Old boy Oswald had bouts with diabetes (cats are the only species who can recover from it) and his kidneys were failing when I took him in for that last vet visit. He was a very thirsty cat. He used to like to sleep by the sink in the bathroom. I let the tap run a bit when he was up there because he used to wake up and drink from it. There are lights on each side of the mirror, and there is about a foot and a half on the other side of the sink that runs towards the wall. He used to sleep on the non-wall side - he would jump on the toilet tank to get up there.
To this day, there is a warm spot that is about his height where he used to sleep. There are no pipes under that part of the vanity, and if it was reflected from the lights, the other side of the sink (wall side) would be warm, too, but it isn't. I think his energy is still there. I asked my husband to go and hold his hand over that spot, and he said it felt warm there, so it isn't just me. dee dee |
