One Year Ago Today Options

This time last year my dearest Furry was still alive - I have until 4.15 this afternoon to have that thought - then it will be changed to one year ago she died.
I so little realised it was to be her last day - she'd been through so much & was such a fighter that I suppose I kidded myself to thinking she'd get better again. Every thing about her was healthy apart from her poorly heart.
This will be a day of grief - I haven't got to the stage of celebrating all the good times yet - I still feel that I have been robbed of my soul mate.
Furry - I will always love you & think of you till the day I die. Sleep in peace, my best beloved. I will light candles & be beside your grave this afternoon.
Please say a prayer for my Furry today.

Dear Toonie,
Thank you so much for your reply. I've been out trying to keep busy - couldn't go to work though as I can't stop crying today. The rain is endless - crying too. This time last year it was 31 degrees - & I always wonder if it had been cool would she still be here?

JUdith, I was thinking of you the other day remembering you said it was July when Furry died. I am so sorry! I know it's got to be tough...I totally understand all your feelings. I will be thinking of you, I know ahe was your soulmate and the loss you endured.Light a candle from all of us here, too.

God bless you. I remember when you first posted last year because I was going through the same thing after losing Precious (one year as of 06 August). It was so thoughtful of you to do a day of rememberance for your baby Furry. I did the same for mine. I even took off work thinking I would be an absolute mess but amazingly I wasn't. It must be because of the three cats I now have -- Patches and the two four-month-old twins, Tiger/Tigger and Princey (formerly Princess until I found out "she" was a "he"!). They are so much comfort and fun to be with. True, nothing will replace the angel I lost but they are a joy to have around.
I still miss Precious and always will but I know he's still with me in so many ways!

I'm sorry I missed this post last month. I can only imagine how hard that day was for your. It will soon be 9 months since I lost Alley so I am fast approaching that dreadful anniversary as well.
