I lost my beautiful grizzly on June 8th. The pain was unbearable but I am coming out of the aggressive crying stage. A friend sent me this saying and it made complete sense! Nobody will ever understand the pain unless they've been through it. Love to everybody.

Hi, Grizzly, please permit me to offer you my sincerest sympathies in the physical loss of your beloved Grizzly. Losing a companion is never easy regardless of the circumstances or how long we are blessed with the privilege of their company.

Grizzly, this grief journey is one of the most painful experiences you will know on this side of eternity. It is a journey that can only be traveled one day at a time, sometimes one moment at a time in your own way and in your own time - - with the reassurance you are not alone. This wonderful forum is here for each of us who need a safe place to come to share what is in our hearts with those who truly do understand what we are going through. Please know we are here for you for as long and as often as you need us.

Although it will take time for the deep sorrow in your heart to ease, there is one thing that will never change: the love bond you and your beloved Grizzly share. Love is eternal - - it is not restricted to the physical laws of time and space. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that your beloved Grizzly's sweet Living Spirit continues to share your earthly journey as he always has and always will for he is always and forever a part of your heart and memories - - he is always and forever a heartbeat close to you.

I know all too well from first hand experience that when our hearts are suffering with deep grief there are no adequate words in any language that can soothe the searing pain of sorrow. Still I hope the words I share with you will offer you some measure of comfort, support, encouragement, and hope as you travel your grief adjustment journey.

Thank you so much for honoring us in sharing your beloved Grizzly with us, and for sharing this wonderful saying of comfort and encouragement that your friend was so thoughtful in sending to you. Perhaps sometime you will feel up to sharing a picture of your beloved Grizzly with us - - but only when / if you want to. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Grizzly, and please let us know how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

I am truly very sorry about your Grizzly. I lost my pup on June 10th and the searing pain is all too familiar. Thank-you for sharing this poem. Every word of it is true.

I'm sorry for you too. My beloved friend Henry cat died suddenly on June 1 (he was only 10), and I am in the same situation (sadness-wise). I hope you begin to feel better soon.

Grizzly

Thank you for this beautiful poem. It truly DOES say it all. For the rest of our lives we will lives with a dog- or cat- or bunny- or ferret- or fish- or any one of God's other creature- shaped hole in our hearts. And we with these animal shaped holes in our heart immediately recognize each other and need no words to express to each other what we feel.

These heart-holes WILL be filled someday, in that great gettin' up morning when we are reunited with the in God's Prefect World.

Have the best day possible - and if you live somewhere where the temperature seems like a fortaste of hell - stay inside.
