Full Version: Storm & Noise Phobia In Dogs
Lightning-Strike Pet Loss Support Forum > Pet Loss Support > Pet Loss Websites, News and Other Info
Furkidlets' Mom
Since this is a common problem for dogs, I'm posting something their people can do about it to help them. While this is a time-sensitive course being offered pretty soon, you can also simply buy the associated book (see below) if you cannot attend in person. Additionally, this network offers ongoing courses, teleclasses and much more and you can subscribe to the Animal Spirit Network to receive all mailings directly from them (see bottom of page). I've taken one teleclass myself (from Teresa Wagner) through this network and found it very good.

Explore Causes of Noise Sensitivity, and Learn Effective Coping Skills for Animals (and Their People)

Explore noise fears and phobias in dogs.

Learn what causes sound sensitivity, as well as how to help dogs (and yourself!) cope with the distress through the use of integrated holistic modalities such as Tellington TTouch, flower remedies, herbs, homeopathics, essential oils, pheromones and more.
For this course, each participant is allowed to bring one canine animal companion to this course. This is a lecture style course, and will not involve hands on application. You may bring an animal friend, on leash or in carrier, only if they are comfortable in strange surroundings and not a distraction to you or others.
