My Sweet Mickey..I started your Lightning-Strike journey here with this picture of you and I will end your first Angel-versary with it.
My Sweet Boy, it has been a long, sad, lonely, emotional year since you went to be with the Angels. There is no magic at the end of
the first year that will take that away. I will continue to cry, talk to you, and continue to leave some of your things out.

Three days ago, I was feeling more peaceful and then I found three more of your little treats under the bed.........I know you want us to be at peace and we want you to be at peace too. But we'll never stop missing your sweet little earthly body and the things we did together.
I know we will meet you again someday in Heaven.

Day before yesterday, I found a little Sparrow under the birdfeeder tree that had just died. My Sweet Boy, we buried him beside you and he went to Heaven to be with you. I believe that was a sign that we all are taken care of.....I remember the gospel song inspired by the
Bible, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow and I Know He Watches Me"......Sweet Mickey, take care of the little Sparrow too.

Dear Love My Mickey,

Please accept my loving, supportive wishes on this one year Angelversary of your sweet, wonderful Mickey's passing into Heaven. This must be such an incredibly difficult day for you and yet you find Mickey-signs amongst your deepest sorrow. I know that Mickey is so very proud of you, not only for making it to the angelversary, but also helping so many of the rest of us on this site. You share your wisdom, experience, thoughtfulness and, most of all, your heart.

Even though I don't mention Mickey's name too often in my note to Trevor, I KNOW that they are good buddies and are busy helping all the newbies (including sparrows and canaries) orient to Heaven. Dare I say this? I think they probably find some innocent mischief to get into, also. Trevor also went to Heaven on the 22nd (of July), so Mickey was there to greet him and for that I am deeply grateful.

I'll be saying extra prayers for you today and wish you peace and love, especially the Mickey-love you so deserve!

I know I'm a few days late, but I wanted to come and check how you were doing on the one year mark of sweet Mickey being gone. He is such a handsome boy. I love seeing photos of him. The sparrow story moved me to tears. I bet that little bird is riding around on Mickey's back while he runs and plays with all the other animals. I know I am not posting much in other threads, but I do come in and read. I hope you are doing well.

Mommy is sad today because a cyber-friend - email friend passed away yesterday. When I sent her pictures of you, she would call you "Cool Mr. Mickey". If you meet up with her, give her lots of heavenly love and kisses. She had kind of a hard time here on earth.

Thank you moon_beam....We had a tornado warning around 5:00 this afternoon. We went to the basement. The hail and wind sounded fierce, but no damage here. I hope you and Noah stay safe if you get storms overnight.

Good morning Love My Mickey

My heart is with you during this especially sad time. That hymn "His Eye is on the Sparrow (and I Know He Watches Me" is one I have sung thousands of times over since my Gretta went to the Perfect World. Those old hymns and spiritual had such powerful and consoling words - especially when you remember the circumstances under which they were written. I often have to strighten myself up by thinking, If they could do it, so can I.

Mickey-dog, like Gretta, is a veteran now in the Perfect World - welcoming in the newcomers, showing them around all the warm, fun things and places, and listening to days and days of bragging about their wonderful earthly parents. They're heroes up there like they were on this earth. Hold tight to the thought that one day we'll all be together again - never to be parted.

I'm no good singer, but I'll send you a song I sang at Bobbie's Trevor's homegoing ceremony - to the tune of "Go to Sleep You Weary Hobo" -by Woody Guthrie.

Meanwhile, here's a big hug and sloppy kiss coming to you from me and my "big-boy" Rufus.

My Sweet Little Mickey.....We had such a beautiful warm sunny Spring day today. This is our second Spring without you, my little one. I got tears thinking of how you enjoyed laying and looking out the open patio door, enjoying the breeze and sunshine. You always enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels. My goodness, the birds were really loud today. I think maybe they were talking to you. They knew you were a good boy and would never hurt them..........Then I remember you are in Heaven"s Beautiful Garden and enjoying beautiful sunny warm days just like me, but with just one thing wrong, we're not enjoying it together. My darling boy, I look forward to the day that we will be together and enjoy everything.

Little Blackie still comes by and visits and eats. Late last night I saw him laying in a big flower pot on the front porch. I guess the soil felt cool.
