I just went to look at a car on Mt Baker Hwy, it is close to the mts so it is alot colder up there. Anyway, there was this dog a gold lab about a year old tied up with no shelter in the cold rain, she was shiviring, I said "why dont you give me that poor dog" he said no no that is my son's. I did not buy a car there did'nt even want to look after I saw that. What the hell is the matter with people. I was having thoughts like I'd like to tie u up here you stupid blankety blank. Anyways people like that just burn me up. I have had in the back of my mind to rescue a cat...one that is a few years old that was given up I havent found her yet, I dont know how Gato will feel about that but he has been through all my furbabies these last 15yrs. I dont feel like I want to get another dog, I am not ready to go down that road not to mention the deposits and trying to find a place that will let me have a dog, it was very hard finding a rental with my boy Moose, I've paid deposits as high as 750 to have him....and I would do it again for Moose if I could only have the chance, but that's not going to happen. I always said if I had a farm,,,,my chickens would die of old age. Pamela

Pamela,

I feel rage and sadness each and every day at the cruelty in this world! It's so extra-frustrating when we try as hard as you did and still don't succeed. I do believe, though, that when we put our heart into something, as you did, that there is some kind of healing energy that gets sent out. So on some level, I think that dog "caught" your love. It was wonderful of you to speak up and ask if you could have the dog. I really admire that! Most of the time I don't act as boldly, and I wish I could do more. You are a true kind soul. wub.gif

God bless,

Kathy

p.s. It's funny that you should mention chickens, because it was shortly after I found out how chickens were slaughtered that I became vegetarian!

I believe people who are cruel to animals will be dealt with accordingly. What goes around comes around and when it comes back around surely they'll remember all the cruel things they've done thoughout their pathetic lives and come to the realization that this is why they are being punished. And when it does happen, it's just impossible to conjure up any sympathy for people like that.

Dear Pamela,
I think this world is just so hard sometimes and I cringe at the horror that is done by the hands of human beings not only to little helpless animals but also to children. I believe they will get their just reward for what they have done and the harsher the punishment the better.

I could not even spank any of my fur babies or fur grand babies I think raising my voice is harsh enough. I think the words and looks we give them are enough.

But when someone treats a helpless one so horrible by not at least giving food, shelter and water they should be turned in for making the poor animal suffer. If only there were more strict laws then maybe it would convince people not to have someone they are unwilling to care for.
Love, Ann

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.
