All of you I appreciate your comments, education and concern
Here is what I got from the VET. White Blood Cells extremely low. Liver enzymes high, X-rays showed nothing, Blood Sugar high, All pointing to toxicity. Neurological signs in his eyes dialting. She said that she was 100% sure it was toxins. We have not been able to find anything leaking, open or anything. I guess it could have been an old pill? But no prescriptions have been used in the house for over 6 months. Rat poison outside? I am going to look and ask the neighbors. The one thing that she said is that because how fast he died and with such violence he would have had to eat a lot of whatever it was, and I can't find anything. Not even a trace. I will take a full day, go room to room, cupboard by cupbooard looking for something. If I find nothing I am going to have to accept a lost pill of some kind however unlikely it seems. One thing, she did say that a black widow or brown recluse spider could have bit him in the mouth or somewhere not detected by swolleness. Very rare but possible. I guess I may never truely know. All i can do is be more educated and prevent this froom happening again.

I am so sorry mister. I love you so much and wih you were here with us.
Your DAD.

The really weird thing is this: For 5 days now I have educated myself as to what is poisoness to cats and all animals. I have printed out, read and memorized most of them. I have looked now in my house for 5 days and not found a trace of anything. Not a spill, open pill bottles, we dont even have one plat, nothing leaking, NOTHING. I am going to go room to room, top to botom this weekend. Right now ther is nothing.

I am SO sorry that Mister had to leave so quickly and unexpectedly. You can't blame yourself, though. As you are discovering, you haven't been negligent, because you can't find anything. As rare as it may sound, maybe it really was a spider bite of some kind. Maybe he saw a spider and was batting at it and playing with it, like cats often do with insects. At least you have a pretty good idea of what caused his death. There wasn't anything you or your vet could have done. There are countless stories on here that remind us all that we just can't protect our furbabies 24 hours a day.

All these experiences help us become more educated, though. Already you have researched this so thoroughly that you say you can just about state all things poisonous now to furkitties. Now you will be able to assist and help others become educated.

I hope you can find some peace and closure now.

I do know that some house plants are posion to cats. I also know there are awful people out there that would posion them and not think twice. Antifreeze attracts cats they love to drink it and it is deadly to them...just some things to ponder. Pamela
