Because Romeo is the pet which I lost, he has received most of the time when I talk on this board. I want to honor my other babies because they are worthy and I don't want to have to honor them after it's already too late:

Steve,
Great names for your babies and they are such cuties. Thanks for reminding us all that our little ones who are still here deserve some "air time." I am trying to enjoy every minute I have with my girls because you never know how long they'll be here. When I lost my Allie at 2 yrs. old it was so shocking, but it made me realize how fragile life really is and has made me appreciate my little ones even more, and enjoy their presence to the fullest. Thanks, Jenny P.S. My Norah sometimes lifts her upper lip and we call it her "Elvis face." ![]() -------------------- Alice Mae Bennett ("Allie") was born around May of 2003. She came home to us in July. On March 10, 2005, she became ill with a condition called mesenteric torsion or volvulus. It is a twisting of the small intestine which is nearly impossible to diagnose. Once symptoms begin it is usually too late to save the intestine by surgical means. There are no known ways to prevent it and its causes are also unknown. It is extremely rare, especially in medium-size females like Allie. It is more common in males of large breeds, like German Shepherds.
Allie was a sweet, happy and loving soul. I will miss her every day. Thanks for giving us these last two years, little girl. We'll always treasure them. |
