Hello
So many tears...
We found sweepy boy lying on the front lawn 2 days ago on opening the curtains, stretched out, a pool of blood around his head and not breathing....PANIC and Dispair...Oh my God was all I kept saying....
Our Big boy...only 1 year old but enormous, thick Grey haired boy.....
He gave us so much love and joy....we miss him SO much...
Advice on helping us through this terrible time PLEASE.....
Thanks

Hello Catrus
How awful for you to find your boy that way my heart goes out to you at this awful time.
The only advice I can give you at the moment is to take one minute at a time and lots of deep breaths.
The pain I know is unbearable, don’t try to stop the tears they are letting out a lot of the pain, scream into a pillow if you feel the need to let off some of the steam.
Everybody here has found that making little memorials helps, dedicate a photo album, a corner of the room dedicated to them with photos and keepsakes, a special place in the garden.
Tell the story of your life together, there is always someone listening on this beautiful site.

Maybe its early days yet for you to be thinking of these things but then maybe it would give you something to focus on.
For me it has been as 17 and 20 months and I still had another cry in the car going to work this morning, so be patient with yourself.

Love Sue

when you are able come back and tell us more about sweepy and how you are feeling.
I am so sorry that this has happened!! You must be so traumatized. It is so difficult to lose a good friend, but when it is violent and sudden it is a terrible shock.
My heart goes out to you.

Catsrus,

I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious Sweepy Boy. What horror you must have experienced, finding him!

I lost my cat Mariah in 1998 to pancreatitis. She, too, had a horrible ending... I first came here when I lost my sweet Little Girl in March of this year, and I spent hours each day here. It has been a lifesaver for me. There is something miraculous that happens when we all come together to support each other.

Although Sweepy's body is not here anymore, his sweet soul is still with you. He loves you and understands how much you love him. Someone at this site had shared a line to a poem, "What the caterpillar perceives is the end, to the butterfly is just the beginning". I believe that, and I know you'll be fully reunited with Sweepy when it is your time. Meanwhile he is not suffering either physically or emotionally--he is in total bliss, and there's no concept of time and space (except for us because we're still in these physical bodies).

One of the people here, a friend I met here, recommends reading through old posts and following different people's journeys through their grief. I think it's an excellent suggestion.

Please let us know how you are doing! We are here for you.

Love,

Kathy

I am so very sorry to hear about your beloved Sweepy Boy........

Have you found out what might have happened???

The panic, I can only imagine how you felt -- I've never been through such trauma...

I am sorry!!!

Please know, Catsrus, when you are able, that WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU!!!!!!
At Lightning Strike, there are many, many wonderful people here to help you....

Like Kathy, (Little Girl's Mommy) said, "Sweepy's sweet soul is still here with you".....
Forever, your Sweepy will be in your heart!!!!!!

The amazing thing about this site, is that, "Although we don't know one another personally/face to face, I have found more friendship here, than in my own life..." The people here, on LS, are truly fantastic.....

If I didn't have my sweet Ben in my life........I don't know where I'd be....

God Bless you my friend......

I hope that you are as okay as you can be right now...
When you can, please let us know how you are doing....

Really, we do care...

Love, Denise

Oh my god!
I am SOOOOO sorry!
I could not even imagine seeing/finding my pet like that.
My pup was only 4 and i just put him down 2 weeks ago on friday.
I know these are different situatiuons, but i KNOW how you feel.
Loosing a pet so early in his life. I miss my A.J SO much.
I dont know if i even have the right words to say to you.
All i know is this site is EXCELLENT!
It has been helping me through the passing of my pup.
Again, i am SO sorry for your loss.
