As some of you know my dog Holly died in my arms this past Friday. My vet had her cremated and her ashes are waiting for me at his office today. I miss her and I wanted to have a little urn necklace to keep her with me and a regular pet urn to keep at home. I found a website that looked promising, but there are no reviews on the items they sell, the copyright is 2005 (not updated) and the phone number is out of service. I won't buy from them simply because of that, but I wanted to know where I could get similar products to help remember my little girl. I've been trying to search, but I keep choking up every time I start.

I've seen the website this site links to (Ashes to Ashes), but I don't know anything about that site, either, as it has no copyright information or contact numbers. Is there a good place to get jewelry and little urns similar to the ones below? A place that won't take my money and run, so to speak?

I wasn't entirely sure where this should be posted. All I know is that I need a little extra help since this is a first for all of my family and they have about as much of an idea of what I should do as I do.

I hate that this website looks so promising but it's not updated. I suppose it's been abandoned.

Dear MissingHolly

I think that the Ashes to Ashes site which is shown on the LS Home page will be fine. I'm sure that LS wouldn't endorse anything that was questionable. I just took a look and there are some great pieces which seem to be a wonderful way of keeping your Dear Holly close. I didn't think of that for my Noushka , who was also cremated, instead her ashes are next to our dear Tasha in our garden. I sure wish I had.
I'm sure that you will get some more responses as I'm sure I've seen people post about this before.

Ashes to Ashes is a legit site, at least from what i know. something good to do is google the merchant, see if anything negative comes up.

the gems from ashes can be a bit pricey. here's one i've looked at a couple of times: http://www.lifegem.com/

i like those hollow lockets, haven't see those before.

let us know what you decide!

I myself don't know, but it sounds like others have given you some good ideas. I was just curious as to how you were doing. Hadn't seen you post anything since your loss on Friday night. Hope your parents have been able to give you some support. I think this is a great idea for a way to you to memorialize and celebrate Holly's life. Thinking of you and Holly.

Thanks for all the replies. Sadly, as much as I wanted to do the LifeGem I don't have the money for it and I don't think I can trust many people with my dog's ashes. I have a fear that if I send them out the place will have a premade gem and simply send it to me and toss my baby out. Thankfully, while the 206 number on the website I found didn't work, there was another number for ordering that I was able to call. The people are still there and they still make all the different items on the website. They don't need the ashes of the pet to make anything as the majority of their pendants are tiny urns. This is good news for me since I wanted to do it myself.

Thanks again for all the help and support. You are all truly wonderful people and I give my best to all of you.
