When I was about seven years old I was allowed to choose from a litter of barn cats I picked the orange one. He was so loving and quickly became my soul mate cat, I loved him more than anything or anyone. Thirty some years later, when I had my own family I got to pick two cats , an orange one for me

and the cat he was playing with for him. Those 13 years were too quickly passed, I am so grateful for them.
To me, there is something magical about cats, especially orange cats.
I am sure that the name you chose was perfect for him because orange cats are usually very much like the one depicted by Garfield cartoonist Jim Davis. Love to be petted, love to eat, love to be smart alecks sometimes....I know you know.
Thinking of you Kathleen, and your Garfield, I know how you feel after all that time- I still feel so close to them, miss them still. Bless you and wishing you great joy with your cats, past ,present and future!
