I have finally found a couple of garden memorial stones that I think will be great for Homer. I just don't know what I want to put on it. I want something special, but not sure what. I have been looking on the internet, but havent found that special phrase that will suit Homer. Anyone have any suggestions? This will only be a memorial stone, he will not be buried with it.

I know I've said it before, but Homer was so beautiful, just had to say it again. I don't really know what it is you are looking for but I just love the:
"Everything I needed to know about love, I learned from my cats"
In your signature. You could change it up a bit if you wanted, like:
"Everything I needed to know about love, I learned from Homer"

Thanks for the suggestion Lori! Homer was a very beautiful boy, thanks for saying so. Your boy is just as beautiful too!
I think I've finally found it:
It is not length of life, but depth of life.
He jumped into life and never touched bottom.
I think it suits him quite well.
Now I just have to decide if I want an photo or not. Hopefully I will have this stone by spring...

I have to agree that Homer is simply beautiful. I also like the phrase you picked out for the memorial stone. Its simple but elegant and fitting.

I love the phrase you chose. I think a photo or laser etching would be a nice compliment to it.

I will be ordering my new memorial stone today. I have chose to have a laser etched picture of Homer on it. I decided to use the same photo as I use in my avatar. I will post a picture of it once I receive it.
Thank you everyone!

Just got the proof for the garden stone. I will of course add a picture once I get the actual stone.

That is just beautiful, a fitting tribute to your Homer. Have I mentioned how much I like his name? If not I do. A great name for a beautiful cat.

Just got the garden memorial stone. It turned out beautifully, and am looking forward to the snow to disappear so I can put it outside.

Leighann, the stone for dear Homer is just beautifully done! The etching looks exactly like that wonderful picture of him. I'm so pleased it turned out so nicely, for you, for Homer. Now you can proudly show him off, even outside (end of March, maybe?).

Btw, I can never get over how delightfully 'squooshy' and cuddly he looks! What a guy...

I too think the stone is gorgeous. I cannot leave a stone for my Chaos, as I buried him in the park near where I live, and do not want others to know he is there (vandalism is a concern). But I do think that I will take some vegetation from his site, and a picture of the fern when I plant it there. Then maybe I will make a memorial stone that I will keep with me.
Once again, just like Homer, your stone is beautiful.

The stone is almost as beautiful as the creature it memorializes. The beauty of his face has been captured. A face both impish and angelic.
