Oh wow this one works I was so afraid I would embarrass myself again since the other picture didn't turn out in my other post.

I have always called Snookie my little silver bomb because until she got sick she was so quick on her feet. I think she looks like the luck dragon on the Never Ending Story.

As I said in my other post she is over weight because I almost lost her when she couldn't eat for 4 days and had to be in the hospital. When she came home and was able to eat again I was desperate and let her have all the food she wanted. She sure loves chicken and veggies not to mention her vanilla ice cream but she only gets the ice cream once a week. Plus the cushings disease makes her hungry all the time.

Thank you my wonderful new friends for all the love and support I have received while I have been so upset and fearful of my baby going to the Rainbow Bridge. You all mean so much to me.

I love my Snookie so much that when the vet ran all the test and said the cancer mass wass huge I could almost feel the cancer eating away at her body. Also her liver is almost twice the size it should be and this week she has been so sick again.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.

awwww. Ann, snookie certainly is a little silver bomb!! very pretty girl~!

I feel for you - both my dogs were getting older, and over the past few years, especially this year, I was religious about giving them a walk by the creek every single day, and generally loving them up good. We also just got a digital camera this spring, so I would take it on our daily walks and take lots of pictures. I would put the pick of the day on my husbands computer wallpaper every day so he could see what he missed.

We have a cattle dog who is almost 16; and we had an english setter "Jake" who was only 11 (he's my avatar). Well, I always thought I was 'safe' with Jake because Spike was still alive -- but he died suddenly in August. Shattered my heart. But I am so glad I was living with the attitude that I was with them, like each day was their last, not in a morbid way but I just made sure I didn't put off ANYTHING for them. I am so glad I gave him a very happy last spring, he loved to go to the creek and he got to go every single day. I am so glad I took those daily pictures, else I would have only pics from a few years ago of Jake.

The thing is I wanted to say, I guess, is Jake had to have had either a brain tumor or aneurysm that was undiagnosed. He didn't seem sick at all. You have a diagnosis; but really, you know, we all need to live like today may be our last.

Give snookie a kiss for me! wub.gif

AWWW - such a little sweetheart she was!

Speaking of luck dragons... my surviving dog's name is...Falkor - aka "the luck dragon".

Hi Ann,

Your little Snookie is just adorable! I'm glad you were able to get a picture of her posted. It must be very disturbing to know you could lose her anyday because of her illness.

I'm truly sorry that you are having to deal with this. All of us here at LS fully understand what you are going through and we share your pain. Keep us updated on how things are going.

You're in my thoughts,
__Jim
