Hi Everyone,
I took my fur grand baby Amber to the vet in Jackson and the minute he looked at her he said we will do blood test, an ultra sound and a liver biopsy but I can tell you right now she has liver failure. I asked him how he knew and he said she is yellow.

He showed me that her flesh on her ears were yellow, her eyes are yellow as well as her throat and gums. I can't believe no one in the whole family didn't see that she was yellow. We were all holding her and kissing her but it was as though we were blind.

He said she is badly dehydrated and had to give her fluids. She will be taking amoxi drops, lixotnic and we will be trying to give her Nutri-Cal since she has not eaten since the carpet cleaner solution poisoning. I guess this is the end result of something so tragic.

He said if she can not eat in 5 days or shows no improvement the only thing to do is to put her to sleep, the most they can go is 12 days without food. Our hearts are sad and broken from losing our fur grand baby Chili Bean and we are afraid that Amber might die plus the added burden of our poor Snookie girl being so sick. From now on I will not be ignorant of the danger to our babies.

My family and I are asking you to pray for Amber for a speedy recovery. She is only 7 and we want her around for a long time to come. I know a lot of people in this world would say it is silly to pray for an animal. I don't believe anyone here would say that because we all love and have loved our babies. I believe that God loves us and therefore He loves what we love. Thanks so much.

--------------------

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.
