Well, I'm not too good at posting pics, but I thought that maybe we could share our
earthbabies nicknames! I'm sure we could all use a smile and a laugh... smile.gif

My dog Jake is also called: Jacob, Jacob McCallahan, Ya-gub, Cha-gub, Chubbub, Chubba Wubba.

My dog Frances is also known as: Francine, Francine McGillicuddy, Porkchop, Fatty,

Oh, I almost forgot...Fatty Fatty 2 by 4 !!!
lewcynt
OMG...fatty fatty 2 x 4??? I love that... that is too funny...
Loki has several... Loki-Monster (due to his nightly drooling and nuzzling habits, you never know when he might strike), Loki Baloki, Mr. Loki Loki, My little ham (because he's such a suck-up sometimes biggrin.gif ), My little ham on rye and Hippy-Kitty.

Odin's were Tubby, Piggy or Odin the Mighty-Mole Killer, The Vegan-Kitty (usually when he hounded me for my broccoli and other veggies which he surprisingly ate), Mr. Purrs-A-Lot... But it was mostly Tubby. Where ever there was food, Odin was always close by looking for a handout! tongue.gif

Callie is also known as Miss Callie, Tater Tot, Squeaky, Squeakers, and Callie Alley Cat. I'm sure she will ac%%ulate more names, but she's only been with me about two months.

Oscar, who I miss so much, had more nicknames than I can think of. Mr. Hugs was the primary name, but he also answered to Mr. O, Mr. Cat, the Hug Monster, Huggy Monster, Huggy Buggles, the Huggy Bun, Huggy Bunny, Huggy Bundle, Mr. Fang, my Special Little Guy, and Mr. Monster. He was also known as The Toe-Biter, his only true vice.

Cinnamon was Miss Kitty, Garden Girl, Garden Kitty, my little Sun Kitty, Miss Cat, and of course Miss Cinnamon. My mother would joke around that Miss Cinnamon had it in for her and had less complementary names for her, like The Hornet With Fur. I sometimes called her My Little Piranha Fish and the Little Escape Artist. And we all called her Miss Ci-mon, eliminating all the syllables in the middle of her name (I don't know why).

This was a great idea for a thread, thanks for starting it.

This is such an endearing and positive thread, and I love reading the loving nicknames you have all given your babies. I have already posted a thread about the many names of my beloved Cosmo, but I have 4 Earth babies that are still sharing their lives with me ( actually I have 18, but my 14 mice don't have too many nicknames just yet, and if they did, it would take me all day to list them. ohmy.gif ) So, I'll just start with my 2 cats and 2 dogs.

"Sage" my 9 1/2 year old Lab/ Husky mix, has many, including- Stink Head, Ink Stain, Muppet, Mupple Basket, Duck Butt, Fox Face, Fawn, Slappy ( because of her bald belly), Baby, Ears, Monkey and Stinkopotamus. There are many more though.
"Coco" Sage's 11 year old Lab/Husky mix Mommy is- Smokey, Gorilla Face, Cokeyfenoke, Dinosaur Head, Mop Feet, Big Dog, and Dopey.
"Rufus" my 13 year old white male cat has- Rufus Blue, Rufus the Tank ( he weighs 18 pounds), Big Blue, Chez Whitey, Buobby, Bubble, Baby Lou, and Great White.
"Beaner" my 13 1/2 year old orange tabby has- Green Bean, Beaner Weiner, El Bean, Queen ( don't ask me why), Spleen, Little Ears, and his original name of Zachary or Zack.
My male mice are Dewey, Bo, Chip, Ben, Buster, and Bruiser.
My female mice are Limpet, Smudge, Dash, and 4 little girls ( cuz you can't tell them apart).
My newest addition was another deer mouse who still needed hand rearing for 1 1/2 weeks after she came to me, and since my one male mouse Rip, had passed away a couple of months ago, I had a cage available. Her names are- Midget, Pip Sqeak, Little Girl, and Munchkin.

Thanks for letting me share.

I like this thread smile.gif an opportunity to smile amidst the tears.

This is Loki, he just turned two on September 19th, he is a bundle of restless energy, very entertaining and at times when the mood hits him very loving.
He developed the funny tooth at about 8 months, it doesn't bother him so I have left it since it makes him look very unique. He's a perfect little Halloween cat. His first and foremost nickname is hobgoblin smile.gif
He's also called Loki Smokey, hooligan, monster. bratcat.
SInce Loki was the scandanavian god of mishief, he is very appropriately named. He's fallen in the toilet, gets up on my kitchen cupboards and throws things down from up there to get attention, he drinks my tea when I'm not looking, has fallen into the toilet and is an overall loveable troublesome imp! I love him dearly and I am so grateful his lively presence is here with me while I'm going through all this mourning. He was very depressed after Nymph's death right along with me and now one week later he is starting to act like himself again.
Life with a hobgoblin is never boring.

My girl Ayla passed Dec. 9, 2004.

These are her nicknames.

Aylapatra Queen of the Scioto ..(we live very close to the Scioto River here in Columbus, Ohio) and she was the Queen. You can tell that by looking at her.

Stinkbomb...I don't know why but it just stuck. She was very serious about her hygiene so this was kind of a tease.
Aylapala puddin and pie - kissed the boys...but didn't make them cry.

Always my girl.
I miss you and love you with all my heart and soul. Your dad misses you so much Ayla. You changed him forever how he feels about cats.

We are with you now and forever,
Mom and Dad , Kiwi, Tucker and Tate.
Bird girl
I'd call my Dusky Conure, T-bird, a lot of nicknames. Some of them could be seen as very strange, like the nickname, "Worm". She was very affectionate but sometimes would suddenly decide she wanted to be elsewhere in the middle of a cuddle/petting session. She'd writhe her way out of my hands, which reminded me of trying to hold an earthworm. So, Worm it was, for a while.

The last nickname she had was "Little Huevo". She suddenly decided to lay two eggs (one while sitting on my hand, the other in my lap) right about when she turned 15 years old. (The vet was astonished: he said, "She layed her first eggs at 15?!")

The most consistent nickname was "Baby Bird". I'd taught her to say this phrase when she was very young, no more than a year old. She continued to say "Baby Bird" throughout her life. I'd joke and say, "You're not a baby bird anymore, you're 16!" She'd pin her pupils and say it again!

Her original name was Tweaker Bird because she was so incredibly silly and fun. She looked at me one day right in the eye and said, "T-bird!" I'd never said that word before to her. It was like she wanted that name for herself. So from that day forward it was T-bird instead of Tweaker Bird. It's like she gave herself a nickname. Throughout her life she'd say both names, but T-bird was her favorite. I can still hear her. sad.gif

She died from an accident June 5th, 2005.

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=14]Well, I know that I am hurting so bad right now.

It was: Buttons, casue she was cute as a button....Butt Butt...Princess, Girlfriend, Butt, Sweet Pea...Honey bumpkins...

Tiger...was chew butt cause he loved to chew on things if he could get them, like the plastic shopping bags, the stuff they put around the jars.....Little Buddy, Fat Boy...

Boo Boo (who is still with us) his real name is Juan Luc Picard...Little Man...ThBoo...boo..

But they all thougth there first name was baby cause i always called them Momma's Babies..They don't have a clue what kitt kitty means at all. Baby that is it.

I have good thought about them..I would come into the house and called at Where's Mommas' Babies. I would sound like a herd of elephants, coming to meet me.

When i went to feed them it was always CHOW....babies....they would come running, and talking...I mean loud talking...The noise that went on while they were eating, and the purring it was very noisy at Chow time (which is there wet food)...They were all something. They were better than going to the movies. Oh, How i am going to miss those two sweet souls.
This is not going to be a good holiday.....I am Thankful for my boo boo...I don't think he realizes yet. To the fact that Buttons is gone. Cause he was checking on her all the time.
This is nice to remember their nicknames. Gald I am not the only one that did that.
thanks
Momma (debi)
