For My Beloved Sammy, Loss of my boy Options

Yesterday was the worst of my life in quite a while. I lost one of my beloved ##er spaniels(I have 3). It was so sudden, I had no indication that this would happen. He started hemorrhaging on Wednesday and by Friday he died" we believed he had bit his tonque when he started bleeding. Anyway at this point I go from anger to tears.I cant look at the place that was his favorite place to sleep without crying. I keep seeing his beautiful brown eyes looking at me with such love. I dont really know what to do, I"m lost.

Lynda, I'm so sorry you've had to go thur such a terrible thing.It is never easy to lose a loved one but it is especially hard when it happens suddenly.I know how that feels.My kitty Sox had to be put to sleep back on Oct. 13th because he had kidney failure.It came on very suddenly and we didn't even know he was sick until the day he passed away.You are in shock and are numb right now,that is understandable.I'm glad you found this place because it is filled with wonderful and caring people who have helped me so much to get thur the pain of losing my boy Sox.If you are up to it could you share with us a little bit about your dog? I would like to see a picture when your up to it.The only advice I can give you is to take it one minute at a time and don't look so far into the future.It will get easier to accept as time goes on (I know,people always told me that too but it's honestly the truth) Know in your heart that you gave your boy the best home and family you possibly could and that he knew you loved him.You wouldn't have wanted him to suffer any longer than he had to so at least he is at peace now.He's in a special place that's just for animals called the rainbow bridge.They wait there for us and they have a good ole time there too.How old was your dog? I wish there was more I could say to you to help you feel better.I hope by knowing that you are not alone and that others are thinking of you now will help to ease your pain.My thoughts and prayers are with you today.Please come back often and let us know how your getting along.I care and so do many others.The animal lovers have got to stay together,right? I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious boy. It's such a trauma to have them go like that. I know you are devastated. I know you feel lost, my Mack has been gone 4 months now, and I sometimes still feel lost. When he died I told myself I couldn't go on and I didn't want to, then I remembered that I promised him I would take care of his dad and his sisters.

That promise got me through he first week or so, I found this forum and joined it and I read others posts, but I couldn't make one myself at first, because i couldn't think straight. But just knowing that others knew how badly I hurt, and were going through the same thing has kept me reasonably sane and able to function.

I hope we will be some comfort to you. We know your anger, and we share your tears.

I am glad you found this site and decided to post here. I know that nothing can ease the pain of your loss, but it does help to come here and talk about it. All of us here, are going through the same pain and grief and loss. We truly understand your feelings.

We would enjoy any stories or pictures you would feel up to sharing about your boy when you're ready.

I'm so sorry you lost your Sammy. It's so hard to lose them and the shock of losing one so suddenly is almost more than one can take.

We lost our kitty, Moustache, very suddenly almost 3 months ago. I admire that you can think at all so soon, I couldn't. I think I got here about 3 days after he passed, but then couldn't come back for a while.

One good thing here, you can be angry or sad or whatever you are, and we will listen.

I too would love to hear more about Sammy and see his picture.
