Although it has only two weeks since our George left us, we had to adopt another little one.
Some may say it's too soon, but we just had to fill the void left by the loss of our buddy. It was just too much to bear.So we would like everyone to meet little Sable. She's a fiesty little baby, and just loves to cuddle. She needed a good home so we couldnt resisit.
I waited two months for my New Hire...Simply because I was waiting for him to be ready to leave his mother.
Sable is gorgeous!
Since Miles died in March, I laughed for the first time when Ignatius (Iggy) (Piggy The Pink-nosed Clown Prince) arrived. I had a lot of love left over, that had nowhere to go.
The deep love Miles and I had for each other was based on different things, and was its own special kind. It will not be replaced no matter what I do.
But the New Hire has made me so happy, and shows me that Life goes on. Every time I have a sinking feeling about missing Miles, Iggy does something so outrageous, he makes us laugh. He has this earnest expression on his face while he is being crazy!
It has gotten so bad that my relatives have actually asked me to stop talking about him. Well, sorry, but they have not cheered me up like this, so ..
Anyway, do not question whether you got Sable too early. I have learned over the years that they seem to show up when needed. Once we lost a dear old cat, and instantly, not only did Miles show up at the door pregnant, looking for a Client, but someone also found Murphy for us. Sam has arrived earlier.
So we went from zero to four cats because the call went out, "Cat Wanted". It just seems to be the way it is supposed to work, I guess.
