My Beloved Casey Options

My belove Casey,

It has been one year today that we had to say goodbye to you. We miss you so very much. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at your picture and remember what a special boy you were. Casey, you were my first cat and I was very lucky to have found you. I remember like it was yesterday seeing you in the cage at the shelter. The minute I saw your face I knew you were the one for me. We had 12 great years and I cherish each and every one of them. I lost you far too soon. One of the most important things I have learned is to make sure I do not take any of my pets for granted, we just don't know how long we will have to be together. When I am working on a project and Shelby wants to sit I my lap and put it down and give her my full attention. It is easy to get caught up in our lives and not take the time to really enjoy our pets. I am so sorry I did not realize you were so sick. I still remember the day the vet told me you had cancer (Oct 24, 2008) it devistated me. We only had a few short weeks after receiving the news, but we made the most of it.

I love each and every one of my cats, but you will always hold a special place in my heart. I know you are safe now with God and that one day we will be united again. Each day that passes we are one day closer to that happy reunion. Until then, be happy.
