I'll Miss You..., poem i just wrote Options

I’ll Miss You…


Curled up somewhere inside myself
crying ,screaming, whimpering
A shell sits staring at a tv.
I don’t want the world to see the real me
My old self peeks out to laugh and rejoice
Then remembers my little baby is gone away and I can’t stop the tremble in my voice
Force my mind to catch up with my heart
But they are both too broken apart
I force myself to be social
When I’m somewhere inside trying to hide
Feeling like I wish I were with my kitty again
I feel comforted by my other furry friends
I look at your urn and still don’t want to believe
People ask, “How long will you grieve?”
They weren’t there to see you suffer, to take your life away like I
They weren’t there when I held you and sang to you as I knew you had to die
They aren’t there in my head constantly hearing self blame and regret
They can move on and forget
I cant.
I don’t want to forget any of you acorn
Our connection still lives on
I hope one day I can smile at the thought of you and not tear up too
I hope you know that you touched my life and changed it and I will never stop loving you
I’ll miss you…until we meet again, my special little baby, my angel, my soul mate, my best friend.

Hi, I know how you are feeling. I wrote a poem too, for my little man, my handsome guy, Max. He was 12 years young, my kitty.

We have alot in common in this time of guilt, loss, hurt, and unrealistic consciousness that we have to deal with.

Hi Corina, What a beautiful poem. I have one for Arthur on Tributes. It is not my own, but captured how I feel. I've tried to write one just can't keep it simple and the point like all the others. I'll keep trying. I'm glad you stopped by to see my photos. I believe they are with us and they do hear us. I've experience it first hand. The whole story is in my forum Did he hear me. I've read so many stories and felt so many broken hearts. I haven't decided which is worst a sickness or injury. I guess it doesn't matter, the pain is still the same. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. A big hug to you and your angels. Ann

thank you ann. those are very kind words. they make me tear up. it is very hard to put emotions into words and poetry. it took awhile for that poem to come out. i will look for your poem and "did he hear me". i found alot of poems that capture how i feel and put it on acorn's tribute too.

i think it hurts any way a pet passes. we are never ready for it even when we know its inevitable. send you and your angels a big hug back.
