I am having a terrible day today. Just one of those days when I feel sad and hurt and all alone. And what I really need is my baby, who always loved me no matter what. How on earth am I supposed to go for the rest of my life without that? I mean, really. How?

When my Elvis past, I thought I wouldn't ever sleep again. He was my snuggler in bed. It took me weeks before I got a good nights sleep, and when I did, I felt guilty about it. I know you will feel better one day. I promise you that. It takes time. I am so sorry that you are going through this. Loosing my Maki yesterday has left a hole in me larger than any before. It's hard to breathe. I am a mess. I undersand what you are going through.

I am available to listen anytime.

Losing a loved furkid is something that we just don't have any words of wisdom to overcome. It sounds trite but time really does help to reduce the pain without losing the good memories. I think that most of us have been there and I am so sorry for your loss. Throwing myself into animal rescue always helped me but everyone is different. Give yourself time to work through the emotions and the grief. Be good to yourself emotionally. Find activities to occupy your mind so you don't dwell too much on it. I hope you heal soon and feel better. Take care.
