record) This time I tried a little "experiment" that I was going to try yesterday when I saw that bus walking down to my regular bus stop. I decided to take the express bus that follows a similar route to my #18 but does not go to UPS. It was totally worth the extra dollar and longer walk home. It was quick, clean, quiet and best of all ON TIME! I was walking in my apartments a little after 5:30. I will keep this in mind for when ever I get off around 4:30
I had to leave the waifs in the colony by the office to their own devices tonight

I forgot about the pool party until 7:00, and the manager was right there in a direct line of sight of the feeding area. I decided it was not worth the risk of her seeing me putting out provisions. They did a have a little food already but no water. I didn't see them anyway; I guess the noise of the party scared them into hiding. I did see Tux (who was waiting by the stairs and followed me and rolled over by my feet) and Lulu. Perhaps if they leave any, the far colony waifs can come down and get some. I feel bad for them.
Theresa and Tang are both well and were happy to see me in early. Only Theresa ate the can food again. The pattern with Tang seems to be eating it out of the can and maybe a day or 2 after. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm humid Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
For whatever it may be worth I think you did the right thing in not putting out food during the pool party. The less unwanted attention the community waifs, and you, get the better it is for them and you. They will be just fine until you can get another meal and water to them.
So glad your travels home yesterday were more comfortable for you. It's always a good idea to have an "alternate" travel plan, and am glad the one you found seems to be one to keep in mind.
Not much happening around the homestead today. My precious Noah is doing well and is keeping himself amused on his big window bench looking out the window as I'm writing to you.
In an hour or so you will be having your lunch break, and then it will be just a matter of getting through the rest of the afternoon until you can begin your trek homeward to your precious companions for your weekend together. I remember when I was working the "countdown" for the last day of the work week began the first day of the work week. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, expedient, and cool so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, as well as the community waifs under your loving provision, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Hot and humid greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
Thanks for the reinforcement on the far colony waifs. As it turns out, I took some food and water out for them just after 7:00 when the party was over and before I sat down to watch my Netflix. I had to shoo off baby raccoon, but at least he didn't have his friends with him this time.
Well, it's been a clean sweep for the week in being slow and early release. The UPS bus I took home today started out on time, but then the driver took a detour for road work that had been cancelled, but he didn't bother to check his GPS until after the fact. He doubled back the total wrong direction on Preston for 2 miles to pick up the people he "might have missed" which caused us to be 15 minutes late. In a way, it's a good thing Dollar Tree was out of much of what I buy there (none of which I can't get at Save a Lot tomorrow, thankfully) because I just barely made the next UPS bus home. Tonight I saw Lulu, Tux and Grumpy Cat (and this time the latter didn't run away from me)
Theresa and Tang were quite pleased with my early arrival home, and both are doing well. Tang even joined me for a mini nap on the bed

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful and cool evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes stormy humid T G I F greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I hope you are able to get your chores and errands done early today so that you and your precious fur tribe can enjoy most of this day together.
So glad you were able to get provisions out to the community waifs, and that you were able to see some of them.
Not much going on here today. Noah went upstairs for some private time after breakfast and I couldn't get "settled" in bed for an early morning nap, so I got up around 7:30 to the roar of a brief thunderstorm passing through. When the thunder began my precious Noah came back downstairs to be with me - - neither of us really like thunderstorms. He is settled next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. Showers / storms continue for today's and tomorrow's forecast, so there won't be any yard work done this weekend.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, as well as the community waifs under your loving provision, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. "Wrath of God" type thunder storms TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.
The wee hours of this morning gave us thunder storms, but cleared up by the time I got up do do laundry. There was someone else in the room already and someone else had left their loads in 2 dryers over night (still there when I was done) I was able to use my favorite washers but only 1 of my dryers

I put can food out for the waifs and saw Lulu and Tux.
My bus to the store was on time, but 10 minutes late going home. After a late breakfast, I lay on the couch for a bit before retiring to the bedroom where I ended up with kitty bookends

Speaking of which, Theresa and Tang are both well. Tang used to be afraid of the storms due to his history, but he's getting to a point where he watches them with detached fascination. He still stays close to me doing so though
There was food already out in the far colony a bit ago and I put some out closer. I saw Grumpy Cat and Gray Tabby there (never seen them together before) Not long after though sky literally opened up

If it lets up later tonight, I may check on them.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful (and dry) evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It's always a blessing sharing your news that you and your precious companions are doing well.
So glad your precious Tang is beginning to find confidence that the storms outside are no longer frightening because he is protected from them by the protection of his loving Forever Dad. Both your precious Tang and Theresa are blessed to have you for their Forever Dad.
Printed off a couple of bill payment receipts this morning and the big desk top is now going through its security scans and updates. Storms are in the forecast for today and the radar is colorful in the region but so far none have materialized over the homestead. Am pulling together a grocery list for next week, and my precious Noah is keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. A trek to the mailbox is on the agenda for later on today.

Sunny, warm and not as humid Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and that the storms keep passing you by.
The weather has been fairly cooperative today for the waif feedings both this morning and just a little while ago. I think poor Lulu's "owner" has moved on. She's much more interested in the food than she was before, and the patio of the apartment where she always lays appears to be empty

I will continue to look after her and the others as best I can in Tom's memory. Speaking of which, as I was making my way down from the far colony to the closer one, I was thinking "What, no butterflies today Tom?" And wouldn't you know just then I saw about a 1/2 dozen or so white ones flutter out of the bushes
Closer to home, Theresa and Tang are both well and have provided cuddles and purrs throughout the day. We watched the Science of Cats on Nat Geo Wild. Learned some interesting things I didn't know before. Not much else going on.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN
