T bird has been gone for a year-and-a-half now. There isn't a day that I don't think about her and miss her a lot. I still don't have many photos of her in digital format, but here is one of them. She loved to hang out in my husband's shirt. She'd crawl in and turn around so she could see what was going on. She knew she was cute and always got lots of attention when she did this:

What a cutie! Thank you for sharing the picture with us. I have never owned a bird but know someone who does and they are thrilled with it. A year and a half... does it ever stop hurting so much?

Oh, this is an absolutely precious picture of your T bird!! (I have a special love for birds, too) I'm so sorry you're still hurting so much about her, but I do understand that. It took me years to get far enough beyond the pain of losing my Sabin, not that it's ever all gone but only more manageable....and now it will probably take me at LEAST as long for my Nissa (both cats). And before that, I had 2 budgies (at different times) and my second one lived to be 8 and died in such pain (no real bird docs back then) that it took me many years until I could bring myself to adopt anyone else, for fear of the heartbreak....and then I got Sabin and Nissa. Now the pain is so great, I'm right back into that dark pit again.

I know it gets easier after a time, but DURING that time.....it's impossibly hard. Please feel free to share more about T bird with us. It might help.
