The vet finally sent the bill for Luba's treatment today. It was pretty decent of them to wait 6 weeks before sending it.

I went over and dropped it off in person because I thought it might help me with closure. I'm glad that I went because the vet who looked after her took some time to meet with me and chat about how I am doing. It was very decent of him to do that.

I feel better now. It is time to put my full attention onto Falkor, my surviving dog. His health isn't great - he is going in for tests later in the week. I want to enjoy every day that I have with him.

Steph,
I'm glad you were able to talk to the vet and I'm glad you feel at least somewhat better. Thanks again so much for your post about Babe. Remember they are all in very good company there at the Bridge. Love Falcor now with all your heart and think of Luba when you hold him, as I know you will.

I found a can of Hannah's dog food I didn't know I still had. I fed it to the two new dogs, and I told them it was from my little girl Hannah, and I thanked Hannah because I knew she wouldn't mind.

Take care, Steph.

Steph, your vet sounds like a good one!
My "regular" vet sent me two cards when he learned about Ginger not making it (Ginger was treated at an emergency vet hospital but they sent regular updates to my vet)
the first card was a sympathy card and then the 2nd one was a card stating that my vet made a donation in Ginger's name to the pet loss support group at the emergency vets. I thought that was a great gesture. We are lucky to have such caring people taking care of our animals smile.gif

Ginger was part Norwegian Forest Cat. When I first took him in he was a meanie, so his full name was "Gingersnap", and I did not change his name after I learned she was a he.

Yes, it really helps to have supportive professionals looking after our little friends and us.
The clinic has now offered to post Luba's photo on their memorial site. I'll let you know when it's up!
