I lost my Molly girl this past Monday and I can't believe it happened so quick. She was a 9 year old fawn pug. On Sat. I noticed she had tape worms so we got some medicine to get rid of them and gave that to her in the afternoon and then a couple hours later she started getting sick and kept getting sick and I called the emergency vet and they said it sounded like she needed to be seen but if I waited until the next morning to not let her have any food or water that night. I woke up that next morning and she was breathing real heavy and we took her to the emergency vet and they said that she was a little dehydrated but she was okay. They did 2 tests on her and said they could do a exray of her stomach to see if there was any blockage and if there was they would do surgery. He said surgery is hard on them though and sometimes they open them up and not find anything. So she got some medicine given to her and I ended up bringing her home to see if she got any better with the medicine and some fluids they had given her under the skin and if she was still not better the next morning I was going to bring her to her regular vet. Well that next morning she was not doing good at all. She was so weak. I tried to bring her back to the emergency vet because my vet was not open yet and she ended up dying on the way there. It was a shock to not have her here anymore. She was my baby. I feel bad that I didn't leave her overnight and also do that exray. She had gotten real sick like that before and we took her to another emergency vet and they gave her some medicine and sent her home and she got better. (that was probably a couple months ago) I just hated to see her go. She was my first born! I miss her so much. It was hard to even function the next few days after that. But I have a 9 month old son that kept me busy. I keep calling Molly's name like she is here. I started reading other people's stories and they brought tears to my eyes. So, I wanted to share too. I'm so sorry to hear about your Molly. It is a shock, and it is very hard to function after such a shock. I'm so sorry you lost her, your sweetheart.

Thank you for sharing, you did a good job for so soon after losing her. I hope when you are doing a bit better you can tell us more about her, and maybe you have a picture?

Don't forget to take care of yourself, that can be really hard right now.

Thinking of you and your Molly

Moose's Mom,

Thank you so much for replying. It is good for me to get my tears out. Maybe sometime I will be able to send a picture of her and share more. I have lots of pictures. I was looking through them. I found short video clips too that I have on CD. I love them and am SO HAPPY that I have them. Thanks again, Molly's Mom

Molly's Mom, I am so sorry for your loss of Molly. She sounds like she was a wonderful dog.Whatever the conditions it is always hard to lose them.I lost my sweet boy Sox back on Oct. 13th and we had to make the decision to put him to sleep and it was the toughest thing I have ever had to do.You did your best for him and he knew that. You loved him and cared for him but sometimes it's just not enough. It was his time but I know the feelings of emptiness that it leaves you with.My thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope that by knowing there are others out here that feel the same way as you do it helps just alittle bit. Please come back often and share more about your sweet baby. We'd love to see a picture if you have one when your up to it.Take care of yourself and just take it one minute at a time.I care and so do many others here. This site has helped me more than anything to deal with the loss of my boy Sox.I don't kow what I would have done without it.The people here are the very best and we all understand the pain you are going thur.Be good to yourself.Sincerely,Renee (Sox's mom)
