My heart winces every time I hear or read about problems people are having with their cat companions that are leading them to think of "getting rid of them" in some way, or declawing them rather than working harder on the problem, or any other number of scenarios where the poor cat loses.....too often even their very life! All this very often because people don't take the time to understand the basic natures of cats or try to see the world through their feline eyes, in order to solve a problem.

And so, when I got notice of these courses, I wanted to post them here, to help people avoid such pitfalls and ultimately save not only the cats' lives, but deepen their understanding and bond with their feline(s), through a more thorough understanding and perspective. This is also the kind of information you can simply learn and carry with you for when you run into people who aren't as dedicated about keeping their cats as happy & well-adjusted as you might be!

Joan Levergood is, among other things, a feline behavior consultant currently working with a shelter in Chicago, as well as in her private practice.

There are two classes I'd like to highlight here. First is a "coaching call" teleclass, Mar.18/08, one hr. long, for only $20 US. This class is enti*tled Enhancing Animal Communication with Feline Behavior Awareness and covers Case Applications, Experiences, and Discussions, with Joan Levergood, Animal Communicator & Feline Behavior Consultant.

Here is a brief description of this upcoming coaching call teleclass with Joan:

Coaching Call gatherings are opportunities for students, professionals, and animal lovers to come together and discuss integrating concepts learned into daily living with animals and nature.

They are also forums to share ways to deepen connections and enhance your skills in working with animals and their people as you move forward in the Animal Spirit training sequence(s), continue to work on a professional level, or simply seek to enrich relationships with your own companions. These gatherings can support you in staying active in practicing your skills while waiting to take the next teleclass or in-person course.

Upon registration, you will have an opportunity to submit a question or topic that you would like to discuss. Additional topics from those submitted will be covered in the last portion of the coaching call.

Secondly, "On Demand" courses are audiolinks (and often also including downloads to course materials you can then print out) that you can purchase of recordings taken in previous "live" teleclasses, in case you would like to take a class but can't schedule a call-in at the available times....or if you'd just like to listen rather than participate in a "live" teleclass. These are normally available any time.
