He's only improved a little bit. We really don't know what all is going on, but my husband is going to take my Dad up to visit in the morning. The hospital is 40 minutes away. I have this awful feeling he might not make it back home. With me losing Nicky less than 4 weeks ago and now all this heart stuff with my Dad's dog, it's making me question my decision to adopt a shih tzu puppy in May. This is so horrible, I am completely lost and physically sick to my stomach. How can this happen again in less than a month??? I realize they are related and being about the same age it only stands to reason they might go around the same time, but it just doesn't seem fair.

I'm so sorry Ziggy isn't doing better. It's not fair, it just sucks. It's really hard to lose two so close together.

If I were you I wouldn't make that decision yet, a new baby may be just the thing you need at your house. While it doesn't change what happened, a baby tummy to kiss can make things seem so much better. All of you may need something like that.

Please let your dad know I'm thinking of him too, I know this must be hard on him.
