Been having a difficult time lately...really just missing my bird so much. He was in my life for nearly 30 years, so I guess a year and half is short in comparison. I think it's going to take a very, very long time for me to accept that he's gone...if ever.

I actually had a dream about Boogie a few weeks ago. He came back to me, and I was so happy in my dream...but there was something odd about my bird. He looked a bit ragged and tired, which I found to be really sad and shocking. When I woke up, I could only think that it was my brain telling me that even if the impossible happened and Boogie could come back, he would still eventually pass away.

Hi, Pamela, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing. Although our hearts will always long to have our beloved companions with us after they precede us to the angels, you are correct in that having them be able to "return" to us would mean that they would once again know pain and illness again which would eventually cause them to once again go through the process of physical death. Since it is a choice of having our companions stay with us in physical pain and suffering, or having their sweet Living Spirit free of the earthly bondage restored to their former youthfulness - - as painful as it is for us to adjust to the physical absence of our beloved companions, it is our deepest love for them that wants them happy and healthy in eternal joy. For me, even all these many years in my now senior years, a mist can still come to my eyes and an ache to my heart when I think of my beloved companions that I grew up with who have been with the angels for many decades. The good news is that eventually the deepest sorrow does ease as our hearts fill with the warmth of our treasured memories, and the happiness we will share when it is our appropriate time to join our beloved companions in eternal joy. Until then, we are blessed with the privilege of continuing our earthly journey in a way that honors the unconditional eternal love we share with our beloved companions.

I hope today is treating you kindly, Pamela, and that you will have a peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Boogie's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

The most blessed way I have of knowing God's comforting love and grace is to look into the eyes and heart of God's creatures' sweet angelic face.

Moon_beam expressed things so perfectly. I feel the same but couldn't come up with the words.

I am glad you checked in, Pamela. Love to you and Boogie wub.gif ,

Kathy

Hi Pam, so sorry for your loss of Boogie. My mom had birds, so I know he meant the world to you. All I can tell you is that it's painful, but the pain lessens, but never goes away. Moon took the words right out of my mouth.
Birds live so much longer than cats or dogs, can't imagine 30 yrs. I'm sending postive energy your way. I walk and think, I miss my babiez everyday.

Hugz Moon Bean, I'm so comforted by your response to everyone in need here, you're the reason this site keeps people coming back. I'm sure other mods are great foo, however I knew you before you became a mod, and I knew back then you had all the qualities needed.

Take Care my Friend
