TO DORA

We had our very own nose to nose kisses,
I talked to you about my day and you listened,
For hours you kept me laughing with your antics,
For that I thank you.

You greeted me by standing up in your cage and
offering a paw, You brought peace to our hectic days
and fun and laughter to our slow ones...
For that I love you.

Our time together was short and I'll always long for more but
God has other plans for you. My only wish for you is that
you'll bring someone else peace and you'll keep a star lit
for me...
With that i'll miss you.

I really like what you wrote about the star. I few weeks before Shiloh died, she and I were outside one night and I picked out a star and I told her that everytime I looked at that star I would think of her, and no matter where she ended up in the universe, she could look at that star too and know I was missing her and loving her.
