Whether you support the HSUS or not (I still can't forget finding out about their own kill shelter, myself ), they've put together a video of some of the victories for all sorts of animals over 2008. While some of these reports are bit skewed (such as seal hunting not being anywhere near banned in Canada yet) & not quite as glorious as they portray them, the overall message and positive thrust of the movement to help end animal abuse is an inspiring one nonetheless, and I thought it fitting to share this just before the Christmas holidays. After watching their video, I'm still sitting here crying, both in sorrow AND in gladness and hope for the present and future of these glorious, precious creatures, and for mankind finally wisening up regarding their Universal value to the All.

So as we either celebrate or merely survive the holiday season, let's not forget about our fellow creatures, those who will not get any break from their dire situations, no matter what day of the year it is. Watch the video and do something, anything, helpful & kind for even one of our furred, feathered or scaled brethren somewhere.....and be in-spirit-ed!
