I just wanted to know if this dream I had could possibly be some sort of sign my Smokey is ok. Tuesday night (one day after Smokey's death) I had a dream where he was playing with my other cats. In my dream I knew he was a spirit and he saw me and came by me. I petted him and picked him up and I told my mom who was sitting on the couch that Smokey was here and I could see him. At first she couldn't see him at all but then she is like yes I do see him. Then the dream was over with, Smokey was happy though, he didn't appear to be sick at all. Has anyone else had a similar dream? Does it mean he is ok and he is letting me know? I also was looking at some pictures of him tonight, it was very hard, I only was able to look at a few before feeling very sad. I think it will take me a long time before I can look at pictures of him.

In my opinion, dreams are one of the ways our departed pets let us know that they understand and acknowledge our pain, and help us heal. I've had a dream about my cat where I was following her around a garden, she knew I was there and wanted me to see her, but she didn't want me to come with her. I took that as a sign that she was at peace where she was, and she knows one day I'll come to be with her, but not yet. I woke up with a very peaceful feeling, and I've been very grateful for that dream. If you had the sense that Smokey was happy and not sick, then that can be a comfort for you, a sign that Smokey is sending to you in maybe the only way he knows how.

I hope that makes sense. I've always had a hard time looking at pictures of my pets who are gone, one day it will be something I can do with a sense of peace, but not yet. Take care - Barbara

On tuesday night (the day fluffy passed over) i dreampt of her she was in my mind as i was falling asleep and she didnt look ill to me either. I just went into a deep sleep feeling a little easier, sadly the night before all this happened laura dreampt she was taking fluffy for a walk on a lead to the vets and she didnt look sad then either, but i too beleive if we see our baby in our sleep that it is there way of showing us there still around:)
