Thanks, Deb....yes...Lucky was certainly the distraction I thought he would be and more.
Yeah...they are absolutely adorable wanting the string. I have one piece I have kind of shorter and Lucky ALWAYS has his tail straight up in the air with the tip over and I place the string across the tail by his bottom and when he walks he thinks it is chasing him and lots of times he runs around in circles trying to catch the string..Eventually it fall off by itself. In my home where my kittens were born years ago I had no ceiling fans...I just cut a long string and dragged it slowly back and forth across a room and they kept pouncing on it and then I would pull it loose and they never got tired of this game...only I got tired.
Pictures...yes they grow fast. I remember one puppy I had I took her picture at 8 weeks and then started taking a picture a month apart and the pictures really show the difference. Sometimes when we see them everyday we know they are growing but seeing it in a picture..is just...OH MY GOSH.....they really did grow!
I agree about watching the wiring. When my husband vacuums, Lucky guards the long electric cord cause if it moves, he wants to jump on it. Now he just lays on it. But at first he would put his mouth around it like he wanted to bite it and I had to say NO until he stopped that. Wires look like strings do I guess. We know how attracted they are to a string...it moves.
But then Lucky wanted to play with my cable wire too and sometime he really looks interested in what is plugged into outlets. You really almost have to baby-proof your home. My telephone cords by my desks he just lays on top of them and since he doesn't see movement...I lucked out there for now.
I have a coat closet in the living room and I hang one long piece of string there and wrap it around the doorknob but not tie it and let it dangle and sometimes he lies by that door and bats at it hanging. If he does take it into his mouth and try and run it would just come off easily. The only other thing I notice is he sometimes chews on the end of the string and it separates..well I cut that off ...just want to be sure it never gets thin enough to eat..never know what they want to eat.
Also one of his favorite toys is a golf ball. I guess he likes to hear the noise when it rolls on a tile floor. We never knew that before and never tried it with our 3 babies we used to have. They liked balls..my LIttle Guy would take a tennis ball and hold it against his chest/tummy and kick it with his back legs. A way to vent safely.
I look forward to more pictures of Brody.......just a little doll!
Hugs plus a special kiss to that little munchkin!
