We recently became the proud parents of Toffee , a Chocolate/Caramel/white border collie

he was 2 and a half months old when we got him (he's just gone three months now), his old owners bought him , but after a week found out that a family member had a serious condition needing lots of hospital treatment and they realised they couldnt keep the puppy ... so we gave him a home , and he has fitted in wonderfully

we werent going to get a dog quite so soon after losing our beloved Buddy Buddys thread but Toffee took our hearts and now wont give them back , lol

we figured seeing as how he was so young he would adapt easily to a name change as we hated the name they had given him , it just didnt suit him , and as we thought he has adapted well and comes when he's called , he's very intelligent and already knows loads of tricks i've taught him ... housetraining is another matter though , lol ... he sort of knows he is to go in the garden , but we still get accidents on the carpets , and he doesnt 'go' on his walks , but does as soon as he gets back into the garden
no matter, he's still a baby and im sure with patience , love and a little (lot) more training he'll learn wub.gif

heres a few pics of him

Borders are really smart, too! You will have your hands full.

I wondered about a new friend when I was grieving, but found that this is where healing begins. I finally laughed for the first time since I lost my Cat-Wife with the whacky antics of a new friend. They will never replace our lost one but they will work their hearts out to make us happier, and they will succeed, whether we think it proper or not..

Hey Roz.................It is so good to see you again. Often I have wondered how you were doing.

I am so glad to hear about your newest addition to your family. tongue.gif No doubt Toffee brings you and your hubby much laughter and happiness. I'll bet he also keeps you very busy. Puppies bear so much watching because they are so busy and inquisitive every minute they are awake. The potty training will come with time with all the love and patience I know you have.

Toffee's pictures are absolutely charming. I fell in love with him myself when I laid my eyes on him. His coloring is beautiful and I love that sweet smile on his face.

We also have a new puppy named Browser. Feeling the warmth and joy in the happiness he has brought into our home and hearts was truly the best choice we ever made. Even though he stole our hearts, we don't mind. Because Goliath is also a part of our hearts and so his love lives on. He no doubt is very proud of his baby brother. wub.gif

Keep bringing Toffee's pictures and stories. It brings me such great joy in seeing those that who have grieved so much share some great and exciting news.

May you be blessed with many happy and fulfilling years with your precious Toffee. biggrin.gif

Congratulations....he is an adorable puppy. I remember that age was lots of energy and play. I am so glad to see this addition to your family. You will have a lot of fun and laughs. We look forward to more pictures and stories of this "baby boy".

Just wonderful news!

A new Border pup! Oh- yes, he will learn and then he'll teach you his way of doing things. But you know Borders as well as I do. I remember when Duffy was that age-we were astounded by how smart he was and how quickly he picked up on things. I wish you the best of luck with little Toffee. Give him tons of hugs from me!
