Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang, and Theresa. I hope all three of you are well. Glad to hear that your apt. manager filled out the SNAP forms. I bet Theresa enjoyed her balcony time. Tang is like my Shelley who comes out for a bit and then goes back inside. Hopefully it won't be much longer before you get your UE. It's been raining here all week, but today is nice, just cloudy, but calm and warm enough for a nice walk. My girls are happy to have me home. Hope you have a nice weekend! smile.gif

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cool sometimes light rainy gloomy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I'm so glad your rental manager graciously completed the SNAP form for you, and once again, hope your meeting this coming Wednesday for assistance will provide you the benefits you need until you are once more employed. Yes, the government / assistance forms can be very tricky to fill out as it is not always clear which box goes with which answer. I hope your UE request will be sorted out quickly, my friend. Please let us know what happens.

I don't blame you at all for not following up with the LG&E query. To go that route again would, in my opinion, not be healthy - - unless it was the absolute last job on the face of the earth available. The good news is that you have received a follow up query from Pomeroy, and hope this will boost your "ranking" for job opportunities. Please let us know how things go.

Today's activities have been focused on reconciling the checkbook with the bank statement - - which went fairly smoothly this month. In a couple of weeks it will be time to do the November "bill-a-thon" planning. YIKES! Just 2.5 months left in this year.

Lunch has been served, and my precious Noah is on his window bench surveying the bleakness of his domain -- no birds chirping today - - and most of the woodland residents appear to be tucked into the nests and dens as there is no activity from the squirrels to be seen as well.

I hope your errands went smoothly today, my friend, that this day is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing how things are going for you and your precious Theresa and little Tang, and your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Hello DannysMom and Caturday greetings to you, your precious Mindy and and Shelley.

Yes, Theresa loves her time outside, while Tang is a little more ambivalent. It makes sense though when looking at their backgrounds. Theresa spent the first 4 years of her life in a cage, while Tang was abandoned to the elements. But that's all over now in their forever home; as long as I can keep it anyway (sigh)

Had a nice walk through the neighborhood myself to clear my head. Didn't help much though. Not much else going on here about. I do hope today was kind to you and your girls and that you all have a most blessed evening. TTFN

Hello moon_beam and Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Sorry to hear about his bleak scenery.

Yes, another year seems to be on its way out; good riddance. Perhaps one of these years I will have something to show for the time spent, but I'm not holding my breath. Something tells me my punishment is far from over. Even though the LG&E job is IT, it's in the same building and only until the end of December. As you said, not healthy. I've finally gotten to the point of posting on so many jobs, I seem to have gotten them all before any new ones have shown up.

No, I still have not gotten my letter from UE and it is starting to worry me frankly. If it's not contested what on earth is there to review? My case is probably sitting in the in box of some angry pencil pusher that hates his/her job. At least they HAVE a job.

Not much going on here. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most peaceful evening. TTFN

It's late, and I am in a most foul mood, and maybe I shouldn't say this, but I just can't hold it in any longer. What infuriates me is the complacency and indifference of people. When there is someone in need we just turn the other way, wish the person well, and hope someone else is going to help. People may say "oh, I hope you will find some way to pay the rent". Oh yeah? And just exactly is he supposed to do that? Rob a bank? Print off a few hundred dollar bills? Grab it out of thin air? A person needs help and we all are just standing by and do nothing. When some disaster happens like 9-11 or hurricane Sandy we get out the pocket book and write checks, but when someone here we know is in need we do nothing. Shame on us.

Dr. McCoy: Not even a Vulcan could feel a starship die.
Mr. Spock: Call it a deep understanding of the way things happen to Vulcans, but I know that not a person, not even the computers on board the Intrepid, knew what was killing them or would have understood it had they known.
Dr. McCoy: But, 400 Vulcans?
Mr. Spock: I've noticed that about your people, Doctor. You find it easier to understand the death of one than the death of a million. You speak about the objective hardness of the Vulcan heart, yet how little room there seems to be in yours.
Dr. McCoy: Suffer the death of thy neighbour, eh, Spock? Now, you wouldn't wish that on us, would you?
Mr. Spock: It might have rendered your history a bit less bloody.

Believe me, I understand how you feel. I feel it too (obviously) Shame on us, indeed. Perhaps if more people felt as you do, the world would be a better place. Thank you for caring. God Bless

Hi, Tracy, rainy cloudy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits, and that your laundry time went smoothly.

If you do not receive confirmation of your UE benefits by Tuesday, can you inquire about the status during your appointment on Wednesday? I truly am very sorry you are going through this, Tracy, and continue to keep you and your precious Theresa and little Tang in my thoughts and prayers that you WILL get a good job offer quickly, and until then -- you WILL receive the assistance you need to stay together as a family.

Not much happening around the homestead today. Noah is doing well. He is snuggled next to me as I'm writing to you. Just going to try to keep the day as peaceful as possible.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny, warm Sunday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Glad to hear you both are well.

Laundry went fine, no competition or broken machines. I guess I could ask the SNAP case worker about the UE, but being different departments, I'm not hopeful of any new info. I had to cancel my Netflix today to save some money. I have 2 discs that will take me to Friday (the return deadline being the 20th) On demand free spot has been greatly expanded, and there is much to catch up on. I may have to cancel or suspend Theresa and Tang's wellness plans too if I don't get resolution on UE by the 18th sad.gif I'll have to check with Banfield. I can't afford to take either one in anyway, and Tang's ear still looks good.

First, I was disappointed and my reduced UE benefits, then was hopeful that SNAP would shore that up, assuming I even get it. Now I can't even get my UE released. If I get denied, I'm royally up the creek. But, I can't imagine why I would be with KFORCE not contesting (sigh) All this and a federal government shut down because a bunch of children play acting at being adults can't learn to share their toys.

However, Theresa and Tang are well and enjoyed balcony time this morning. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

I hope you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa are doing well. I'm glad Tang's ear is doing well. Tabby and Smokey still come by, but we see Tabby more. The other evening my husband was spooning out some small noodle mixture we had as leftovers. All of a sudden something came under his hand and started eating, it was Tabby. It kind of startled him because it was getting dark. Tabby really liked that food. He eats all the time and he is looking better......We had to buy a new fridge and of course I found a few goodies in the freezer of the old one. One little package contained leftover turkey breast from last Thanksgiving. The cats really enjoyed that.

Tracy, I hope things get better for you, I'm hoping and praying, and sending lots of good energy. I hope those kids in Washington settle things soon. If the gov't defaults, it will probably affect my husband's pay. The National Guard here had some workers furloughed, the ones that service the helicopters.

I hope you have a peaceful and cozy night with your furbabies. We have a big night planned, gonna' watch an old Columbo on MeTv. biggrin.gif ....TTFN..

Hello LoveMyMickey

Thanks for the well wishes for Miss Theresa and Sgt. Tang. I'm glad to hear Smokey and Tabby are still coming around and seem to be doing well. Chucking at Tabby "digging in" even before hubby could get the food all the way out. Sounds like he's becoming social. Tabby cats are very social after you give them time to get to know you (as I can attest with Tang)

Enjoy your show, and hope you, your husband and the neighborhood critters are well. I hope Mickey sends you many butterflies. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, dreary Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I am so glad to know that your precious companions are doing well, and that your little Tang's ear is continuing to do so very well since his last surgery, as well as doing well with his insulin. I know this takes a huge concern off your mind, my friend.

I do so hope and pray you will be able to get the UE benefits issue resolved quickly, Tracy. The government shutdown is affecting so many people on so many different levels - - it really is atrocious. Don't let the matter drop, my friend. Please let us know how things go.

My computer expert was here this morning to help me install the external hard drive. It took a call to the manufacturer for technical support to get it installed on the desk top - - but installed sweet as you please on the lap top - - go figure. He showed me how to open files and save them, so - - I'm very pleased. He also checked into the two "action items" that the computer was saying needed attention. He explained them to me and we decided to just "archive" them instead of installing the updates. AND he fixed an issue with the Google search page on the desk top. Just a click here and a click there - - and voila. He is sooo good. So hopefully now the desk top is squared away with the W 7 update. Looking at the clock it is time to start getting lunch ready for both my precious Noah and me.

As always I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam and Sunny Monday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Glad to hear you are both well.

No mail today due to it being a holiday. So, no UE letter. I'm starting to wonder if that glitch I ran into trying to claim my check online before using the phone system has something to do with it. But, then again, I do remember getting an approval letter in the past before getting my benefits. I just don't remember it taking so long (sigh)

I'm glad to hear you got you computer/hard drive issues squared away. Not much else going on here. Theresa and Tang are both well, and enjoyed time on the balcony stalking the local wild life and various bugs. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. Hi, Tracy, pleasant sunny Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

I hope you will get confirmation about your UE benefits soon, my friend - - and if possible in today's mail. With the government in a mess combined with hoilday closures can intensify the anxiety. Every night as I listened to the news there are accounts of how the current government disputes are seriously impacting people's lives, and I think of you, my friend, and send another prayer heavenward asking for your and your precious companions' provision.

Tomorrow you have your meeting for SNAP support, and I'm also hoping you will be able to find someone to help you sort through the delay on your UE benefits. Please let us know how things go, my friend.

This morning I needed to make a run to the post office to mail the renewal for my current health insurance coverage. I wanted to mail it with a tracking number so that I know it has been received, and I wanted to get to the post office before it closed for the lunch hour. Thankfully the special trash collection bins are on the property adjoining the post office, so I was able to make that errand run, and then it was on into town to pick up another bag of Noah's dry food. Two hours later I was back home with my precious Noah who was eagerly greeting me.

Yesterday afternoon I got a call from the contractor who is working on the railing to the front porch. He and his associate came by to get a second set of measurements just to make sure that his first measurements were accurate. He apologized for the job taking so long and he hopes to be able to have it ready to install sometime in the next week or so. Which - - according to what he told me time frame wise when he was here the first time is - - right on schedule. Still it's nice to know at this stage that progress is being made on this project, and that it will soon be able to be completed.

Lunch has been served and my precious Noah is settling down on his lamb's wool cushion for his afternoon nap. The sun is shining cheerily today and the temps are decent so we are enjoying having the big door open and gated for fresh air. Will need to make a trek to the mailbox later on.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy Tuesday greetings to you and you precious Noah.

Glad to hear you got your errands done and estimates on your project(s) No UE confirmation today, but I knew that before I checked the mail sad.gif I called Frankfort an the guy said my claim is still being reviewed for an "issue" which he could not expand on except to say something about my having claimed income for those 2 days I worked the first week. I said it wasn't this hard last time, but he said much has changed in the processing/rules since then; my luck.

I did get a call from a recruiter at Randstad for a job at AIG insurance just across the bridge from downtown in Jeffersonville IN. They are looking for 9 claims agents and they don't interview, they just look at the resumes and let Randstad do the vetting. And the recruiter said my resume looked really good (thanks to you of course) It's M-F days but only 11.50/hour. But it's better than UE, assuming I ever get it (sigh) We'll see.

Theresa and Tang are both well. Tang has been especially cuddly today. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a wonderful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in reasonably good spirits.

So - - you worked two days of the week that your "contract" ended - - and from what I remember you were not paid for those two days - - so - - yes, I would presume it would be logical that you would be able to claim that for UE compensation. My friend, I am so sorry resolution of this is taking so long. To those who are doing the "review" the process is "normal" - - but for YOU, and the many others who are totally dependent upon UE benefits beginning - - it is not. I hope you will be able to obtain some assistance today. Please let us know how things go for you.

How would the transportation work out for you should you get a call from AIG? Please let us know how this works out, my friend.

I have been thinking about Humana - - knowing working there would be much easier for you transportation-wise and perhaps even more financially beneficial salary-wise. Humana is very "government" attached with Medicare health coverage, and now with the Affordable Care Act. I am just pondering that they, too, may have had to suspend their hiring until Congress gets the budget fight over with. If this the case, -- at some point down the road there may still be an opportunity for you - - if it comes at the right time for you.

Nothing much going on here today - - at least not at the moment anyway. Noah and I are enjoying the big door open lisenting to the songs of the woodland residents and the hum of the traffic on the road. Sometimes when the air is very still I can hear the whistle of the baggage train as it travels on the tracks about 5 miles down the road from me. If I read the news correctly the State officials have approved work to restore passenger rail service from Roanoke along the eastern corridor. I hope this proceeds as that would be a major improvement over the hassle of traveling by air. Right now passenger train service is available from Lynchburg, but the departure and arrival times are very early in the morning and very late at night, respectively, which does not make easy driving for elderly eyes.

My friend, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Gloomy Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I do hope passenger train service is restored in your area as it sounds as though it will help you a great deal.

I did get paid for those 2 days I worked (they couldn't NOT pay me) but that was a very small check and I did claim the earnings. But there should be a good amount lefter over, plus the other week I got nothing. And I'm coming up on my next 2 week claim. If this is not resolved by the 25th, I will most likely lose power, phone and internet. Unless I can get some additional aid somewhere sad.gif I can check with the local group of churches that helped with my power bill a few years back, but I may still lose phone and internet; and those are very important for job searches. I keep praying, but I don't think I'm getting anywhere sad.gif

I did see in the news about the senate reaching an agreement on the shut down, but the house has yet to agree - and let's face it, that's where most of the troublemakers are. Oh, the AIG would just be a matter of taking the same bus downtown that I always do and then there are 2 different ones that go across the bridge to Jeff. Of course I have not heard back on that one either. I know people keep trying to encourage me, but I really feel that I am at the end of my rope and bad things are going to start raining down on me soon. Poor Theresa and Tang, they deserve better.

In any case, I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

**JOB SEARCH UPDATE**

I sent an email to the Randstad rep asking about the AIG job in Jeffersonville IN. Two minutes later he called to say I have the job and that AIG would send me the background check registration. When that's done he will send email to get me reactivated (I've worked through Randstad before) It's only 11.50/hour, but hey, it's a job. Perhaps it will turn into something better. It's still an 1.25-1.5 hour bus ride(s) but neither is an express, so that's 35.00/month saving on the bus pass. It starts next week, perhaps later depending on how long the background check takes. Now, if I can only get mu UE payments.

Theresa and Tang are well. I called Banfiled fearful I'd have to cancel their wellness plans. But the nice lady on the phone said she'd waive both October payments as a courtesy with no lapse in coverage.

Hi, Tracy, - - YEA!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I just HAD to get that out first in the JOY of you having employment again. At this point it is income, and that is better than nothing. PLUS - - the cost of your transportation will be saving you $35 a month which can go to something else - - maybe being able to pay your rent on time again which I know has been a major concern for you. The "bummer" is your travel time, but hopefully you will not have any late evening staff meetings to attend which would be VERY helpful.

Now - - cloudy, forecated rainy Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I am also very thrilled to share your news that Banfield will waive your October payments for your precious Theresa's and little Tang's wellness plans instead of your having to cancel them. This is very good news indeed.

I continue to lift your UE benefits in thought and prayer, my friend. There are so many people whose lives have been literally disrupted from the misbehavior of our government elected officials, and I am so very, very sorry that you and your precious companions have been among them.

This morning I finally realized that I need to update my precious Noah's ID tags on his collar reflecting the new home phone number, so I will be getting new tags ordered for him. I also have him registered with a national pet finder organization, and I need to update information on that website as well. This summer has been so focused on contractor this and that that now I am finally able to mentally process other things that need attention as well.

Not much else going on here today. Noah is on his bathroom window perch taking a nap as I'm writing to you. The gloomy weather today has him a bit down as the woodland residents seem to be tucked in their dens and nests, but the good news is "the sun will come out tomorrow" - - and both Noah and the woodland residents are patiently holding "on to tomorrow".

Tracy, I am so very thrilled for your news of your job with AIG - - and hopefully it will lead to better pay quickly. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Thursday greetings to you and your precious Noah. It's good you are getting his info updated; I can imagine that will give you peace of mind. I hope the little guy gets some sunbeams to bask in tomorrow.

The weather is about the same here. Rainy and gloomy this morning, but the sun is finally making an appearance and 58 degrees. Thank you for the well wishes on my finding a job as well as the UE benefits (still no word) AIG sent me a link to register for the background check, and Randstad sent 11 PDFs that need to be signed and dated for reactivation. My apartment manager was kind enough to print them up for me before leaving for the day. Tomorrow I will fax back to the recruiter. As you said, no improvement on the travel time, but no express fares to deal with. So, that's good. Plus there are to different Indiana buses I can take.

Through the United Way web site I was able to get the number for the ministry that paid my LG&E brown bill in 2010, but the message said they only take calls for appointments M-Th 9-12. So, I guess I will call Monday. I too was relieved (and felt slightly less of a failure) when Banfield waived the October payments without having to cancel Theresa and Tang's plans. It would seem our prayers have been answered so far.

Not much else going on here. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah, and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, so glad your apartment manager was kind enough to help you with the forms you needed printed off so that you can get them back to your new employer tomorrow. I'm also glad you were able to locate the number of the ministry that may be able to help you with your electric bill. Please let us know how things go for you on that.

I checked Noah's ID tags on his collar while he was having lunch and much to my surprise his tags are okay - - he does not have a tag with our address and telephone number - - only a tag with our names and the contact number of the pet finder organization. So I visited the pet finder's web site and discovered they had my correct cell phone number for contact, so I just updated the information adding my new home phone number and added my e-mail address. So that was very good news - - my precious little boy has been protected all this time for which I am very thankful.

Need to make a trek to the mailbox while the rain has taken a break. Once again, my friend, I am sooooo thrilled for you in having another job. I hope you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.
