I just wanted to say once again, thank you, to all of you who are there for me and for the others who need you. I also want to apologize for not having the strength to offer so many of you the support which you have offered me. Maybe I am still too early in my grief process for me to have the same strength to do the same others have done for me. Please don't think me selfish in that regard. Right now I just spend my days going thru the motions and being strong. But by the time I come home at night I have no strength left. I feel sad and tired and all used up, and don't have the strength to read thru so many of your postings describing the loss of your cherished pets. I hope one day that I will be able to return the kindness you have shown me.

Dear Romeo's Dad,
I'm so sorry about your Romeo. I read your other post and my heart just broke for you.
No need for apologies. Here at LS we all support one another. When I first started coming here my grief was too immense for me to try and help others. As others offered comforting words for me, I soon found that I had words of comfort for others.
This is such a wonderful place to come and share your thoughts, your concerns...your saddnesses. All the folks here will open their hearts to you and embrace you and your grief.
My thoughts are with you.
Kathleen
Definitely no need for apologies. For me, just knowing that someone took the time to read what I've written, that someone else understands how I'm feeling, that someone else is sharing my sorrow is comfort in itself.
please don't be sorry, you haven't done anything wrong. you are doing what you can and that is enough. i am grateful to you for sharing in our collective grief and individual losses. it means a great deal to me that others know the depth of the love that a beloved animal bestows on its human counterpart. later you will be strong again.
