Hi everybody! My name is Jan and my avatar picture is of my lab baby, Phoenix, who died on April 30th.

Soon after, I found this wonderful, wonderful website.

I don't come by often - not because I don't care - but because I know when I DO come here, I'll be turned into a blubbering baby (I am literally crying right now).

I just want you to know how much I care about YOU and the pain you're going through. I really do want to be here, to be some kind of support for you as others wonderful people on this board were for me back in the blackest days.

Animals are my heart - my entire heart - and my heart breaks for y'all - it truly does. For what it's worth, I honestly and truly believe that our furbabies who have passed on are in a much better place than we are!!! We will be reunited at some point. There is not a doubt in my mind about this.

I love you all (and your babies). Please do know that I care tremendously. I am so sorry we've all had to find this website - but I'm so grateful that it's here.

Love,

Jan

Hey Jan,

Your Phoenex was one gorgeous boy! I'm sorry that you lost him.

My furbaby died at age nine of a sudden illness on June 5th, and I too have had lenghty breaks away from this place. There are times when I simply can't take the heartbreak of this place.

However, this past week, I've found myself back here again.

Come and stop by anytime. You may see me here. You may not. smile.gif

Hi, Jan -

Phoenix was such a handsome fellow.

I, too, am so glad I found this website. I lost my sweet Shiloh 8 weeks ago to lymphoma...she was only 5 years old. The love and support I've recieved here has made the loss Shiloh bearable.

Hi Steph and Kathleen!!

I'm so sorry we're going through this together - but yet, thank God we do have each other to lean on.

Just for clarification (and it's my fault because I didn't specify) but Phoenix was a beautiful lady ( tongue.gif ). She was my sweetest angel. I miss her tremendously. But, I know she's with our other 2 dogs we've had to put to sleep because of old age - our schnauzer, Spike, and our ##er spaniel, Duke.

Soon, our beagle, Corky, will be joining them. He's approx. 15 and he's completely senile, sees very little, and is very hard of hearing - but he's still comfortable and that's all I can ask.

Love to y'all,

Jan (mom to Duke, Spike, Corky, Phoenix, Molly, Pepper, Dawson, Alfie, Keesha)!

Hi Jan
I am so sorry for your loss and of Phoenix and so sorry to hear that Corky might be next. My precious miniature schnauzer has cancer and cushings disease, she has been so sick and I am afraid I could lose her anytime. We just lost my sons chihuahua Chili Bean to cancer, she had just turrned 10 this month. I kept her every couple of week at my house and we miss her so much.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.
