What a beautiful and touching tribute to Scooter.

I'm sure if we were able to ask Scooter about his life, he'd reply..."My mom meant the world to me and the best part of my life was having her in it...it was an honor spending 10 1/2 years with her." wub.gif

Thinking of you on Scooter's 1 month anniversary.

Dear Sen,

What a touching tribute to your beloved Scooter. He understood if, at times you were busy. He knew how much you loved him and valued him as a true member of your family.

Things will get better.

Thinking of you.

I am thinking of you and your little boy. I bet there was plenty of times you gave a lot of attention to your baby. It seems like when they are gone we think of the things we didn't do or say but one day you will remember all the wonderful things you did do and say. It sounds as though you are already thinking of so many things you shared that gave you both a lot of pleasure.

That was a sweet, sweet letter to Scooter. I'm sure he understood and I agree totally with Kathleen about what Scooter would say! I don't know if they can read, but I believe somehow they hear our hearts speaking to them, so I do think Scooter knows what you said in your letter and he thanks you for the letter and for the wonderful 10 1/2 years he spent with you and all of the love you and he shared.

I cried when I read your letter to Scooter, it is so beautiful. It has been one week since I lost my baby, my Honey dog. I am starting to feel better but not whole. It gave me hope to read that you don't cry when you look at her picture anymore. I am sure Scooter realizes everything you did during those last few months was what was best at that moment. I, too, have regrets about the last few days with my Honey. If I had known they were her last of course we would have lived them differently. But there is nothing we can do to change the past so we have to go on from here. Please know that I truly believe that you will get to see Scooter when you get to Heaven.

Scooter is the sweetest and dearest little thing~ I read this letter over again and again and it is so poignant and truly touches my heart ~ I was not able to respond until now ~ I have been over wrought about my Ambie ~ but I just know that the love we share with our dear animal babes is not in vain ~ this kitty Scooter is so brave and filled with dignity and one can see how good and truly filled a person would be by knowing him as you were able to ~ One other thing is that Yes they can understand what we say and also what we write ~ they (animals) operate on a higher beam of communication than we humans ~ Amber knew everything that I was thinking and feeling and saying ~ it is amazing how they are ~ I wish I could be more like that ~ I think that when I can tune in to that level ~ that is the time I will be able to hear and feel Amber still ~ as I have come to believe that they are never far away from those who love them ~ Sincere Thoughts, Kathryn
