Well, the 22nd has rolled around again. It has been exactly a year and a half since you went to be with the Angels in the Perfect World.

It's been a year and a half and I still don't know............

WHY?

Why did you have to go

We had so much left to do,
Walking and playing in the sun.

I look at your pictures,
So many with you in my lap.
Then there we are
On the bed taking a nap.

Life gave us a few bad days,
But most of them were good.
I just hope I appreciated you

Hello Mickey!

Between yesterday and today I saw SIX butterflies!!! They are mostly the white variety now, but they are beautifully pure. Thank you Mickey, Mickey, Gretta, Gretta and Trevor, Trevor! (=6)

Hi My Sweet Mickey!

Isn't that wonderful that Auntie Bobbie saw all those white butterflies? Now that's a lot of LOVE being sent her way. I saw a Monarch a few days ago and they are a good sign. The other day a big ole dragonfly tried to attack me, but I shushed him away. I'm not sure if they're good or not.

Sweet boy, your daddy dreamed that I was handing him a little white dog that looked exactly like you. I thank you for the dream, my little one.

Mommy got leaky eyes today. While I was doing laundry, I was sitting there in the basement looking at the little towel you ate your last meal off of. Another one had ice cream on it. I will never wash them. I just love you and miss you so much.......

My Dear Sweet Little Mickey,

Well, this week is full of memories, today is Tuesday, the day of the week you left us.
Thursday, the 20th, would be your 16th birthday.
Saturday, the 22nd is your 19th month angel-versary.

My Little One, I've been seeing so many little butterflies in our backyard here lately, messages of your love. Saturday afternoon one flew by, lit on my cheek, and left as quick as lightning. Just as if you had given me a kiss. And I thank you for your butterfly kiss.

One request, my sweet one, let's keep Trevor's mommy in our thoughts and prayers, and you be especially kind to Trevor up there in heaven. We love them very much!

Dear Mickey and LoveMyMickey,

Oh, these special days can still recall the pain we feel when we have to physically part company, even though it is temporary. You have so many anniversaries this week. Trevor and I thought about you all day today because it is a Tuesday. And you know what? I went to a special meeting tonight and in their bathroom are hundreds of butterflies on the walls. The wallpaper is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. I think I spent most of my time in there saying Hello! and Thank You! to you and Trevor and Gretta and Mugsy, and Annie and Peanut and Jenna, and of course the incredible team of Crocker, Birney, Kelly, Jasper, Rudy, Spot and Squirt. I couldn't think of any more names, besides I'd spent quite a bit of time in that room already! I'm going to see what the name of the pattern is and who manufacturers it.

Mickey, I just know how you brought your mmmy and daddy the most honest and pure love ever (next to Trevor that is). And they still love and miss you with everything they have. I wish I could have known you here on earth, but I will get to meet you in the future. You are one special, special little guy!

I feel OK today and so am going to bed now so I can have a good day tomorrow, too!

Hi My Sweet Precious Mickey!

Isn't it great to see Gretta's and Trevor's mommies back again? They are sweet friends and have helped your mommy so much during the last months. We love them!


My Little One.....Your daddy and I were on the patio late this afternoon, watering some plants, and giving the birds some water and food. Anyway, daddy said there's a little white butterfly. It flew around close to us and landed close to me on a blade of grass. I said, "I love you, Mickey," and it flew away and circled over your gravesite and then left. Sweet Mickey, thank you for sending your message of love through the little butterfly.......It looked exactly like this one I found on the internet the other day.
It had those two little black spots on it too. Reminds me of your pretty dark eyes.

Well, mommy and daddy have a big anniversary coming up tomorrow. One thing is terribly wrong, you're not here with us. But I'm looking forward to the big celebration we will have when we all meet in your Perfect World, Heaven's Perfect Garden.......My little one, until later, I will say goodnight and rest your little eyes if you need to.

Today would have been your 16th birthday of your earthly journey. And, Oh, what a wonderful journey we had.......We put some little flowers on your gravesite this morning. A real tiny white butterfly flew by.

Oh how I miss giving you some vanilla ice cream, a toy, and your favorite Pupperoni treat.

I have a question: when the weather gets too cold for butterflies (and they have all gone South); what takes their place as messengers from our beloved companions? I am wondering so that I do not miss the obvious. THANKS!

AND, would you do Trevor and me a small favor? If it is still possible, would you look around for a butterfly (not a live one) that can stick in the ground and "flutter" in the air? I would love to send you one so that Mickey could have it at his grave all year 'round. But I do not know your address, etc. and I do not want to invade your privacy. So, if you are up to something like this, let me know so that Trevor and Mickey can look at it every day and smile...........

Hi Bobbie,

I was wondering the same thing, what takes the butterfly's place in the winter. I can only tell you what I have experienced. A very close relative passed away during a cold Jan. about 3 years ago. A robin showed up on our patio (they usually leave during the winter). The robin came by every day and we fed him...........Also several years ago, a close relative got killed. A white dove landed in our back yard, stayed a few minutes, and flew away. We never see white doves in our area normally.........I have read that birds are messengers also, sometimes just a feather.

I'll look around for a garden butterfly. Thank you!

The 22nd has come around again when you joined the angels 20 months ago. The beautiful leaves are falling and I remember you walking in the leaves. Now all I see are the leaves on your little grave. This is the second autumn since you've been gone and I miss you just as much as last autumn, maybe more.........Then I remember you are healthy in Heaven's Perfect Garden where it is always warm, but it doesn't keep me from missing you.

Hi, LoveMyMickey, just stopping by to say hello and to let you know I always enjoy reading your love letters to your beloved Mickey, and sharing your posts with Tracy. I, too, am so glad Blackie is back safe and sound. He has "character" with his "cat-titude" - - reading about him makes me smile. In some ways he reminds me of my number one kitty son Eli who had the nickname during his earthly journey, among many, as being my "challenge child."

I know your beloved Mickey is so very proud of you for doing what you can for the homeless waifs who come to you for comfort and love - - even though they may not let you physically close to them they know your heart - - they know you care for them. And I believe your beloved Mickey guides their paths to you knowing you will do your best for them. In fact you are an inspiration to me for what I might be able to do when my precious Noah is no longer physically with me.

I sincerely hope today is treating you and your husband kindly, LoveMyMickey, and that you will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening blessed with your beloved Mickey's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you.
