My 1st Month

It has been a month since I lost my Buffy girl. She died Dec 5, 2005. No real answers why? She went to the vet Dec 2th for herniated disk..came home on Valuim and predisone. She got worse on Sat. Dec 3rd and was throwing up by Sunday afternoon Dec 4th. Call vet about her condition and cut back on her meds as he told me. As she became worse the vet never returned my calls between 8:30 that night till 11:00. Rush her to the clinic and she was dehydrated and hopitilized. I told him that she was dying. I kissed her forehead and said goodbye to her as she looked at me with her big brown eyes as I cried...I came home and prayed for her and slept with her sweater, blanket and collar in my arm. Called the vet in the morning no improvement, he wanted to keep her on the fluids and IV meds., hoping she would get better. My phone rang at 2:00 that afternoon and the Vet told me that Buffy passed away peacefully. He said maybe renal failure, kidney failure, or she was toxic. I have no closure as to why and it hurts so bad, cause she did not get into anything toxic, I have a almost 3 year old grandson at my house and it is very animal and child proof and she was a inside pet. I can only accept that God took her at that time cause she had a cyst on her breast and it had grown in the past 2 weeks, and if that was to be the cause of her death in the near future, it would have been worse then what had happened to her at that time. I miss her so much and had the gift of loving her for 12 years. I have her ashes here with me so I feel she is close to me..I will write more about Buffy and me later and how we met and post a picture. Thanks for letting me share...Buffy's Momma Debbie
