Our adorable chocolate lab Mia only got to be 5 1/2 years old. I took her to the vet march 2- she had been acting strange for two days and something was not right. loss off appetite and not happy.we thought she might have gotten something stuck in her throat-it seemed swollen. The vet told me she was in renal failure-we were devestade and could not understand why-she is an indoor dog, hadnt gotten into any poison-just dont understand!she percked up during the day and she was happy to see us thursday night when we visited her-they kept her overnight for fluid thearaphy to flush out the kidneys
-but friday everything started to shut down.her body temp went down fast and she didnt respond to any treatment-the ironic thing is her kidney values were getting better...friday afternoon we had to put her to sleep-she wasnt getting any better.we dont understand...the loss is tremendous and sudden-I dont know how to coop and I just cant seem to stop crying...
A month ago she got her booster shoots vaccinations-and she did have a reaction to them-vomiting-had to take her in the same day for treatment-they gave her benadryl and antiinflammtory shoots.she got better but I cant help going back to that-could that have caused this???My vet says no-but has anyone heard of that ?

Mia Forever...
