When our sweet Ricky(14 year old Chihuahua) died two weeks ago, our daughter said to watch for a sign that he is okay. She said that she felt that pets try to let us know that they are happy and healthy on the other side. I tried to be positive but it was just sooooo painful. A week after, he had to be humanely sent on to the Rainbow Bridge, we were back at the same vets with our 12 year old Chihuahua. A few moments before we got there several magazines were delivered to the vets. I thought nothing of it as I picked one up and the first page I go to has a picture of our Ricky as a puppy. Happy and content, asleep in my lap after a weekend in our motorhome doing what he loved most. If that isn't a sign, I don't know what is. And it wasn't a picture of a dog that looked like Ricky, it was actually Ricky. The magazine comes out once a year and has been around since August but they just happened to bring some by that day.

I'm sorry for your loss mhmama. I too lost my beloved dodger 2 and a half weeks ago. On the 4th day one of my cats woke me up to begin morning roll call and feeding for our 9 cats. I opened the door for her and laird down for an extra snooze before dozing off my dodger barked in the next room. I truly believe god gave me this gift and I know our furry friends are more than safe. This is my greatest wish and prayer. The truth is though thT my mourning has been difficult and filled with so many tears. I do believe your daughter knew and the magazine arrived with perfect timing. Peace and god bless

Hi, Mhmama, please permit me to add my sincerest sympathies in the physical loss of your beloved Ricky. Losing a companion is never easy regardless of the circumstances or how long we are blessed with the privilege of their company. Euthanasia is the last gift of love we can give to our companions at great sacrifice to ourselves so that they can be restored to their former youthfulness in the company of the angels.
I'm so glad you find seeing the picture of your beloved Ricky in the magazine comforting. Our beloved companions do find a way to let us know they are well and continue to share our earthly journey as they always have and always will. Although when they precede us to the angels it is a painful adjustment to not having their precious physical presence with us, the good news is that the love bond we share with them is eternal - - it is not restricted to the physical laws of time and space. I hope today is treating you kindly and that you will have a peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Ricky's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you're doing. Peace and blessings, moon_beam -------------------- In heaven's perfect garden there is no grief or pain, and all of God's creation join the angels' sweet refrain.
The most blessed way I have of knowing God's comforting love and grace is to look into the eyes and heart of God's creatures' sweet angelic face. |
