Hello, all.I am asking you all for prayers and good thoughts for my sister Lori.Yesterday she and her husband lost their beautiful cat named Gurkitty. She was around 16 years old and had been having health problems for quite some time.Yesterday morning she took a turn for the worse and they had to put her to sleep. My sister is very upset and could really use some support from all of us here on this site.I told her about this site and how after my boy Sox passed away it was so helpful to me.I hope she will have the courage to come here and know that she is not alone in her feelings and that there are many others going thur the same kind of pain that she is right now.So if you could all keep them in your prayers and thoughts I sure would appreciate it.Her Gurkitty was a special cat and a member of their family. They found her as a stray when she was just a young girl and had her for all these years. She will be missed by all of those who loved her.I pray that she is now in heaven with her cousin Sox and they are waiting for us at the rainbow bridge.I hope my sister knows that I love her and I'm here for her.Thank you everyone.Sincerely,Renee (Sox's mom)

Please tell your sister she is in my thoughts and prayers. Please let Lori and her husband know I'm very sorry for the loss of sweet Gurkitty. I'm sure Gurkitty and Sox are somewhere together happy and playing. Waiting for you.

I'm sure this brings things up for you too. I'll be thinking of all of you.

Lori, your right about it bringing things up again for me.Yesterday when she called I was feeling kinda blue because it was friday and since Sox died on a friday every week when it rolls around I start thinking about his death all over again. It's tough when a family loses 2 pets so close together.I pray that the two of them are together at the rainbow bridge. Thanks for your kind words.Sincerely,Renee

You have Friday, I have Monday so I do understand that feeling, It's still a hard day. This Friday my 87 year old father ended up in the hospital. He seems to be okay now, and is back home, but it's just too much, ya know?

It really is, trying to help your family when everything just brings back your loss, it's not a fun time. I'm thinking of you all.

Lori
