Sad And Dissapointed Options

I guess I'm a little sad and dissapointed that no one responded to my post earlier. I was hoping to get some support and comfort. I thought that was what this forum was about.

I shared that my husband feels I should be over my feelings by now about losing my Lucymae 4 weeks ago. I mentioned my husband self medicates himself every night so he does not have to feel his feelings as I do and I was feeling alone in my grieving.

Sorry I am whining but it has been a hard time for me. Just wanting some extra support.

hi, sometimes people lose track of what posts they have already responded to. a good practice on busy message boards like this is to stick with one post, maybe two, rather than starting a new post each time. i think you'll find it works best.

It's not easy honey and I have found that men and women grieve in different ways. My husband has a tendency to compartmentalize while I am much more demonstrative. You don't just 'get over' the loss of a pet. You grieve them the way you do any family member. I highly encourage getting another pet - not to replace the one you had but more so to have another to love. I think it helps. Give the forum a chance

Thank you for your support. I did not mean to sound whiney but this is really the main place I have to talk about the loss of my dog. I just hung up her picture today in a beautiful frame. I had to take most of her pictures down after she was put to sleep. I still sleep with the blanket she fell asleep on. I don't know if I will every wash it. I can see her hair all over it.

I was changing the linens on my sofa and I could see her hair all over ths sofa. I put my nose to it and took in a big breath just to smell her escence. I miss her.
