When we got you I wasn't the one that wanted a cat; we had the two dogs and I was happy with them. But it wasn't long before you became my kitty and I became your dad. You became that once in a lifetime pet. For a couple of years it was you and me, you were why I came home. I always tried so hard to protect and care for you. I hoped so much that I would have you with me for twenty years. But, in the end no matter how hard I tried I couldn't protect you from the terrible sickness that took you from me. I still can't believe your gone; it seems so unreal. I miss you so much nothing seems right without you. Goodbye my Baby Nik, I'll always love you.

Her last full day. She was so sick I felt bad taking a picture but was afraid it would be the last, and it was. The next day she was gone

Oh John, Nikita was such a beautiful little cat and it is so sad that she has gone. My lovely boy was only three when he died too and it is just not fair to lose them so early when we love them so very much. I had to smile when you said you were not that keen on getting her in the beginning because my husband was exactly the same when we got each and every one of our cats. My cats adore my husband and choose him over me and he spoils them rotten, but I had many tears and lots pleading before he would actually agree to me getting them in the first place. We have three dogs and two cats, my husband is a dog man, but you wouldn't know that when you see him cuddling and loving those cats.
I know how devastating and unreal it feels when they leave us and my sympathies are with you. What did Nikita have wrong with her? . Don't worry about discussing it now if it is too painful for you, i am just curious to what would take a beautiful and healthy looking cat like Nikita at such a young age. xoxo

Oh, John - I can't believe how tiny she was when you got her. She doesn't even look real. Thank you for sharing pictures of your wonderful journey with your precious Nikita. She was such a beautiful kitty - no wonder you miss her so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss, John. Nikita looked like a gorgeous cat and I can imagine what pain her passing has caused you. Keep the good memories close to your heart; eventually you will think of her and smile, maybe with a silent tear rolling down your face.
