What I have learned is to never think that anything is impossible. Several weeks ago, while reading about Beth's adorable bundle of joy, Browser, I began to think that a chihuahua would be a wonderful addition to our home. I mentioned this to Beth and she mentioned that Browser had a sister up for adoption. It seemed like the impossible- just a dream. We were several states away and I honestly did not know how we could have made it happen. I have just moved to another state and my husband I were caught up in getting everything together. (We didn't have internet for several weeks, hence my absence from the forum and from what seemed like the 'outside world'). Well, with the help of two angels named Beth and her husband, Jim, we made it happen! And along the way, I made a forever friend from this forum and adopted the most perfect baby that I could ever imagine. Beth and I plan on reuniting the littermates frequently because they have formed such a wonderful bond. I thank you Beth and Jim for taking the best care of Sasha and giving my husband and me the best gift. So, here is our little angel, Sasha, Browser's sister. I took these pictures when she was napping and I kinda woke her up with the flash.

Sasha truly is a little treasure. The love she shared with us in our home over the 2 weeks she was with us is remembered by all of us. It was a pleasure to take good care of her and to find a way to make things happen for this baby girl. With alot of prayers and saying "we can find a way," our prayers were answered. Steph and I decided we were going to just make it work. There was no obstacle too big to overcome.

Sasha is an angel who deserves the very best that life has to offer. I know she is getting the best because you and your hubby have promised her everything including all the love she could possibly ever want. I can't think of 2 more loving parents than you and your hubby.

Take good care of baby girl Sasha. We look forward to meeting up with you again soon. The years that are yet to come in watching these 2 siblings grow gives me absolute thrills. I am so excited for you Steph and for me as well as Browser & Sasha.

Please give Sasha kisses from all of us as well as a great big ol' smile.gif belly rub.

Much love to all 3 of you,
Jim, Beth, Gidget & Browser wub.gif

wub.gifIsn't she the cutest thing. I'm so glad that little girl adopted you. I'd love to hear some more about her when you have the time.

When Sadie died so unexpectedly in Oct. we thought it would be a long time before we got another dog. We hadn't even talked about it beyond saying that when we had some business matters straightened out, we would look in to buying a puppy from a reputable breeder, and start out with a clean bill of health, breeders guarantee, certification of good hips etc. All our other pets have been rescues. Then only 3 wks after Sadie's death, the Almighty ( and Sadie ), dropped Amos in our lap. I can't begin to count all the ways he has, not only fit perfectly into our family, but been a tremendous comfort and blessing to us.

May sweet Sasha be the same to you. Duffy's last gift to you...a perpetual joy and solace.

Kiss that cutie on the nose for me, biggrin.gif

She really is adorable, Stephanie. I am so happy for you and I know Beth is twice as happy by finding Browser and giving him a home and being able to give his sister a good home also. Sometimes blessings comes in twos too!

I look forward to hearing some stories and see more pictures as all of you make memories together.

Hugs to you and your husband for opening your hearts and home to a little angel named Sasha and hugs and kisses to her for....
well...for...JUST BEING HER! wub.gif

Thank you all for you wonderful wishes. Sasha is just the sweetest little cuddlebunny! She loves to curl up in a little ball on my or my husband's lap. She is also our little nature buff. I don't know too many puppies who don't like taking long walks and sniffing the wind but Sasha never wants to go back inside. She just loves to roll around in the grass and investigate all of the natural wonders awaiting her outside. She is particularly fond of watching ants on the concrete. I relish our walks together. They bring back memories. It has been 17 years since I had a puppy and although it's a lot of work and a lot of worrying, it is so much fun and energizing. When indoors, Sasha likes to sit in the sun unless she is trying to catch a nap. If she is trying to sleep, she likes to put her little face under a blanket to block the light.
Today, Sasha lost her first tooth. I didn't know what it was until I picked it up. I was so overjoyed to share in this milestone with her and I think that the toothfairy will be making an appearance tonight with a very special treat for our baby.

Sasha really is a little cuddlebunny and loves to snuggle right in. We also noticed how much she loves nature. Many times when I thought she wanted to go out and potty I found out what it was that she really wanted. Her desire was to go out and bask in the sunshine while laying on the grass. Gosh she is so beautiful! wub.gif

One day while she was here she went over to one of my flower gardens and I saw her smelling the flowers. She would take in the aroma and then tilt her nose straight up in the air. Her ears bent with the breeze. We came to love her very quickly because she is so easy to love.

You'll have to come back and tell us what the toothfairy brought for Sasha. This mile marker for you wil be easy for me to remember too because it is also Gidget's birthday today.

Keep bringing stories of her and new pics Steph. As soon as possible I will bring some pics of Sasha & Browser while they were together here with us. I look forward to sharing our stories for many years to come as we watch these two siblings grow in love.

Much love to all three of you,
Beth

So glad to see you Toonie!!! These 2 little hooligans truly are a miracle of love. Though we miss having Sasha with us, we are so happy she has a happy home with Steph and Eric.

Very soon I will be posting pics of Browser & Sasha in both of their New Beginnings threads. Sasha's time spent with us is so memorable. I'm putting together a little collage of pics of her. wub.gif

Take care Toonie and thanks for coming by to share in Steph's and my joy over having had these 2 precious siblings come into our lives.

Hugs to you Toonie! biggrin.gif

Sasha is quite a little nature buff much like her brother Browser. This was a picture I took of her on our boat before we made the trip to Pennsylvania to meet her new parents. I will never forget her sweetness nor wonderful the experience of fostering and loving her. Watching Sasha and Browser play together brought so much laughter into our home. laugh.gif

We plan to reunite these two little hooligans at least once a year. It's amazing to me what a heartfelt friendship grew out of the painful losses Stephanie (ForDuffy) and I endured less than a year ago. Raising these siblings together will keep our bonded friendship alive and growing for many years to come. wub.gif

Have a blessed day! smile.gif

This is another picture my hubby took when Sasha was visiting with us. The human in the picture is me. Gidget is to your left, Browser in the middle, and Sasha to your far right. This is what makes treasured memories. wub.gif Sasha will always be a part of our hearts. We love her very much and look forward to seeing her again sometime in the Fall.

Last night Sasha was admitted to the hospital. sad.gif She had a severe reaction to a rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccination is a slow release type of vaccine so the doc advised Stephanie to leave Sasha overnight. It was a good decision to leave her there because around midnight she began to swell again and there was somebody there to take care of her immediately. The swelling has reduced and Stephanie and her hubby are visiting with her tonight at the hospital. The doc wants to keep a close eye on her, so she will be staying there again tonight.

Please leave a thought or prayer for Sasha and Stephanie. This is their first separation since Steph brought Sasha into her heart. If there ever was a doubt about these two bonding, there is no longer. This frightening experience sealed their love for each other in every way.

Stephanie.............Jim, Gidget, Browser, and myself send Sasha, Eric, and you lots of hugs and kisses. We love you very much. Know that all three of you are always in my prayers. wub.gif

Praying for a speedy recovery for little Sasha,
Beth

Oh! Best wishes!!!!!

Funny, I have been in email conversations with people who are warning me about casual vaccinations. I have decided to question every siggestion for them, because the last time Iggy was feeling low for a couple of days, and the other cats have too. Nothig we can do about rabies, because it is mandated, but we will think hard about all the others.

Dying to hear all is well!!!!!

My dear Stephanie, please stay positive. Believe in a benevolent universe for Sasha and you. I have every hope that Sasha will make it through, stay strong and believe that things will work out.
Stephanie, visualize Sasha's inflammation subsiding, visualize the toxins getting out of her body, visualize God's strenght going through inside Sasha, along with your love. What your mind sees may well make it true. This is what you can do. For all we know it may be the most important step of all, be positive and stand by her. For the days that are coming I offer you my best thoughts and my best actions all for Sasha who deserves to know Stephanie's love for a long long long long time. Hugs to you and a great big happy recovery to come, God willing, for you are such a beautiful person, all kindness and a heart of gold. Take care mommy I'll be praying for all to be well.

Dear (((((((Stephanie)))))))

I am so sorry to hear that your little precious girl, Sasha wub.gif is in the hospital now after suffering a reaction to the rabies vaccine sad.gif . It is such a terrifying thing when our babies are ill and to make things feel worse, when they have to be away from us for any amount of time.

Please know that I am sending lots of healing thoughts and prayers that soon you will have your baby girl in your arms again - where she belongs wub.gif .

When you can, please let us know how she is doing.

Sending much love, comfort & blessings to you and yours,

Denise xo

Oh! You are all so special to me! I picked Sasha up tonight and as of now, she is sleeping peacefully with her daddy. I am up, still because of my lovely insomnia which hits anytime that I am badly stressed out. I gave Sasha a meatball dinner- her favorite- and she fell asleep in my arms afterward. It was a nightmare to be separated from her for over 48 hours and my boss, who is the most humane, wonderful boss, told me that I can work from home tomorrow to spend the day with my baby. So I will be back tomorrow to elaborate. I thank all of you for thinking of us and your beautiful prayers which undoubtedly helped Sasha through her bout. I love you all and thank you. I will be back tomorrow. Good night!

Those two little imps! They are so adorable together. There will be a playdate very soon, Browser! Sasha misses you a lot! I love how Gidget is looking on from a distance, pretty much, rolling her eyes at the young'uns-keeping them in line.

Sasha has been doing really well today on her first day home. I worked from home and she mostly laid in my lap or in the sun. I could tell that she was so happy to be back home. I plan to let her rest a lot this weekend and i plan on resting alongside of her as well. Thank you all for your prayers and heartfelt thoughts. It feels so wonderful to have friends like you.

Sasha and I thank you all for such wonderful thoughts. You are really so special to us. Dayna, don't apologize for being late- it means so much for you just to stop by.
Sasha has fully recovered and is back to herself. As she is getting older, her personality is flourishing. She loves her belly rubs and her long walks more than ever-I think that's what she missed the most during her stay at the hospital although the vet and technicians really took a liking to her so I suspect that she may have had some belly rubs-not as good as mine or my husband's though.
